Machine Guns

Bren Mk I

Blott finds two Bren Mk I machine guns in a wartime hidden cache in the wine cellar. He uses one of these guns to fire at his own gatehouse and blame the authorities in making at attack on "Englishman's home".

Unidentified weapon

When Blott destroyes the gatehouse in the final episode, he uses one more weapon exept for Bren and PIAT. It is seen in darkness and only partially. What is seen allows to make a very vague guess that it may be a kind of 2 inch mortar.

Trivia

Grappling hook launcher

SAS commandos use a grappling hook launcher in the attempt to reach the rooftop of Blott's gatehouse. The launcher isn't pneumatic as after the "shot" the scene is covered with smoke.
