Resistance

I think that one (IIRC the one that actually had a page was Resistance 2) was largely deleted for being terrible, I think resistance is doable since it's pretty well-known the carbine was redesigned by an M14 fan on the dev team because he hated the original (which looked like a rectangle with a barrel and scope) and there's real M14s in the logo. I'm a little concerned with how awful the screencaps he's uploading are, though. Evil Tim (talk) 20:27, 9 January 2015 (EST)

Yeah, here's the original carbine: http://resistance.wikia.com/wiki/File:Preproduction_Hybrid.jpg which also featured the old Hybrid head which was redone because the same dev thought it looked like a duck in this shot.
This is the redesign: http://resistance.wikia.com/wiki/File:928399_20061019_screen007.jpg which is basically a Mk 14 with a different stock. Pretty damn silly for the era, but it's not like it isn't clear what it is. Evil Tim (talk) 20:34, 9 January 2015 (EST)
Eh, fact that it didn't have a single screenshot probably didn't help matters, plus it listed a whole bunch of the sci-fi weapons for no reason. Evil Tim (talk) 21:31, 9 January 2015 (EST)

Resistance 2

Yes but Resistance 2 has four real guns heavily customized. But if the page is gonna be deleted when it's ready tell to stop creating the article. (talk),

Son of a Gun

I was feeling nice so I figured I'd leave it up a day or so to see if he did anything with it. Needlessly nice, perhaps. Evil Tim (talk) 08:47, 10 January 2015 (EST)

OK, I'll do this, but a little later: now I must doing my institute homework. Pyramid Silent (talk) 13:48, 12 January 2015 (EST)

Hitler rise of evil

Yeh! :) I always create an article first so it's saved into the database before adding more info to it. More stuff will be added. I haven't got all the screencaps taken and uploaded yet but dont worry! :) Dudester32 (talk) 12:32, 4 February 2015 (EST)

Inquiry on TV page(s) categorization

I'm in the last stages for my X-Files pages (finished up S9 page with caps and all), all that's left is the last round of cross-listings for the gun pages and I was going to add Infobox templates for the individual season pages (possibly also the film pages, though I'm leaving the main page alone). As such, I was starting to go about setting up the Infobox templates as well as add filming/production categories on the pages - But before doing so, in terms of of both Categorizing and listing on the Infobox templates for the season pages, should it only be listed as Canadian Produced/Filmed for the first five seasons and combine USA/Canada for the rest (I believe Chris Carter's company 1013 Productions is Canadian, not certain though) and/or should USA be noted for all the pages (Per the FOX network, etc)? I'm asking a couple folks this, would like a good idea of how to proceed as I'm not sure in this case, with the not exact merging of US and Canadian stuff here. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. StanTheMan (talk) 17:39, 13 February 2015 (EST)

I just checked that (Was looking up proper cast lists and production/distribution companies for infoboxes to put on the film pages), and indeed both are US companies. With that, I might not list Canada in the infoboxes, but will probably categorize the appropriate pages as Canadian Produced/Filmed though. I know X-Files was one of the more noted shows filmed in BC, and a lot of stuff pertains to it.. I'll look into a bit more and consult with MT2008 if I can (he's well-read on the show, especially the Vancouver portion), so I guess we'll see. Thanks for the input. StanTheMan (talk) 18:25, 13 February 2015 (EST)
Ahhh.. I wondered what the deal was with the filmed/produced categories. That said, you had stated prior many may not qualify just because they're filmed in BC (to which I understand and agree), but again, this one had big links to Vancouver for the first five seasons.. Perhaps this instance may fall into one of those grey areas (But then again perhaps not). All-told, I think my original suggestion of S1-S5 being listed as Canada and USA and the rest USA only is probably the best way to go here - More than anything its worth noting and, to an extent, emphasizing, the difference in filming location. I'd like to get some more details to be sure but that seems to me to be the best course, if that would be okay with you guys, of course. StanTheMan (talk) 21:52, 13 February 2015 (EST)
This is true, though I worried about going into writeups for fear of getting too in-depth in regards to background trivia and such - I feel I'm not the best candidate for writeups (I've done some stuff, but never anything to the extent you're suggesting), always think I'll go a bit overboard with my yabbering - BUT! Might indeed be fun to work up some stuff, I am aware of much of these things and more still, certainly enough to where it could be done - I could certainly see about tackling it once I have all the technical stuff out of the way. Appreciate the thoughts here, thanks again. StanTheMan (talk) 22:44, 13 February 2015 (EST)
Well, those are good points - I certainly don't want to get into a squabble over it, so there it is. I suppose when there is a 'Canadian Filmed' category or something it can always be dealt with it later. Of course I could ignore making writeups and the infoboxes and dodge the issue completely, but what would be the fun in that? Anyway, if that's the deal, then I'll ignore MT's recommendation and leave this matter be. As you said, I can note it the writeups (which I'm still forming up, so not like I'm on the edge waiting for the decision on this matter here, heh) and ultimately I guess it's not that big a deal. Hell I myself am one of those who think there's a few too many categories anyway, so indeed, probably better to just disregard that aspect anyway. StanTheMan (talk) 17:55, 15 February 2015 (EST)

