The SIG-Sauer P228 pistol is used by most Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) agents in the film, notably by Special Agent Bob Blanchard (Dan Lauria).
Full-size SIG-Sauer P226 pistols are also used by some BATF agents. A Branch Davidian also is seen firing a P226 at BATF agents as they break into the weapons arsenal in the Mount Carmel compound.
BATF agents are largely armed with Heckler & Koch HK94A2s modified to resemble MP5A2s during the raid on the Branch Davidian compound. The weapons have had their 16-inch barrels chopped and are equipped with Surefire forends and double clamped magazines.
M16 (SP1) rifles with M16A1 birdcage flash hiders are seized by BATF agents after they arrest a New Orleans weapons dealer. Branch Davidian Jason (Neal McDonough) is also armed with a M16 (SP1) with a 30 round magazine during the BATF raid on Mount Carmel.
Koresh is shown modifying a M16A2 with a hellfire trigger to increase its rate of fire. Later, Jason patrols Mount Carmel's perimeter with a Starlight scope-equipped M16A2. Koresh also has a M16A2 slung over his shoulder when he watches the ATF units approach the compound. Other Branch Davidians also are shown with M16A2s during the gun battle with the ATF agents.
CAR-15 carbines are seen on the gun racks at a gun store and in the weapons room of Mount Carmel.

The flash hider is a smaller diameter copy of the XM-177 and has no sound suppression qualities and is permanently welded onto the barrel to make it legal length for over the counter gun store sales.Error creating thumbnail: File missingCAR-15 carbines lie on a wall as Jason talks to a gun shop owner about using his store as a front for purchasing more weapons.Error creating thumbnail: File missingCAR-15s in the Branch Davidian weapons room.
Norinco Type 56
A number of Branch Davidians use Norinco Type 56 rifles, both during shooting practice and during the raid.
Ruger Mini-14 rifles are used by many Branch Davidians during the ATF raid, and a gunman uses a Mini-14 to fatally wound Special Agents Conway LeBleu (Glenn Morshower) and Robert Williams (Lewis Smith).
An ATF sniper team operating from a house near the Branch Davidian compound use what appear to be Winchester Model 70 Black Shadow rifles to provide covering fire during the shootout between the agents and the Davidians.
A Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle is shown among the weapons in the Branch Davidian arsenal. Unlike the real incident where it was alleged that the M82 was used against federal agents, it is not fired in the movie.
A box of Mk 2 hand grenade hulls is accidentally dropped by a Branch Davidian during a routine delivery, rousing the suspicion of local authorities and eventually the ATF.
