The Punisher (1989)
The Punisher was the 1989 action film that was the first movie adaptation of the Marvel comic book character. The B-movie starred Dolph Lundgren as the vigilante Frank Castle. The Punisher character would subsequently be "rebooted" two more times: 2004's The Punisher starring Thomas Jane and 2008's Punisher: War Zone starring Ray Stevenson . Despite the American setting, the production was entirely filmed in Sydney, Australia.