Writeups

Posted ones for the first two seasons on my newly-made Sandbox page. Whaddya think? StanTheMan (talk) 21:44, 16 February 2015 (EST)

Good to know. I had judged by the ones on the L&O pages, which aren't that long, but you had previously mentioned the M:I series, and looking at them, they seem like stubs by comparison.. heh. I want to get at least another one or two going before I start loading them up on the live pages, but glad to know I seem to be on the right track. Thanks. I believe Bunni has the site set up to send him an email any time someone leaves a message on his talk page, so that's probably the best place to start. Evil Tim (talk) 16:39, 17 March 2015 (EDT)

Eh, still worth a try. If it doesn't work I think I have his email address somewhere. Evil Tim (talk) 17:18, 17 March 2015 (EDT)

(Day of the Jackal) - Custom Sniper Rifle

The (Day of the Jackal) - Custom Sniper Rifle, it feels a bit redundant to have a whole article just for that weapon. Any chance we can delete it and incorporate the text into the main The Day of the Jackal article perhaps? Dudester32 (talk) 05:52, 23 March 2015 (EDT)

I'll see what I can do. Dudester32 (talk) 08:51, 23 March 2015 (EDT)

Forum Requests

Hey Funky, I looked into this but there's no way for me to give you the ability to create forum accounts without you being able to see everyone's email information - and as you know we have some very private users so that's a no go. Otherwise I'd love to have the help. :/ I'll do them all in a batch tomorrow. I have it set to email me when someone requests an account but I just realized google dumps all my notifications into spam. I'm looking for a company to take over our outbound email so we hopefully make it through google's spam filters more regularly. --bunni (talk) 01:42, 15 April 2015 (EDT)

My ID

Hello, Funkychinaman! I'm sorry, I have one question: how do you think: is my ID correct: The World of Kanako? Pyramid Silent (talk) 17:25, 20 April 2015 (EDT)

Squad

Thanks Funkychinaman! i'll note that, i hope i won't make the same mistake again someday. Can i ask you how to delete a photo that i've uploaded?

got it, i didn't mean to bother you or anything but can i ask you another one? how to change the description or tag a photo that have already been uploaded?

Yeah

I wouldn't have thought "the fact that we use wiki software does not mean we're wikipedia" would be that hard, but... Evil Tim (talk) 14:09, 7 May 2015 (EDT)

I wasn't in the mood to get back into hairsplitting with him after that whole "I'm going to assume you don't know what a tube magazine is" thing he started out with. Given the heart of my point was that if they aren't updating key project pages for years on end and missing spambots for months they're not going to spot a minor mistake, it's not like making one edit in two weeks somehow refutes me. Hell, it took Liam less time than that to build his entire IMFDB knockoff and lose interest in it. Evil Tim (talk) 23:47, 20 May 2015 (EDT)

Sailor Suit and Machine Gun

Hello, Funkychinaman! I'm sorry, I have some question: may it's revolver be the Nambu Model 60 - standart weapon of japanese police and detectives? Pyramid Silent (talk) 18:04, 8 May 2015 (EDT)

Ongoing tab

I usually take off the "Ongoing" tab when that particular season is no longer on the air. The ongoing tab is still on the home page for the series with multiple seasons.

