Series Templates
The short answer is that yes, you need to create a new one. The longer answer is that (in theory) you could use parsing functions to making templates that are all based off of one template so that the new templates would all look the same, but this restricts the format and would take hours and hours of coding. Each template is different (compare the 1911 Template to the Tom Clancy template). Now what we could and I think should do, is change the sub-categories to something like "Media Seires" and "Gun Series" (separating 1911 from Tom Clancy). At the end of the day tho, eventually there are going to be a lot of templates but if you concern is that there will be a lot to sift through, there is always an easier way to add the template. When you create a new template, you know what its called and you add it to the pages as you create it. If you are creating a new page and need to add it to the template, and the template to the page, just go to another page in the series. In other words, if you are adding "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4" (no such thing... yet...), just go to the Modern Warfare 2 page and copy and paste the code from the bottom.
I've been spending a lot of time working on these templates and haven't really gotten any feedback from admins. It's also frustrating because there are a lot of things that I would like to do but can't since I'm not an admin. For example, I keep having to ask one of you guys to add a new template to the locked page... I'm not as much of a gun enthusiast as most of the people here, but I am a computer engineer with a lot of coding experience so I'm just trying to do my best to help out. I will kick around the idea of a generic template and try some different things but no promises... It will literally require hours of coding.
In the mean time, I would love to hear some feedback on the templates that I have already added. Are there other templates that you think could be useful? Throw ideas at me and I'll let you know what I think is doable. --Zackmann08 23:40, 17 June 2012 (CDT)
- Also, I BEG you... please read my request about redirects In the forum... I cannot tell you how frustrating this is... --Zackmann08 23:44, 17 June 2012 (CDT)
- Any thoughts? --Zackmann08 22:31, 18 June 2012 (CDT)
I did a little tidying up of the templates. Added some more subcategories. This should help to keep things from getting TOO cluttered. I'd really like to hear your thoughts. --Zackmann08 10:56, 21 June 2012 (CDT)
- You are correct, and that is the beauty of using templates. Make the change in ONE place, it automatically changes everywhere else. :-) I SWEAR when I made the Pink Panther template, Pink Panther 3 was listed on IMDB and its not now... Maybe I saw it on Wikipedia?? Either way, I will fix it and I think you are right. Let's wait until a trailer has been released before adding it to the templates. :-) --Zackmann08 19:50, 21 June 2012 (CDT)
"The Killing" screenshots
You suggested to upload whole frame screenshots instead of capturing only weapons- well, due to heavy spoilers I may try to do it, but will have to warn other users who do not enjoy spoilers, is it better?
If I'll somehow get the HD quality images I'll change current ones to such, although I think the handgun is seen clear enough to identify it :)
- I have tried to replace the old screenshots on Mississippi Burning with newer, better shots, but I can't seem to get the new ones to load using the old jpeg name. Help! User Name:Elzzupa 13:58 14 November 2013

Template:Wrong Turn Series
Can you do me a favor and rollback Van Tu's edits to Template:Wrong Turn Series? --Zackmann08 09:32, 22 June 2012 (CDT)
- So the guy removed the freaking template from his "pages" and screwed up the format... GRRRRR. --Zackmann08 09:38, 22 June 2012 (CDT)
- I went ahead and restored the original version, but take a look at what he did... --Zackmann08 12:38, 22 June 2012 (CDT)
I agree. I'm less concerned with the template and more concerned with the fact that he removed it but yea... --Zackmann08 22:29, 22 June 2012 (CDT)
Van tu
