Michael Gambon (1940-2023) was an Irish-English actor who perhaps was best known for his role as Professor Albus Dumbledore for 5 features in the Harry Potter film series, a role he took over from the late Richard Harris. He also appeared in such films as Open Range, Sleepy Hollow and The Book of Eli . He passed away in September of 2023 at the age of 82.
