Heckler & Koch HK770
The Heckler & Koch HK770 is a sporting rifle manufactured by Heckler & Koch which was imported into the US during the 1980s. It uses the same roller delayed blowback action of the Heckler & Koch G3 series of rifles, has a compensated polygonal barrel and is fed from either 3 round flush fitting magazines (restricted to two round for domestic sale in Germany to comply with hunting laws) or extended 10 round magazines. It was one in a series of several similar weapons which also included the 5.56x45mm HK630 and the .30-06 HK940. Production of this series of rifles largely ceased in 1986 due to increasing costs and lack of demand.
