Walther P1 - 9x19mm. All the post-war P38 can be recognized by a better finish, the Walther logo in the flag (the only pre-war with this logo is the commercial HP) and the different grips. Sometimes the post-war P38s are used in WWII movies, is this the case of Das Boot (The Boat). But the models it's not always easy to recognize because the grips are often replaced with Nazi issued bakelite grips.

Walther P38 - 9x19mm. This is the actual screen used pistol carried and fired by Scorpio Killer (Andrew Robinson) in Dirty Harry. Visible are machining marks and bluing flaws that can be seen clearly in the film, validating that it is the same pistol.

  • Megatron's gun form in Transformers was the The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Walter P38, complete with scope, stock and barrel extension. The scope also formed his "Fusion Cannon" arm weapon as a robot. The Megatron toy itself was originally part of a line of 1:1 scale transforming objects, and was explicitly labeled as a "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." P38 in that line.
