Richard Harris

Richard Harris (1930-2002) was an Irish actor whose long acting career including roles in such films as Mutiny on the Bounty, The Wild Geese, and Unforgiven. He was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Actor, for his roles as Frank Machin in the 1963 film This Sporting Life and as Bull McCabe in the 1990 film The Field. In more recent times, he was known for his role as Albus Dumbledore for the first two films in Harry Potter feature film series. He also was the father of actor Jared Harris and the great-uncle of actress Annabelle Wallis.