I understand your intentions. Unlike films, television series episodes usually can be capped legitimately very soon afterwards because they are available either streaming from the network's website, can be downloaded from iTunes or Hulu or can be recorded right over the air. Waiting for the video release doesn't seem as pertinent here. --Ben41 (talk) 22:01, 23 May 2015 (EDT)

Firearm Page

Hello, Funkychinaman! I'm sorry, I have one question: may I create page for Adams Revolver, that appears in the anime Case Closed: The Phantom of Baker Street? Pyramid Silent (talk) 16:02, 31 May 2015 (EDT)

Well, guess he's still around

The trick is the Youtube channel called Shadowdarkrai is actually the channel for "liamisultimate7788." That plus him saying he's from the UK and talking about games set in the future (Liam wanted a Halo page) plus comical illiteracy, it's him. Evil Tim (talk) 01:49, 1 June 2015 (EDT)

Cover letter

We can still see the deleted revision, but it's basically the guy's CV and I think he didn't realise it would be posted publicly. It's probably enough information for someone to find out who he is if it's accurate. Evil Tim (talk) 16:17, 11 June 2015 (EDT)

Eh, just struck me as TMI for the guy, you can revert it if you think I acted out of line. Or just change it to declare his user page the IMFDB trilobite sanctuary or something if you just don't like it blank :P Evil Tim (talk) 18:42, 11 June 2015 (EDT)

Need Your Opinion

I was going to add this to the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 page, but I kinda need your opinion on something: What the heck would I label it under? It looks to be based on the Bulldog shotgun but, and I'm not kidding, is called a Semi-Automatic Rifle in game. I'm thinking I should put it under Assault Rifles, but should I label it under Assault Rifles or Shotguns?--SeanWolf (talk) 15:02, 8 July 2015 (EDT)

Hey,man,I need your help.U explained me why my page about this pistol was deleted 2 times.I just wanted to tell you that I think THE PISTOL HAS AN APPEARANCE in Anaconda 3: Offspring. The Walter PP is actually a Carpati MD(in my opinion).I think that because the movie was filmed in Romania and there is also RATMIL Model 96.If you think I'm right, please let me know,so I can edit the page. PS: I'm pretty new,so take me easy man. Here, you have a shot of the pistol. [8]

Yes!

Fair enough x2! :) Dudester32 (talk) 17:06, 17 August 2015 (EDT)

Deinterlace

If I am taking screenshots, I keep deinterlace "Off" and just go frame by frame until I find an entire filled frame. Deinterlace tends to make the image softer. --Ben41 (talk) 18:22, 19 August 2015 (EDT)

For older series, I turn up the sharpness a bit. On a side note, the aspect ratio for your new Mission: Impossible 1988 screenshots seems a bit off. Do you have the aspect ratio box checked? --Ben41 (talk) 18:31, 19 August 2015 (EDT)

Mission Impossible 1988

The video producers probably only had the videotape masters of these seasons. They were trying to keep the cost low so people would buy them. Here are the comparisons of the screenshots what it probably was supposed to look like. I went into the "Resize/Resample" window of VLC and changed aspect ratio from "720x480" to "640x480" and cropped out the excess black. --Ben41 (talk) 19:59, 19 August 2015 (EDT)

Useless images

Hey,man! I need some help . I recently created a page 'bout actor Frank Aquilino. But the first image(the bigger one) with him and his unnamed assistant is useless(is too big and has an uncorrect description).I appreciate if you would help me to delete it. P.S:Sorry for disturbing, thank you a lot.--VLAD M (talk) 17:08, 20 August 2015 (EDT) Thanks a lot for your help. But,with Frank Aquilino is one more problem. He didn't played in many movies, and it seems that only in Analyze This he uses/carries a gun😟.--VLAD M (talk)August 21st 2015 11:31 Thank you, man! It's verry kind...Also,I need help(again). I noticed that,in Call of Duty Black Ops-series(CoD WaW,Black Ops 1&2) is used a verry interesting M1911.It has a straight mainspring housing (like a WW1-dated M1911) ,but it's blue finish, short triger,A2 markings and grips.Maybe I'm wrong but the straight Mainspring housing forces me to be 100% sure that the pistol is NOT A WW2 M1911A1.--VLAD M (talk)14:57 August 21st,2015 World at War:
