Jamie Lee Curtis is an American actress who first gained notice to movie audiences for her role as Laurie Strode in the original Halloween. She would go on to appear as Laurie in four more films in the Halloween feature film series, including the recent feature film trilogy continuation, beginning with the 2018 feature film, in addition to starring in such features as Trading Places, True Lies, Blue Steel (1989), and Virus. In 2023, she was the recipient of the Academy Award for Best Suppporting Actress for her role in the 2022 film Everything Everywhere All at Once. She also is the daughter of fellow actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh.