So our good buddy Van Tu has created himself a second account and recreated the My Way (2011) page that you deleted. I know I'm not an admin and I don't want to over step but i think this guy needs to get the boot. He's violating rule after rule and has yet to respond to anyone's requests. --Zackmann08 11:28, 23 June 2012 (CDT)
- I think he's created account number 3 now. I have a feeling "Leavemealone" is the same guy. --Funkychinaman 14:18, 24 June 2012 (CDT)
- Yes, it's he. The same modus operandi. :) And this is number four: 18:52, 24 June 2012 Leavemealone (Talk | contribs) created new account User:Come with me (Talk | contribs). Greg-Z 14:40, 24 June 2012 (CDT)

- Also, sorry for deleting 24: The Game. It truly seemed like it was not up to par. Looks like it's getting some work done on it tho. :-) Seems like sometimes when a page gets deleted people go "oh wait, I want to do that!" --Zackmann08 09:54, 27 June 2012 (CDT)
Advice
So since I am new to being an admin, I wanted to get your opinion on something. I recently deleted the page for Next of Kin because it was woefully lacking. Hours later, the one guy who had contributed to it in the first place, recreated the page with the exact same info... How do you guys normally handle this? If the user had a lot of contributions I would feel very different, but he doesn't... This is his only page. Thoughts? --Zackmann08 13:18, 27 June 2012 (CDT)

A Rumor of War
Hey man. Whats the story with your A Rumor of War page?? --Zackmann08 09:07, 3 July 2012 (CDT)
- For the record, that's exactly what I did... Had the page be some guy with nothing on his user page and a half dozen random contributions, I would have deleted it. Since its yours, I aint touching it. I know I nuked it 2 months ago but that was before I was an admin. As an admin I WILL NOT delete another admin's page without getting their okay first. Mainly I just wanted to make sure you hadn't forgotten about it. I now know you haven't so I will leave it be. :-) --Zackmann08 20:38, 3 July 2012 (CDT)
Upcoming tag
Doesn't the "Upcoming" tag refer to any movie that out in theaters and not available on home video? According to the rules, we can't post screencaps of anything other than what's in trailers or teasers until the US video release date, so it explains to users why the caps aren't there. --Funkychinaman 01:10, 15 July 2012 (CDT)
- As I said above, I thought it remained in affect until home video release. Theoretically, every page is considered incomplete until it get screencaps from the official home video release, so the upcoming tag provides an excuse as to why those caps aren't there. And since we can't use caps from illegal sources like screeners and bootlegs, for the purposes of completing a page, the home video release date is pretty much the only one that counts. The tag also is a disclaimer, covering our asses and reminding everyone that "Any screenshots used are from official Trailers and sources" and not bootlegs. (BTW, we should probably make the T in Trailer lowercase.) I would think for a featured page like The Avengers, this is especially important. --Funkychinaman 01:29, 15 July 2012 (CDT)
- True, but we can always change the name. --Funkychinaman 01:38, 15 July 2012 (CDT)

Thanks, I'll use these new templates. Сoncerning actors pages: I still think that it's better to put the year of birth (maybe not birthday date) at the page. We can see how old was the actor when he/she appeared in some movie. Greg-Z 02:37, 25 July 2012 (CDT)
Templates
Honestly I wasnt planning on it but they are SUPER helpful. One thing that would be great is if you could add them to the "Category:Category Templates". I tried to organize all the Templates into different categories so that they are easier to navigate. I think it was you who suggested this actually... Thank U! Now I'm more familiarized with firearm characteristics. U see the 1st time I watched an SMG/MG fire, I wasn't familiar with the characteristics. But thanks to U, I learned more about guns. Now that I discovered how to make gun scene pics with the print screen option, I decided to join IMFDB to add more pics of guns used in movies. I learned this technique from someone on Atomic Betty Wiki 1 month ago, and since I'm a recent contributor on that wiki, I decided to make edits on this wiki as well.
