Images and Serpico

I've understood about images, thanks for the warning. As for Serpico - that's what I'm also wondering about - why it's listed on gun's page, but there's not a word about the gun on movie's page itself... --Kloga (talk) 19:18, 14 December 2013 (EST)

The Losers

The article isn't done yet which is why there isn't any proper summary. Dudester32 (talk) 04:52, 11 July 2013 (EDT)

Under the Dome

Is this how I communicate? Thanks for correcting my mistakes on the Under the Dome page, I'm really impressed with your ability to identify firearms! Can you explain how you were able to tell the difference between a P220 or P226 based on that screenshot, and the Beretta? Also, is it OK if I create pages with inaccuracies like that? I figure I can at least help get the pros started... Thanks again. Forhumans (talk) 11:30, 15 July 2013 (EDT)

Captcha

That's odd - are you in a new location? Once you enter it once it should disappear for 30 days. I'll check on the security settings again. --bunni (talk) 12:09, 15 July 2013 (EDT)

Good to hear. I checked on security settings and nothing has been altered so I'm not sure why you were getting that. bunni (talk) 20:29, 15 July 2013 (EDT)
Can you post a screenshot? That would help me track it down. --bunni (talk) 13:23, 20 July 2013 (EDT)
Ok, I made some more changes to the security settings. Hopefully it's gone for good. --bunni (talk) 17:28, 20 July 2013 (EDT)

Criminal Minds (again)

Nice job getting the newer screencaps. I wasn't able to get ahold of DVD sets yet so I appreciate going over and getting some more and better ones. You'll probably notice I've been going in behind ya doing some other edits, mainly cleaning up some of the text to keep it uniform throughout the seasons and provide proper descriptions/notations while reducing spoilers. Also been changing a few gun thumbnail sizes, also for uniformity, as well as adding a section here and there, etc. I hope this isn't causing you any problems or anything. If it is, or you have a preference for anything do let me know - to me they're pretty much your pages, I'm just a big fan of the show trying to round off things here and there for the most part. StanTheMan (talk) 20:17, 16 July 2013 (EDT)

Gotcha on the thumbnail size, I was mainly keeping them in line with the other pages, where the larger pistols were 350px while the smaller ones were 300px but 300 across the board is cool - it doesn't matter that much to me. I can fix them all that way if you want when I get the chance. Longer guns would depend, a lot of SMGs/assault rifles and shorter shoulder arms would work at 400-450 while the longer stuff can be more like 500, but again, it's up to you. As for that title for 5x19, that's kinda screwy that CBS would list it at that when IMDB does it the other way. I'm sure I've seen it without the 'A' somewhere else in a pseudo-official capacity (maybe on the actual DVD release) but otherwise, just sticking with the general rule of thumb about validiating with IMDB, though I didn't know you were going off CBS' own site. Again kinda screwy. StanTheMan (talk) 19:27, 17 July 2013 (EDT)
Oh yeah, I know. Still just thought it was messed up, and I can swear I saw it without the 'A' somewhere else. Bah, hate it when I get tripped up by stuff like that. Anyway about the thumbnails, wanna move them to 300 or keep em how they are right now 'til everything's finished? StanTheMan (talk) 19:42, 17 July 2013 (EDT)
Nice job getting most of those screens of mine overwritten on Season 2. Some were alright, but you have the nice HD ones so that's real good. Everything else looks awesome, I also like your work on other pages (Notably Last Resort as of late). Anyway, I kinda took a break on the show but I may start rewatching it again soon and going over any other guns that might have been missed (though I have to say that may be very few if any by now). Excellent job again. StanTheMan (talk) 17:17, 20 July 2013 (EDT)

24 - Season 5

My apologies for not getting back to you right away (I just got back on here). The 24 wikia indicates that this stuntman who plays that terrorist is Thom Williams.--Gunman5 (talk) 04:25, 20 July 2013 (EDT)

The hitchhiker

Sorry for my English, I'm from Russia. I can't find mistake in my pages, because my English is very bad T_T. I have some question about The Hitchhiker film. You wrote that firearms in this film are non gun. Are you shure? I saw a fire when the shooter fires his gun. If this guns were a replicas it couldn't be load an ammo even blank. I can't understand: are the gunshot fire was made by computer or it was a reali gunshot.--Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:11, 24 July 2013 (EDT)

