::Man, it's too bad that loser came back and screwed with the images.  When we banned him the first time, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he just had troubles with English or something, but now it's clear that he is an out-and-out vandal.  Sucks what happened.  Anything I can do? -[[User:MT2008|MT2008]] 01:51, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 01:51, 6 October 2009

Hi , there is a kid name Brady94 or something that keeps changing the images from H&K UMP, I asked him twice to stop doing it and he doesn´t understand , so if you could protect this image or ask him yourself because the images that he uploads are lousy ones compare to the pictures of moviepropmaster thanks.Gerry

Absolutely 18th C. weapons are fine - I even set up an anime section for fantasy weapons. I should be the one thanking you for helping me build the site! bunni 06:33, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

You're quite welcome for the WotW help. As for the M16A2 and the Mk 19, the convoy scene should help. I believe one of the humvees (with the gunner wearing sunglasses instead of goggles) has the Mk 19 and the truck full of soldiers (one of which shouts to Robbie that he's gonna get run over) should be bristling with M16A2's. The hilltop battle scene would be another place to check for M16A2's if the convoy yields no results. Orca1 9904 18:30, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid the gun you posted as an M16A2 from WotW is another M4A1 carbine. Note the short foregrip. Orca1 9904 00:28, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
There you go, that's more like it. :) Orca1 9904 01:01, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

DSA-58OSW

I'm pretty sure that gun you posted from RE:Apocalypse is a DSA-58OSW, a FAL clone made by DS Arms, not a SCAR CQC.

Scarface

Wow, nice job on Scarface - I just found it while browsing around the site! :) bunni 04:53, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Beretta pistol SNAFU

Thank you for helping to clear up the mess reguarding the Beretta M92F and Beretta 93R pages. Orca1 9904 00:53, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Just a reminder

Just wanted to make sure you knew about the new category Bunni implemented for screenshots, and that the tag for them should be posted in the description of each applicable pic. Orca1 9904 19:19, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Aircraft-mounted Lewis Gun images

Do you think you could find a non-screenshot image of the aircraft-mounted Lewis Gun like in Image:PDVD 081.jpg? That's the same machine gun mounted on the biplanes in the climax of King Kong, and an image of that weapon would greatly add to the article. Orca1 9904 21:10, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Disreguard, just saw that there was such an image on the The Mummy page. Orca1 9904 21:22, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

Congrats!

Your Scarface page was featured on gorillamask.net and uniquedaily.com today - over 3,000 hits in the last few hours, I'll update you with the total number of viewers it receives. As a side note you should keep an eye on it for the next few days to erase any vandalism. Best, Chris. bunni 02:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

Blocking Users

WikiSysop is me, bunni - I just don't make edits with the admin account so I don't screw anything up to bad. I perma blocked one guy for vandalism - post their ip's to my talk page and I'll give them the boot. The scarface page hit ebaumsworld so we're getting a ton of new traffic, 14,000 hits and counting in the last 12 hours - good thing I upgraded the server. :)

Adding Admins

I'm all for that, you and orca are the only ones I'd trust with admin status though. Let me know if you're up for it and I'll figure out how to upgrade your accounts. bunni 00:55, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Digg

I submitted the Saving Private Ryan page to Digg - can you digg it? http://digg.com/movies/A_visual_guide_to_the_guns_of_Saving_Private_Ryan bunni 18:29, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Page Redirection

If you could provide me with an email address or other secure means of communication I would be happy to tell you. Sorry for the covertness, just want to keep that knowledge from falling into the hands of vandals who might use it for malicious purposes. Orca1 9904 21:52, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Funny...

I was watching Goldmember on Fox last night, checked the site to see if anyone had done a page on it, was sad that no one had, then I woke up this morning and there it was. lol bunni 16:51, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Sin City

Go ahead and edit the screenshots and page - I'm sure a couple of those are Colt Pythons... and I'm guessing Bruce Willis's is a large S&W... but I am at a total loss on revolvers in general. bunni 20:50, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Call for screenshots

I was wondering if you or Bunni could help add some screenshots to some of the film & game articles I've made? I'm only limited to images I've been able to scour off the internet, which sadly isn't much. Any help you two could provide would be greatly appreciated. Orca1 9904 21:55, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:AA3_Handgun.jpg

Just looked at the pic of Mini Me with the unknown handgun, and it looks like some sort of Glock or a clone thereof. Orca1 9904 01:23, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

American History X

Thanks for Editing the American History X page. My English sentences are not that good, so that is at least one thing you could help me with... ;-) And about the credits: I just made the screenshots... You came up with all the names, so I think it should be your name on that page.