Thanks for the reminder. And your right about the Image I placed on Terminator 3. But Can U help me identify a very strange gun? It is on the Batman 1989 page under M1928 Thompson. There is a picture with the caption "What appears to be a double barrel Thompson SMG on the bottom right". The pic caption on the image below it also says the gun has some sort of shield on it. If U can Identify this gun for me, alert me ASAP. I would really appreciate it. Or maybe those/that thing looks to small for a shield. Maybe it looks like a double set of stick magazines.--Gunnerboy 21:34, September 30 2012
Question
Why were reality TV shows banned? While I understand that some shows do not warrant a page there are some reality shows out there that have many weapons in it.Mr.Ice 23:44, 28 July 2012 (CDT)
Law & Order
Yes, I had noticed that it was getting a little large. I'm just a bit worried that if we do it by season, the season pages will be a bit light. On the other hand, it'll at least allow us to get it out of the incomplete queue. (Netflix has eight seasons on Instant, and even if we did it by disk, Netflix only as seasons 1-10, 14.) I'll try out a split of season 1. --Funkychinaman 20:19, 6 August 2012 (CDT)

So spam has dramatically decreased lately as a result of the new system put in place by Bunni but we still have the occasional jerk who gets through. For future reference, if anyone does start doing stuff like our pal Weston1911 did, will you message me? I saw your note in the forum. We are having a few issues with the server at the moment, but we are aware of the issue. I will get back to you when I have an answer. I know how to capture gun scenes the easy way: press print screen/sys req next to scroll lock to capture the scene U want, open MS paint and press ctrl V and thats where I work my magic. Yesterday, I made a few new pictures for Batman 1989 which is the Tommy Gun and what I remember is this close up of a Thompson M1928 was clear and bright as crystal with what looks like sparks coming out of the compensator (at least thats what I THINK it is, cuz I'm not familiar with the characteristics of firearms). Now today, I discovered it looks more blury then yeaterday. It seems like I'm losing my vision and need glasses, but I'm not. Whats the big idea screwing around with that picture I uploaded yesterday?! And I even found the text in my Thompsonsparks.jpg file changed as well! (The text on the bottom of the picture box).
I think thats pretty much all the pictures I can add to Batman and Batman Returns. And no, I don't have a VLC player unfortunately. But I have been adding pics to different movies. But I MIGHT have more pictures on the way..... Just give me time.

This is a simple literal translation of Czech wording through Google translator:)--Pandolfini (talk) 18:11, 20 September 2012 (EDT)
So I translated the sentence again entered into the compiler and this fell out of it : "Yes, please try putting my sentences to the translator to give better translation." :)--Pandolfini (talk) 18:21, 20 September 2012 (EDT)
Only I add that in Czech it does not make much sense. Otherwise, there is nothing strange in this country we say when the killer murders, so "works". It operates with a gun. This is the same as in the English word "uses".--Pandolfini (talk) 18:25, 20 September 2012 (EDT)
It does not make sense. The point is that there is the word "targeting" - Czech rather expressed by "AIMS", but in English appears to be "point". In short, there has to be that Teri Polo pointing a gun at Tia Carrere and Tia is bodyguard of Mr. Brewer. :)--Pandolfini (talk) 05:49, 21 September 2012 (EDT)
I know, I'm aware of the problem. Sometimes need to write a CV of actor and I insert the whole text from the translator, but then it translates of the Googl Chrome and it sounds completely different and I have to redo again this translating :)--Pandolfini (talk) 01:27, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
BTW - Thanx you for helph!--Pandolfini (talk) 01:31, 22 September 2012 (EDT)
You've edited Cold Steel? You found the word, which i´m need - "handles". It captures the Czech term "works" (works with). Yeah. the copy past thing was just a place holder. If there is any actual sources of identification of the firearms in the anime I'd appreciate any screenshots for the article and some improvements as well. (I'm trying to watch the whole show on Youtube and I also have one image of Ulube's M1911 from ep 46). (sigh) Fine. :( U twisted my arm. Wait, how about I send U the images on what guns from what movie(s) to post so that way, U can make the same pics with better quality? :/ The reason: my parents won't let me download anything (due to the fact they made up a password for the family CPU that I don't know, and downloading things will require that password.) So, that means I cant get that VLC player to make HQ pics. :(--Gunnerboy (talk) 00:15, 18 October 2012 (EDT)Gunnerboy Oct 17 2012 21:15

Howard the Duck
Ben41, I checked all the movies that contain firearms and theres just one movie left out of IMFDB, Howard the Duck. It has either Remington 870s or Winchesters (I don't know exacly what kind they are because of the large cocking/pumping handle). But maybe you can start this article and identify the shotguns or rifles used.--Gunnerboy (talk) 21:56, 7 November 2012 (EST)
Actor Biography.