The Hitcher II: I've Been Waiting

I have a few question: are you shure, that this, this, and this revolvers was a Smith & Wesson Model 10HB. This gun are certainly Mossberg 590. Also, I watched this film again and found this moment: [1] [2]. This revolver has a very long barrel, so now I'm not shure, that it was a Smith & Wesson Model 686--Pyramid Silent (talk) 04:14, 26 July 2013 (EDT)

Apologies

A case of brain paralysis. --Charon68 (talk) 18:31, 31 July 2013 (EDT)

MASH

I wanted to name the MASH movie page with the asterisks, but if you look on IMDB, it's listed without the asterisks. It had to be a deliberate choice on IMDB's part, since the IMDB page for the TV series DOES have the asterisks. (After MASH doesn't have the asterisks either, so it's a bit confusing.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:18, 14 August 2013 (EDT)

Re: Movie Sources

Do you think we should start barring poor quality screencaps? Not only do they make us look bad, they're potentially making work for other people who have to replace them. --Funkychinaman (talk) 11:46, 23 August 2013 (EDT)

When it's a domestic release, I'm more watchful of the quality. I just do not know about foreign releases. I think most users get the message when given warnings. I would warn the user if it's continually done and then start deleting any more new screenshots. --Ben41 (talk) 11:49, 23 August 2013 (EDT)
Well, this guy has done two American films that look like they were filmed underwater. --Funkychinaman (talk) 12:46, 23 August 2013 (EDT)
I got a better look at The Skeleton Key caps he uploaded, and those look like they came from a cam rip as well. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:08, 23 August 2013 (EDT)

Django Unchained

Did you actually finish the page and just forget to remove the incomplete tag? I have the BD, but I'm not sure what's left. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:54, 28 August 2013 (EDT)

Alright. I just want to wade through the special features. --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:35, 29 August 2013 (EDT)

M20 Super Bazooka image

Are you sure that this image is an M20B1 as opposed to an M20:

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

I'm currently trying to work out what the super bazooka variants are and don't know the difference between an M20 and an M20B1. I can't find any info on this specifically, do you know? --commando552 (talk) 04:42, 31 August 2013 (EDT)

Don't worry, I found a difference in that the shoulder support on the M20 is attached by rings that go around the barrel, wheras on the B1 it bolts directly to the tube like this image. --commando552 (talk) 05:01, 31 August 2013 (EDT)

Re: World War Z

I understand Ben. Since ITunes released the Unrated Director's Cut of 9/13/13, I thought I could take screenshots of it to the page, but I notice your warning and I'll wait until the Blu-Ray/DVD release to post these pics. Thanks for reminding me. Dangerman1973 (talk) 02:52, 15 September 2013 (EDT)

Since the movie is released on DVD/Blu-Ray now, mind if I repost the images I've upload? Dangerman1973 (talk) 19:04, 18 September 2013 (EDT)

The Hangover Part III

How do I get HD screenshots? And no, the pics I uploaded couldn't possibly be from trailer, it can be checked online (YouTube) etc. TitaniumAlloy (talk) 10:09, 15 September 2013 (EDT)

Breaking Bad

Hey, so I am happy that you are working on Breaking Bad, but for the AA-12 entry on Season 5, there is a really good close-up of the muzzle and side of the gun (the latter shows the words "AA-12" on the side of the stock). I can upload screencaps, but they won't be of good quality, so do you want to do it? Remember, the goal of the screencaps is to get as many good views of the gun as possible. -MT2008 (talk) 10:48, 1 October 2013 (EDT)