Sorry I didn't reply earlier on your message on my 'Talk': It was 7.35 a.m. here, so I was quite tired :-P

You're now a Sysop, Congrats!

Thanks for all your efforts so far, I finally got the chance to research how to set user privileges and made both you and Orca Sysops. You can now ban users, delete and undelete pages, and revert pages to previous versions. Thanks much! Best, Chris WikiSysop 23:31, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Awesome, go for it man. :) Orca1 9904 01:51, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

BB2 G36K

It's only visible for a split second but one of the DEA agents Syd works with who is involved in the chase can be seen holding one in the Ford Bronco. I belive it's during the part where the Haitians are dumping cars off the hijacked semi truck. Orca1 9904 23:46, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Screenshot Help?

I was wondering, do you know how to get screenshots with InterVideo WinDVD? I'd like to try to get some screenshots of my own, but don't know how with this program. Orca1 9904 00:08, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Is this it?

Negative, that's a G36C, note the carry handle design. Orca1 9904 00:09, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Screenshot Help

I'm afraid I don't see anything like that on my program. I'll ask Bunni if he can help. By the way, is it me, or does Bad Boys II have more guns than any other film on this site thus far? Orca1 9904 01:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Question

Just trying to keep the articles in a type of uniform order with the pics of the guns above the screenshots showing them. Hope that's not a problem? Orca1 9904 05:16, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Thanks

No problem at all. Your Dawn of the Dead article actually helped me ID one of the guns in Die Another Day, namely the Smith & Wesson Model 15 revolver Bond uses in Cuba. Took one look at it and was immediately reminded of the one from your article. Orca1 9904 13:47, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Re nice call

Yea the PA8 is a unique gun, it almost is a Franchi Spas 12 minus a few addons. I'm still working on the unknown guns fron V for Vendetta, Dawn of the Dead, and Mr.& Mrs Smith. Just let me know if there are others.--Gunner313 17:28, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

two movie requests

You should add Miami Vice (new movie) to the list. Miami Vice has a lot of different guns. And a page needs to be made for Swordfish. Mabye three movies, Smokin Aces has a lot of gun play as well.--Gunner313 04:55, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Underworld MP5 ID?

Are you sure that's the A2 version of the MP5 being used in Underworld? That one screenshot shows what looks like an MP5A3-style telescoping stock vs. the MP5A2's fixed stock. Orca1 9904 01:39, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Awesome work on Lethal Weapon 4

Great work on the Lethal Weapon 4 screenshots so far. Feel free to fill in any weapons and details I missed, as I haven't actually seen the film in a while and only put in what I could recall from memory. Orca1 9904 05:12, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Lethal Weapon 4 mystery pistol

Can you ID the silver pistol in this screenshot and who's using it? Orca1 9904 06:27, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

M41A Pulse Rifle Info

Heya, I noticed you're starting a page on Aliens, and thought you might find this interesting.

M41A Pulse Rifle @ Wikipedia

Seems like there were components of three different real-world guns used to make the Space Marines' M41A Pulse Rifles. Also I believe the Heckler & Koch VP70 makes an appearance in there somewhere. Orca1 9904 00:57, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Aliens

That flamethrower looks like it might have some M16 in it, most notably the carry handle/rear sight assembly. Orca1 9904 01:35, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Also looks like it's got an M203 handguard on it. Orca1 9904 02:03, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

Miami Vice Id

I try and identify any gun you want. Miami vice has a lot of different guns in it.