It's abbreviated, but only 2 sentences might not make any sense, it is probably not meant seriously, right? This could only write when and where he was born and became an actor and that's nonsense. There should be indicated in what played important cast and what prices received and also his brief family situation (married, children). Otherwise it is about nothing.--Pandolfini (talk) 11:39, 25 November 2012 (EST)I realize it. Re: Actor bios
I don't use online translators. All mistakes in my edits are my own, not of some dumb computer. :) But to be serious, I try to write actors bio entries according to the guidelines. I think that the birthdate of an actor is valuable because it allows to see how old an actor was in some movie. And for many non-famous actors this is the only fact that can be found. I think that in future I'll omit the bio entry if nothing relevant to the site can be found. Thanks for help! Greg-Z (talk) 02:13, 18 February 2013 (EST)

The Heineken Kidnapping
Hi Ben41, thanks for your comments on The Heineken Kidnapping, two questions though.
(1) You revised SWAT team for KCT but this is incorrect. The special forces in the movie are so-called ‘arrestatie teams’ (‘arrest teams’) that are part of the Dutch police forces and see action when the regular police forces need more muscle. They can be distinguished by their blue berets and not surprisingly, their website (scroll all the way down for ‘beret images’) is actually called ‘The Blue Beret’. The KCT, on the other hand, are part of the Army and can be distinguished by a green berets (see their KCT website). With the special forces in the movie operating along police forces and carrying blue berets, I take the liberty to change back to SWAT, which is the name they actually use on their website.
(2) I am wondering why you resized some gun images from 400px to 300/460px. Isn’t 400px the standard for gun images?
Let me know what you think, --PeeWee055 (talk) 14:58, 1 March 2013 (EST)
- Thanks for your comments on the size of gunimages, I never gave this much thought and simply always applied 400px. I played around a bit and indeed 300px (handguns) and 460px (rifles) is the best option, --PeeWee055 (talk) 08:11, 2 March 2013 (EST)

Invasion USA
No, no, no! But of course you can do it. I was actually celebrating that you did it, so that I did not have to suffer through the movie again to do it. So please, by all means, do it! :D LOL MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 02:12, 13 April 2013 (EDT)
The Usual Suspects - mini 14 Screenshots
Can you get more screenshots of the Ruger Mini 14s for "The Usual Suspects"? I no longer have the movie (someone borrowed my DVD and never returned it) and I was always curious as to the multiple configurations of Mini 14 in the film. Thanks if you can do this. :) best regards MoviePropMaster2008 (talk) 21:55, 14 April 2013 (EDT)

Walking Dead - Season 3
- I don't see how listing that Andrea uses the Colt Python is a spoiler on the Season 3 page of The Walking Dead. I'm not saying what she does with the Python, but nevertheless she does use it in the Season 3 finale. I went ahead and listed the Colt on Laurie Holden's page as well as on the Python page. FWIW I think it's a safe bet to say that within a very short while everybody interested in The Walking Dead will know what Andrea does with Rick's Python. Hmmm that sounds a little obscene doesn't it. LOL --Jcordell (talk) 16:39, 18 April 2013 (EDT)
RE Criminal Minds
- Thanks man, good to be back. Seems like quite a bit has changed but not a whole lot. Glad to get back into it. I appreciate your help on Howard the Duck. I was planning to do the page before I left, but a lot has happened since then - Bah, that's something else. Anyway, I'll help and add where I can as I can, most of it I did get set up though by streamlining the pages to only the relevant entries for the particular season, but it's a lot to go over. At least it's one of my favorite shows though. I made a backup of the single page stuff on the original/Season list talk page so all of that can be retrieved if need be. I'll continue modding it as I go. Thanks for getting the groundwork for the individual seasons going. If you could let me know what seasons/episodes you have available, that would help, I can focus on the other seasons (as well as spots where you can get screengrabs for the ones you do have). I know you're working on a lot of other stuff so no rush, just let me know when you can, thanks again. StanTheMan (talk) 20:48, 19 April 2013 (EDT)