It looks like you figured out what I was talking about already, so that's fine. Also, have any better shots of the Browning HP that Uncle Jack uses? -MT2008 (talk) 14:14, 2 October 2013 (EDT)
Not that I recall. He handed it over in the middle of Season 3 (in S3E07) after being suspended for beating up Jesse Pinkman. He may have drawn it during the raid on the RV in S3E06, but I don't recall. Then, of course, he got shot by the Salamanca cousins in S3E07 and paralyzed for the rest of Season 3 and 4, which meant he was physically unable to go on raids that would require carrying a weapon. As far as I know, he didn't get the Glock back until he recovered from his wounds and went back to the DEA as an ASAC in Season 5.
Also, speaking of the cousins, there are a lot of good shots of those nickel-plated 1911s that they carry through S3E07. You'll want to look for screencaps during the shootout at the end of the episode, especially when one of them has the bore of his 1911 on Hank, but then decides that shooting him would be "muy facil!" I also recall that the arms dealer who sold the cousins their bulletproof vests had crates full of automatic weapons in his semi-trailer (including M4s, MAC-10s, TEC-9s, etc.). -MT2008 (talk) 13:10, 3 October 2013 (EDT)

RE: Agents of SHIELD screenshots

I've got it in 1080 now so will hopefully be able to do new full HD caps for S01E01 tonight under proper file names. --commando552 (talk) 17:31, 3 October 2013 (EDT)

Firefly

I actually have the series on Blu Ray and I had been planning on getting BD caps for it. I did the first episode of few months ago, but it's a pain since I have no idea which episodes the existing caps came from. If you told me where which episodes they came from, I might be able to crank this out in about a week. --Funkychinaman (talk) 00:12, 17 October 2013 (EDT)

Well, they don't get more HD than Blu Ray. Not only did I finally want to watch the series, but it's a bit embarrassing that all the existing caps are in the wrong aspect ratio. --Funkychinaman (talk) 00:23, 17 October 2013 (EDT)
You're not going to believe this, but I have the Iron Man 3 BD as well. I was going to cap the Agent Carter short as well, but I wasn't sure which page to stick it on, the Captain America page or the IM3 page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:27, 17 October 2013 (EDT)

Iron Man 3

How many Marvel shorts are there? I'd prefer not to create a page for shorts, it might open a door for others. --Funkychinaman (talk) 14:37, 17 October 2013 (EDT)

My local library has all three on BD, so I could do those later. --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:16, 17 October 2013 (EDT)

Re: Walking Dead

No problem. I always name my film ad tv series screengrabs "NameWeapon-Number" or something similar, as there should be no confusion about them after you've added them on the page. But I'll keep that in mind for the future episodes of TWD. --Warejaws (talk) 19:14, 18 October 2013 (EDT)

Changing file names

I noticed that you uploaded a new version of the Remington 1911 images to get rid of the typo in the name. Do you know that you can just move files like other pages to change the name? This has the advantage that nothing needs to be deleted, and it creates a redirect on the old image name meaning that pages do not have to be altered. --commando552 (talk) 17:59, 24 October 2013 (EDT)

The Incredibles

I don't know if I'd call it a no-effort, it was properly formatted with caps. If you take issue with its eligibility, just delete it. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:11, 24 October 2013 (EDT)

Do you want to review all the animation pages? Some are ... iffy. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:23, 24 October 2013 (EDT)
I helped cap Iron Giant, but I understand. Some of the IDs were shaky. I think Atlantis and TMNT should be scrutinized. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:36, 24 October 2013 (EDT)

Saving Private Ryan images

These new images you're adding look very grainy compared to the old ones, almost like they're blown-up and sharpened low-resolution images. I know that's not what you're doing, but they look very odd. Evil Tim (talk) 15:26, 6 November 2013 (EST)

Back to Criminal Minds

Good job on the ongoing Season 9, BTW. Anyway, as for Season 1 - I don't have a lot of episodes of that season available but as far as I'm aware, the G17 that Shemar Moore uses in Season 1 never had the familiar weaponlight attachment we see later in the show. I've been doing a little format check-up on some actor pages lately and his has the weaponlight G17 listed as being used in S1. When you get a bit of free time, can you go over the season and confirm this for me? Also there's a revolver shown at the end of S3E04 "Children of the Dark" (The one held by the kid at the end, I can't get a decent enough grab of it to ID, and I have to say it looks kinda funny, I was thinking a Ruger, but nope, bah) - Anyway if you could get that as well, that'd be awesome. Otherwise I think those pages are pretty much tip-top. Whenever you can get around to all of it, no rush. StanTheMan (talk) 16:48, 8 November 2013 (EST)

