The Bridge Explosion

In one of the most memorable scenes of the movie Thorton and the posse stop on the bridge to shoot at the gang, not realizing that the bridge has been packed with dynamite. Pike tips his hat to Thorton just as the dynamite explodes sending the posse into the river. Later on, Pike remarks that Thorton won’t be on their trail "after riding half a case of dynamite into the river". The stunt men saddled on live horses rode the exploding bridge into the river. The gang also ties dynamite to the wagon full of guns, and threaten to blow up the wagon if the Mexicans attack them or dont pay up. Lyle uses dynamite to play a joke on Skyes.

Missing Gun

There's a gun missing in this page. A single barrel shotgun appears in the movie at the beginnig.Oliveira 21:38, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

I added it. --Mauser 01:18, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

There's another gun missing as well. When the Wild Bunch rides into the small village after crossing into Mexico to change clothes and horses, and the Gortch brothers start saying Sykes doesn't deserve a full share, Sykes draws a Sharps rifle from a scabbard and cocks the hammer back while quietly moving into position to fire. He is also carrying the big Sharps when he is shot in the leg by Strother Martin's character and rides to safety in the rocks.

The Luger P.08 is shown with the prostitute who shoots Pike in the back, but one is also briefly seen held by the senior German officer ("Commander Frederich Mohr of the Imperial German Army" as he identified himself when Angel kills his ex-finace, but Commander is a navy rank) that Pike shoots after the brief pause when he and Dutch kill Mapache. The Luger flies out of his hand when he starts to fall after being shot by Pike's M1911 (or apparently Star Model B!). One other point if you don't mind, the guy identified as a "Mexican officer" trying to fire the M1917 machine gun in one photo is really the junior German officer, in German uniform, that Tector shoots with his Model 92 and then Lyle finishes off, if I remember correctly, with his shotgun.

Thanks for this site guys, I love it!!

Sykes rifle

After the meet up with Freddie Sykes (Edmund O'Brien) after the opening robbery, Sykes is shown carrying a Sharps Model 1874/77 rifle, also towards the end when he is shot in the leg by Strother Martin's Springfield .30-06. Harleyguy 3 August 17:10

It's been added along with screencaps. --Jcordell 20:11, 19 September 2011 (CDT)

Single barrel shotgun

Sorry for linking to an external page in the Single barrel shotgun section. There isn't an entry for the M48 20 gauge here on IMFDB, and I wasn't sure about the copyrighted photos of the m48 on the other page or I would have uploaded them here. Dudester32 (talk) 15:52, 25 March 2015 (EDT)