- Ok cool. Good to see some pics on Season 8, as that page was pretty bare. Later on, I'll try to pinpoint some extra spots on 1 and 4 since you're going for those too. Seasons 2 and 4 are thus far my favorite seasons, though I'd give the slight edge to 2 (I'm a big fan of Gideon). Anyway, I'll start checking the other seasons and get what I can. I can certainly beef up text descriptions/sections in some spots. Thanks for the reply. StanTheMan (talk) 13:22, 20 April 2013 (EDT)
- Sounds good about the screenshots. I'll be watching some episodes here and there - I won't be able to get screengrabs right away but I'll help spot ones that you might be able to get and so on. I think Season 4's just about done actually - just need a shot of JJ's Glock 26 (a good close-up is there at the end of "To hell and back", right at the same time Hightower blows away the quadriplegic-guy with the 870) and that's about it (getting rid of the 1911 section, I don't believe there is one in Season 4). I like some of the new screencaps you've put up, they look good and are nicely detailed, but some of them seem to have a strange grainy-ness to them though. StanTheMan (talk) 17:06, 22 April 2013 (EDT)
- Ah, that makes sense. Not that they looked bad, just a bit odd. Cool though. This first set of Season 1 ones you posted up look good too. StanTheMan (talk) 21:33, 22 April 2013 (EDT)
- Season 4 looks good. Nice job, man. I'm working on Season 2 right now. I have to ask, is the S&W Model 65 pic you have a rework of the other pic on the Model 65's talk page? If so, it looks good, though I had gotten used to the other one - I thought the green background was a nice contrast. Either way though. Again, nice work. StanTheMan (talk) 21:06, 23 April 2013 (EDT)
- Well, I've already got a load of screens for Season 2 ready to upload, but I'll see what I can do on Season 7 once I get done. I think some of my screens came out a bit iffy so if you see 'em and want to overwrite any with nicer ones it's good by me too. I've already got 'em named with season and episode like yours and I should get 'em on the page in a few minutes. There's also a couple new sections I should add as well. Gettin' there. StanTheMan (talk) 21:55, 23 April 2013 (EDT)
RE:Director Category
Just FYI I think you posted that on the wrong talk page, I don't think I have ever made a director category let along one for a director with fewer than 3 works on IMFDB. --commando552 (talk) 08:04, 23 April 2013 (EDT)
Criminal Minds Part 2
Got my main Season 2 screencaps up. There's a couple more here and there to get, I'll tackle them a bit later. Could you do me a favor and delete this image (Wrong one I uploaded and had trouble with reverting) and this one (replaced it with another that has the Season/Episode in the filename). I might also start trimming down the original stuff back in the talk page, as a lot of it is already posted elsewhere. StanTheMan (talk) 22:42, 23 April 2013 (EDT)
- Cleaned up the old backup from the main talk page - I left the older screenshots that weren't on any of the other pages so you could go through 'em and either update or get rid of them without having to search around for them, you can find them here. There are other images too but they're still posted on the individual season pages so you can find them there. Hope this helps out. StanTheMan (talk) 01:32, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
- I did fool around with VLC a bit before, but I don't have it on this computer - partly because I ain't had time to put it on here, and partly because the system isn't mine, so I can't just take liberties. I'm admittedly not much of a screencapper in the first place - Usually I just add to existing pages, though of course I've made a few exceptions to that rule. Anyway, I've taken another look and most of them seem ok, I think the couple of iffy ones were more motion-blur because I didn't get a good freeze (that is, I was in a rush). I'll see if I can clean them up later. I do like the ones you added, they look sharp. StanTheMan (talk) 13:50, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