Reply on both comments

Ah ok. It's cool, Thanks anyway. As for the Robert Downey page, was just going by the others, and it seems its more-or-less de facto standard to do 'em chronologically, so there ya go. What's more, I've been finding several pages with listings that for whatever reason were done reverse-chronologically (admittedly they were weapons pages for the most part, but I think an actor page or two was involved also) that I've changed lately, though I think there are still a few more out there. Still, hey, if you had a good reason to do it that way, fine by me. But I'm gonna put back the correct year on that Tropic Thunder screencap if that's alright. StanTheMan (talk) 18:29, 12 November 2013 (EST)

RE: White House Down

I know. I wasn't done with all the changes to the page yet. --Markit (talk) 18:59, 13 November 2013 (EST)

Drive space

With the new upgrades drive space is no longer at a premium, we should be good. --bunni (talk) 15:38, 22 November 2013 (EST)

DVD Cover

O. K . - Only when is very low quality.--Pandolfini (talk) 18:14, 22 November 2013 (EST)

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

I just wanted to say thanks for your help with my formatting on the CA:TWS entry. It was my first edit and I'm glad it survived an edit from someone else. --Extimorous (talk) 20:01, 22 November 2013 (EST)

RED 2

I'll shorten my filenames. I apologize, I thought the specificity would help categorization. I'm attempting to complete the RED 2 page, as I just finished capping the Bluray, and all my shots are 1280x534 px and the first one I attempted to upload said request entity was too large. What size do they need to be and still be HD?--Сергей Титов, Sergei Titov (talk) 22:32, 29 November 2013 (EST)

Re: Walking Dead Screenshots

Many thanks to you, kind sir. I know you like to leave out the first zero, but sometimes when I type it just comes automatically before the episode number. Sorry for that. Oh, I've been meaning to ask you about screencap sharpening. I've seen at least you and funky sharpen you screencaps, which by the way look pretty good on a finished page. I have only just experimented for a few times in FastStone (most recently the walking dead), and I use the sharpening tool (ctrl + u) with USM Sharpen, amount set in 50 and radius set in 0.4. Do you prefer to use faststone or another program entirely? --Warejaws (talk) 09:53, 3 December 2013 (EST)

Sharpening

Which settings do you use in VLC? Just the sharpen? Do you use the same settings for each film/TV show or do you change it for each? --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:18, 3 December 2013 (EST)

Re:Smallville

1 day ago finished watching the first season, and will try to see the second, if I need help in itself tell you what. And yes, i have more images. Sorry for my bad english and thank you very much. - Lux (Talk) 21:05, 3 December 2013

Hi, I have problems with season 2 and 3 of Smallville,i don't have the screencaps. It will start with the season 4. Sorry for the problems. - Lux (Talk) 19:24, 4 December 2013

M134 on tripod

Doesn't matter if it's on tripod or any other configuration, like you said, "It's more preferable to have an actual photograph of a weapon on the page that is just missing (in this case: having) the accessory rather than to post a facsimile version. It can be mentioned in the caption what was used in the movie or series." TitaniumAlloy (talk) 07:42, 10 December 2013 (EST)

I already deleted that image once for being unnecessary, and the Mk23 image he uploaded at the same time. He re-uploaded them without bothering to consult me, and since he used the same filenames he even got a warning saying they'd been deleted once. So, another ban. Evil Tim (talk) 08:02, 10 December 2013 (EST)

Message

Already got it. Thanks. Ominae (talk) 03:15, 11 December 2013 (EST)

RoboCop 3

Hey, glad you're fixing it up. The movie may be piss-poor but the page on doesn't need to be of course, so thanks for that. It was pretty good years ago, but several screenshots got deleted or something and ever since the page had been a bit off. I was able to find a couple of the old screencaps from before and restore them (as placeholders if nothing else), hope that helped. Anyway, again, looking a lot better. That said, I wouldn't mind helping with a bit of writing and formatting if you're cool with it - there are some inconsistencies with the thumbnail sizes and stuff. But I know you're still in the process of going through it so wanted to check before I just jumped in on ya. I might be able to also pinpoint places in the film you can get screencaps of some things, again, if you want.