Miami Vice

Yes that will be fine.--Gunner313 21:43, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Miami Vice Sniper Rifle

I think this might be the sniper rifle from Miami Vice (2006), let me know what you think. Orca1 9904 05:17, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Identification

Afraid not man, sorry. Can't make out any of the markings on it, and the casing doesn't match anything I'm familiar with. Orca1 9904 08:35, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: King Kong

Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it. I'm presently watching Clear and Present Danger and working on that page as I type this. Orca1 9904 22:08, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Thank you

I just saw the work you did on King Kong (2005), and wanted to thank you for the excellent job you did with the screenshots. If you could help me with the Patriot Games article I'm currently working on I'd greatly appreciate it. It's presently airing on Spike TV as part of a Harrison Ford marathon they're running tonight. Orca1 9904 01:32, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Re: Thanks

I'm afraid I've got no idea what kind of gun that is, other than some sort of field artillery gun. Orca1 9904 01:47, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Instant messenger?

Just out of curiousity, do you have any kind of instant messaging program so we could chat in real-time? I'm on AIM and YIM. Orca1 9904 01:55, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

How do you know it is a A3 the only difference between the A3 and A2 is the trigger group. From a distance both models look the same.--Gunner313 16:43, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Need ID for SoaP pistols

Just saw some semi-auto pistols at the start of Snakes on a Plane being used by Eddie Kim's henchmen but I couldn't ID them. They were seen with and without silencers. Any help would be appreciated. Orca1 9904 00:23, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Pistol ID Needed

Hey, do you think you could ID this pistol? I was browsing still images from The World Is Not Enough on IMDB and came upon this pic:

File:TWINEPistol.JPG
The "Cigar Lady" moments before using a Smith & Wesson 5906 to blow up a hot air balloon and kill herself in The World Is Not Enough

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Orca1 9904 20:19, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Response from an anoymous user: I believe that the handgun in that picture is a Smith and Wesson 5906.

Special Request

You wrote: I also want to know if you can do me a favor, if you can upload a picture of a Remington 870 with Ghost Ring Sights and a High Capacity Tube like the one in the screenshot below for the Dawn of the Dead (2004) page, I would greatly appreciate it, and great work so far.

Sure. I have a dozen Remington 870s set up for films, but none in that variation, but I will ask around to the other Weapons wranglers and see who has one like the one you're looking for. I will be taking shots of my 870s in the standard police and police folding stock versions. I will also try to get a pic of the 870 that Linda Hamilton actually used in T2. But a lot of the guns are used in a film and then retrofitted to look different for another movie. Thanks for the compliment. I sure would like people to see that IMFDB has REAL pics of REAL movie guns and not just copies of pics from Gun sites or (worse!) Airsoft pics. You know it DOES cost me money to get pics of some of those particular guns from famous movies .... I have to take the armorer who worked on the specific movie OUT to a nice lunch! hahahaha.

I am also pretty shocked that you, Orca, MT and others are so damned young! Y'all are just kids! But you have an IMPRESSIVE array of knowledge and wisdom and maturity for your years! I can tell you now, that you guys act more mature than tons of guys who are old enough to be your dads! .....MoviePropMaster2008

Looks like another spammer

http://www.imfdb.org/index.php?title=Template:GFDL Don't know what this guy is trying to do, but at any rate, a complete page in another language is verboten.

Armageddon screenshots

Thanks a lot for providing screenshots for Armageddon! I only have the movie on VHS so wasn't able to get any images myself. You did a wonderful job, and really helped the article a lot. Keep up the awesome work, man! :) Orca1 9904 19:18, 4 August 2008 (UTC)Orca1_9904

Gunmaster45

Thanks, you're screen shots are good too. Keep up the good work.

I read your guns held, do you have any pictures of it so someone could I.D. it here. I got some major gunsmith bibles with just about every gun ever made and even if I can't I.D. it by sight, I'd have that book. Or is it a case of you held it a long time ago and couldn't remember it if you tried? Let me know, I'd love to help.

Re: Screenshot Help By the way, is it me, or does Bad Boys II have more guns than any other film on this site thus far? Orca1 9904 01:04, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Now my Last Action Hero and Hollow Point pages have it beat. Cool!
Distict B13 has tied with Hollow Point. Both have 37. But if I had sorted all the guns on the wedding table section, I'd have had him beat. I guess the most gun heavy movies are the ones no one hears of or hasn't in a long time. Last Action Hero is a great movie, 34 guns, but no one really even knows about it.
Let's see how my Hard Boiled page turns out once I get back to work on it. I realize it doesn't have either of those pages beat yet, but every time I watch that movie, I see another type of gun in it that I didn't notice before. I'm willing to bet that it could have even District B13 beat once I finish the page.