Screencap page
Heh, I didn't know what button existed until now. I'll try it out today and add it to the page. And if there's anything I'm forgetting, please let me know. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:39, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
- I'll play around with it. I still have to add a part about saving and file names. As for file format, I have VLC take PNGs, because I THINK it's better, but I'm not totally sure. Have you noticed a difference yourself? I didn't want to say "PNG screencaps are more clear" without corroboration. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:57, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
- Okay, so it's not just me. I'll add that tidbit. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:45, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
- I updated the screencapping instructions. What do you think? I was thinking about adding something about lighting, but I don't want to encourage users to get carried away. --Funkychinaman (talk) 01:27, 10 May 2013 (EDT)
- Okay, so it's not just me. I'll add that tidbit. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:45, 24 April 2013 (EDT)
Mission: Impossible
I would like to split the page, BUT it's going to go slowly. I'm going to piece it together in my sandbox first and then create it when I'm finished or close to finished. I was thinking I'd leave the existing page for now, and then I'll crop out the season 1 caps when I create the page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 23:24, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
- BTW, I'd like to change the name of the existing page to Mission: Impossible (1966). A remake/continuation lasted two seasons in the eighties. --Funkychinaman (talk) 23:30, 25 April 2013 (EDT)
- I suppose we could roll it out like the L&O page, just move everything to a staging area and create each season as we come along. I'd prefer to avoid creating more incomplete pages, and it'd take the pressure off of me to power through it. I'm also committed to finishing Homicide and Monty Python's Flying Circus, both of which are frustrating to cap since they were both filmed in 16mm. (Which is also one of the reasons why I'm enjoying M:I so much. It's well written, acted, AND in HD.) --Funkychinaman (talk) 23:46, 25 April 2013 (EDT)

Categories
Permit me to suggest that Movie Categories be separated from Movie Directors, that is to say, put movie directors into a separate directory. That should clean up your Movie Categories nicely. --Elzzupa (talk) 16:09, 7 May 2013 (PDT)
Director Page
Oh no, I'm not saying that I want to do it, especially after my most recent admonition. I am suggesting that administrators do it if they wish to reduce the clutter on the Category:Movie page. Listing directors in a separate Directors category has a certain intuitive sense to it, seems to me. --Elzzupa (talk) 17:41, 7 May 2013 (EDT)
- I only suggested this if uncluttering the Category:Movie page is a concern, a bit of reorganization might be in order. For example, one might simplify the main Category:Movie page into subcategories like Genre, Director, Place Produced, Themed Series, etc., and then have sub-sub-categories for each of those. So, under Genre, the sub-sub categories would include Action, Adventure, Animation, Blaxploitation, etc. The Category:Movie page looks like it grew organically without much prior thought given to the branching structure.
- If the Directors are already listed there, it seems redundant to list them again on the Category:Movie page. Why not just link from Category:Movie to the Category:Director page? I only mention this because of your rightful concern about the Category;Movie page getting too cluttered. --Elzzupa (talk) 15:41, 7 May 2013 (PDT)
HD Images
Really? One can't get more information out of a compressed JPG file than the format can hold in the first place. JPGs contain less information than DVDs, which contain less information than Blu-rays. Whether you compress from a DVD or a Blu-ray, you still end up with a JPG image, which is inferior to both video formats. It's physics. --Elzzupa (talk) 15:49, 7 May 2013 (PST)
- If you say so.