PS - Also fixed the format of the last couple messages on your talk page here, they've been made with the one equal rather than two so it looked a bit screwy. Hope thats ok. StanTheMan (talk) 13:23, 12 December 2013 (EST)

Yeah, I keep forgetting about that sometimes-off-looking resolution business. Thats cool. As for the old screenshots, I'm pretty sure I had already restored all the old ones I could find - I found them through the pages history on the prior version(s), some were still around but others had been deleted off. I might make another look and see if there's any I missed, but I think I got 'em all already so anything else will have to be all new screengrabs. StanTheMan (talk) 14:26, 12 December 2013 (EST)

Re: Hamilton

I think you're right. Now that I think of it, a category for Hamilton actors isn't really necessary. I'll fiddle with the Hamilton template when I get home but right now I gotta go to work. Thanks for the idea, didn't thought of that myself. --Warejaws (talk) 23:53, 15 December 2013 (EST)

Heroes

Hey Ben, I've decided to do some screencapping for Heroes, I'm Currently doing some work on Season 2, and I could use a little help. I have couple Unknowns that are a little hard to make out, and help identifying them will be much appreciated, I will be putting them on the Season 2's discussion page in a few minutes, also if you have higher quality screencaps then I do, feel free to overwrite mine, I am still trying to get the hang of the VLC Media Player. I also I want to let you know I will be working on Seasons 3 and 4 in the future. Thanks in advance for any help you can give. --Alienqueen11 (talk) 23:00, 16 December 2013 (EST)

Thanks for the advice, Ben. I use a program called IrfanView to convert my screenshots to jpeg, it always worked for since I did pages for this site years back, I will look into Fast Stone though. As for the filenames, you mean like how you do screencaps for The Walking Dead? I see what you mean there, I will take a look at your page when I get the chance. Thanks for the advice and the identification on the talk page. Also, good work on the pages you do, and I will work on the filenames.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 03:40, 17 December 2013 (EST)
I'll be sure do that. Thanks for the advice and have yourself a good night, I'll work more on the page tomorrow.--Alienqueen11 (talk) 03:59, 17 December 2013 (EST)

Watermarks

Noted. Thanks. --Max Deployment (talk) 14:55, 19 December 2013 (EST)

Röhm RG-24 or RG-20?

Do you sure that it's Röhm RG-24 in La Femme Nikita (1990)? Cause page still also lists Röhm RG-20 (should I move this to discussion page till it really appears somewhere?..) and I was discussing it with Greg-Z and we both decided that it also can be an One of the most similar revolver line I remember, they're very confusing... --Kloga (talk) 16:51, 19 December 2013 (EST)

Prop weapons an another question.

Thanks for informing on prop weapons rule. Also wanted to ask about one thing - Goldfinger has featurette included as a sub-section. Is it possible to create such things fro other featurettes, spin-offs which have no more then a one gun (or otherwise impossible to add) etc.? I'm especially interested becuase there's a failed unaired Darkman TV pilot which I want to cover and a NES Mad Max game which I really want to add again properly If no, then okay. Perhaps, such things still can be posted on my own discussion page? --Kloga (talk) 16:32, 20 December 2013 (EST)

Thanks for explaining, again, but I was talking more about new sections or sub-sections about these spin-offs, in case of franchise spawning or other important connections. Seems to be a nice solution to my problem of being sad if franchise incompletion occurs when there are guns, but other rules restrict adding the installment... Thanks, again. --Kloga (talk) 17:51, 20 December 2013 (EST)

Christmas Movies

Thanks for adding Christmas films near the Christmas holidays season, it cheers up which is always a nice thing, especially when it's a deficit of Christmas mood. I should also add a few New Year/Christmas period movies, mainly Soviet and Russian... --Kloga (talk) 18:46, 20 December 2013 (EST)

PyramidSilent's Problems

I know that despite being on this website for a longer time I probably have even more problems, but still, what can I do to improve what he did already. I mean, mostly which of his articles should be re-screencapped. I can do this for Trackman (Putevoy Obhodchik) as I have a good licensed DVD in my collection. He also forgot (or maybe thought that it's restricted) to include a custom flamethrower, which Trackman himself uses. --Kloga (talk) 15:33, 22 December 2013 (EST)

Aja

I will add 2012's Maniac (which he produced) VERY soon. Planning to do it tomorrow, or the next day after it. --Kloga (talk) 17:41, 22 December 2013 (EST)
