SIG MG50 is a general purpose machine gun of Swiss origin. It was designed by SIG Industries but lost the Swiss army trials to W+F MG51. Danish Army adopted a version of MG50 in .30-06 caliber as M/51. MG50 was also tested in Sweden but without any success.