- My image from a DVD, is 1,353 × 566 pixels, file size 175 KB, or .175 Mbits:
- Your image from a Blu-ray, is 1,920 × 797 pixels, file size: 120 KB, or .120 Mbits:
- Please explain to me how a file with 120 KBs has more information, or "data" if you prefer, than a file with 175 KBs?
--Elzzupa (talk) 8:22, 8 May 2013 (PDT)
Screenshot Comparison
It's not fair to compare two images from two completely different films and completely different film transfers to make an argument about the amount of data in an image. So, here's a comparison of two images from the same film from two different sources:
Here's the shot of Body Heat from your (I suppose DVD) source at (the dimensions are 600x337) shown at 900px:
Here's the shot of Body Heat from my Blu-ray (the dimensions are 1920x1080) shown at 900px :
Now I understand that both of these images were brightened afterwards, but there's still a little bit of difference in size and the detail of the image (even more when the image is double-clicked). --Ben41 (talk) 14:22, 8 May 2013 (EDT)
- When I posted that image, I was under the impression that we were supposed to size down the file.
- Here is the same image that is brightness/contrast corrected, but not color corrected:
- Here is my original screenshot, without color or contrast correction.
- Here is the same image, color and contrast corrected:

Upgrading Sweep
FYI, I am going to upgrade some of The Thing, Predator, The Incredible Hulk, and Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Also, I am not going to replace the images you already added since you images are already high quality with the exception of those taken from a DVD. Just informing you ahead of time. If you have anything you wish to inform me about, you can let me know if you want. - Kenny99 (talk) 17:14, 2 June 2013 (EDT)
- I have finished The Incredible Hulk. While I was working on the page, I noticed that many of your DVD screenshots are noticeably brighter and more detailed than your Blu-Ray pictures (which are apparently enhanced with sharpness only with VLC). If you notice in the screenshots below, my screenshots are completely dark with only sharpness enhancing the image and many of the minor details in your screenshot are lost within mine, such as the fire selector on the MP5A3. I tried using brightness enhancements, but the brightness didn't make any significant differences other than distorting the image. What type of settings did you use for your screenshot? - Kenny99 (talk) 19:05, 2 June 2013 (EDT)
Thanks, Ben. I understand now. - Kenny99 (talk) 19:16, 2 June 2013 (EDT)
- I finished screencaping Predator, although I left a few screenshots untouched since I had trouble finding them in the movie. - Kenny99 (talk) 23:17, 2 June 2013 (EDT)
Terminator 2: Judgement Day is finally done. To be honest, the process was much quicker since you already replaced several screenshots yourself. FYI, I moved several screenshots from the page to the Discussion page because of the "10 screenshots per gun entry" rule. I might have left out quite a lot of detail that was originally on the page, despite several revisions I made to the captions. Nevertheless, the page should be in decent condition though. - Kenny99 (talk) 19:40, 5 June 2013 (EDT)
Trivia
And oh, I got it in a lot of movies. And not only me ... But it does not make sense, 'cause in the "Trivia" are also bows and arrows, posters and other nezbraňové things, so why the dynamite not?--Pandolfini (talk) 01:21, 12 June 2013 (EDT) Oh, I see and understand. But this screen keep, fits there. I also do so and fix all the movies that I can find.--Pandolfini (talk) 01:28, 12 June 2013 (EDT) A bomb with the fuse as the "Viva Maria!" ? It is a grenade or it is not legal weapon?--Pandolfini (talk) 01:30, 12 June 2013 (EDT) How it there give? And what crossbow, to be in Movie director Mad Max, also with a dynamite sticks? It should be uniform, not this mismatched. That's why it bothers me the Mummy now repair, when others is with dynamite, crossbows etc. [[2]] --Pandolfini (talk) 01:43, 12 June 2013 (EDT) Insurgents also use in the ghetto dynamite sticks and Molotov cocktail as a substitute for hand grenades. It has also been weapons? How to do here - [[3]] ?--Pandolfini (talk) 01:46, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
