King Solomon's Mines Patrick Swayze stars in the film as Allan Quartermain (the last name was changed from the novel's Quatermain). The miniseries aired in two parts on the Hallmark Channel.

It's worth noting that in the original novel the trio of the adventurers carry, among other guns, "three Winchester repeating rifles (not carbines)". The best fitting model for 1880s South Africa would be Winchester 1873.

The Belgian FN Mauser Mle 1924 that was widely produced for export in 1920s-1930s seems to be a decent guess.

The elongated heads of the cleaning rods of Ivan's and Sergei's rifles are also more common for Finnish Mosin Nagants. The real Russian military rifle in 1880s was the Berdan No.2 .
