Puppet on a Chain is a 1971 crime thriller directed by Geoffrey Reeve and based on the novel by Alistair MacLean. The special agent Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) is sent from USA to Holland in order to track down the drug shipping from Amsterdam.

Revolvers
Colt Detective Special
A Colt Detective Special is carried by Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) in several scenes. In the final scene Sherman's Colt DS is used by Inspector Van Gelder (Patrick Allen).
Smith & Wesson Model 36
When Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) overtakes The Assassin (Peter Hutchins), he is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolver. Next moment Sherman's revolver switches to Colt Detective Special.
Pistols
Smith & Wesson 39
In the opening scene the assassin (Peter Hutchins) uses a suppressed pistol that turns out to be a Smith & Wesson 39.
Femaru 37M
Two of Meegeren's henchmen carry Femaru 37M pistols in different scenes. Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) seizes the pistol in both cases. During the brawl on the barge Sherman's opponent is armed with a suppressed 37M. Sherman manages to disarm him and use the pistol himself. Later he disarms another henchman.
Browning Hi-Power
During the boat chase Sherman's (Sven-Bertil Taube) Femaru 37M switches to a Browning Hi-Power due to a continuity error.
Pocket Pistol
In the scene in Amsterdam Schiphol Airport the assassin (Peter Hutchins) uses a nickel plated pocket pistol with pearl grips. It is seen only in distance. The general shape is similar to Colt Model 1908 Vest Pocket or FN Model 1905 or one of the guns based on the FN model.
Luger P08
In the climactic scene Trudi (Penny Casdagli) holds a Luger P08. Next moment her pistol switches to Walther P38 due to a continuity error. Later this P38 switches back to P08 in hands of Paul Sherman. It is possible that two different props are used in this cases, and one of them may be a replica (see the discussion).
Walther P38
In the final scene Trudi's (Penny Casdagli) Luger P08 switches to Walther P38 due to a continuity error. Her pistol is then used by Paul Sherman (Sven-Bertil Taube) until it switches again to P08.
Beretta M1934
In the final scene Police Colonel De Graaf (Alexander Knox) and Police Inspector Van Gelder (Patrick Allen) are armed with Beretta M1934 pistols.
Shotguns
Double Barreled Over and Under Shotgun
During the boat chase Meegeren (Vladek Sheybal) is armed with an Over and Under Shotgun.