Next - [[4]] Improvise gun - [[5]] and here - [[6]]
Japanese troops in the early 20th doutnákový century used dynamite as his unique hand grenades! here - [[7]]
And what is the Pipe bomb? - [[8]] or here - [[9]]
And "Time bomb" is a gun? - [[10]]
It may thus be?: I removed the dynamite sticks as a separate item. - [[11]] and here - [[12]] --Pandolfini (talk) 02:07, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
What is "Cartoon-style bomb"? Its a gun? - [[13]]--Pandolfini (talk) 02:15, 12 June 2013 (EDT)I understand and others? Molotov cocktail?--Pandolfini (talk) 02:34, 12 June 2013 (EDT) I created a category for them "improvised weapons", which are not as a separate item. In some movies like Uprising is playing a major role as well as the Rambo knife ...--Pandolfini (talk) 02:41, 12 June 2013 (EDT) As I said, sometimes they are essential weapons as "Rambo knife" or Mad Max's crossbow.--Pandolfini (talk) 02:52, 12 June 2013 (EDT) Cathegory "Others" i also used. It could do so with The Mummy! Without custom items. In the "discussion" it does not make sense.--Pandolfini (talk) 02:59, 12 June 2013 (EDT) I know that. That's why I did not included in the film The Great Road - [[14]] a bomb, the pilot throw from the plane.--Pandolfini (talk) 03:04, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
Removing entries about dynamite etc.
Does really entries about dynamite used as grenade, Molotov cocktail and other similar makeshift weapons no more put into movie pages? Pandolfini removes them referring to your instructions. Greg-Z (talk) 04:20, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
Done! Last "Molotov cocktail" as the item is here - [[15]] - it does not edit!--Pandolfini (talk) 05:56, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
- It's my understanding that a non-firearm can be listed on a media page if it can be specifically identified, like the Barnett Crossbow, it just can't get its own weapons page, like artillery pieces. --Funkychinaman (talk) 09:00, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
- This is correct. Manufactured explosive charges with markings can also be included, and videogame pages can contain molotovs for the sake of completeness, it's just pointless having them on movie pages because nobody's ever going to wonder what kind of bottle they are. Evil Tim (talk) 11:24, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
If these weapons doesn't deserve to be on movie/actor page then they doesn't deserve including at all. So I removed all sections about non-firearms from the pages that I've created. Greg-Z (talk) 10:53, 12 June 2013 (EDT)
Raiders of the lost ark edit
I don't know why you changed my edit back that fact was way more accurate then food poisoning Harrison Ford did have diarrhea at the time so that was an accurate fact....also with all due respect this like maybe the 3rd or 4th time you reverted my edits and i don't appreciate that, most of my edits are accurate cause the movies I've edited i already seen like a million times so i believe i know what i'm doing! (Noahrussell007)
Actual photos
Ofcourse there are plenty of M4 pics, but not the exact one that supposed to be in the article. If the gun in the movie is modified/customized, isn't then more preferable to put a picture that has firearm with the same mods like in the film? TitaniumAlloy (talk) 03:48, 15 June 2013 (EDT)
Actors photo
I do not removed the clear, but always worse. And also summarizes where there is too much. Eg. 4 weapons in 2 movies is reasonable just 1 photo, it's right?--Pandolfini (talk) 01:12, 22 June 2013 (EDT) O.K. As regards Chris O'Donnell, and I found that there are two almost identical images of the same series, just another episode. If at one photo was a young one with a gun and the other older holds a rifle, so I understand. But the same two photos - both as young with a pistol, it seemed superfluous to me.--Pandolfini (talk) 02:09, 22 June 2013 (EDT) I not checked it, sorry.--Pandolfini (talk) 02:53, 23 June 2013 (EDT)
