A modified version of the Smith & Wesson 39 for use by Naval Special Warfare units during the Vietnam War, with an extended and threaded barrel to allow the use of a Mk 3 sound suppressor, a slide lock to prevent the slide from cycling to further reduce noise, higher profile sights for better sighting over a bulky suppressor, and an attachable wire-frame stock.