Re: Thanks

My computer was recently so dark I couldn't have seen it myself, but I turned the brightness up recently so I could see what the hell was going on. I could tell the 2nd shotgun was a Wincehster 12 because my dad just got one to fix in the shop and I had just been looking at a book that showed the bottom of the shotgun, which looked indentical to the shot in the movie. Thanks for complementing my Toy Soldiers page. I actually bought it off Ebay just to screencap it. I had seen it on TV and wanted to put it on the site because I thought it was cool. I'm actually just about to upload Heartbreak Ridge page, so you can check that out soon. Keep up the good work. -Gunmaster45

Re:Hey

Oh, don't worry, I don't really want to "compete" or anything for most screenshots in a movie. But it must be said that Hard Boiled really does have a ridiculous number of different types of firearms, so once I get a new computer that's actually capable of playing DVDs without slowing down, I can get back to work on that. That, and the fact that making arrangements to move to Texas are proving rather difficult, are the reasons I keep delaying my work on the page.

You are right...I really should get the Boyz n the Hood and Belly pages re-done. I still have the screenshots I took before the Great Crash, and there aren't that many guns in either movie, so it's something I could get done.

Wait, so you're one of the mods? And Orca, too? Whew! You know, for a while, I've thought this site's been going without any mods, because I see Bunni and Wykiscop (errr, I know I butchered that) so rarely. That's so odd that I just thought you guys were regular users like myself. Goes to show how behind I am...
Yeah, I'm still trying to fix up the Beretta page. Is there a way to do breaks after each section for the different variants? I know there is in Wikipedia, but I couldn't get the same thing to work here. The Beretta page still needs some work, so does the SIG P220 series page, and the M1911 page is basically a disaster right now! Also, I did see your Shooter page - nice work! Sadly, I sold my Taurus PT92, which was a very old one (wood grips and no third position decocker) many years ago to pay for my AK, and now my S&W 4506 is my only pistol. I like Berettas and Tauruses, but I only prefer the Taurus slightly because I think the safety is in a better position (you can reach it with your thumb more easily than the Beretta).

Re:MGS4 M1911A1

Thanks, I wish I had one too. I hope to buy one soon but I'm unemployed and money is a big factor. I've got about $200 now, I'm half way there. I worship the 1911 from the 3rd game and hope to one day make one based on what is said in the game. The Uber 1911. I just wanted the code unless I get one anytime in the future.

Re:Nice Job

I can do those little pages day after day, it's the big movies that take a weekend to do. I'll take care of the other two Jurassic Parks sometime this week, I have the Rambos, Unforgiven, the other Sergio Leone westerns and a lot more on my list. -GM

870

Error creating thumbnail: File missing

Per your request: That looks like a Remington 870 but the rear ghost ring sights look like Mossberg 590 style sights. Weird. I can get a Remington 870 with Ghost ring sights, but the sights I've seen don't look like Ving Rhames' gun. Have you found any shot on the web of the exact configuration that he has? Or did their armorer just put Mossberg Sights on a remington? MPM2008

Check out the vandal

Some moron is now vandalizing the Commando Page. His last comment when i said 'not to delete page contents and replace them with gibberish' was "It's fun. Good luck". But he changes his IP address every time.

Beretta

Hi,

This is kinda minor, but just so you know...the Beretta 92FS is not spelled "M92FS", "M92F", or "92 FS" (with a space between the '92' and 'FS'). It's exactly as I've spelled it: Beretta 92FS. Sorry to be nitpicky, but you know, that's what we're here for.

It looks awesome now! I actually have the trilogy on DVD and have thought about screencapping this movie (and the first) for a while, but like a lot of things, I never seem to get around to it. But...that's OK, cause you've done a fine job yourself!
One thing I should point out is that you might want to take a screencap of the end when Simon's men are all grabbing MP5Ks out of the crates before they try to flee the cops. I remember all of the MP5Ks in that particular scene being Daisy BB replicas of MP5Ks, and I figured that might be worth pointing out.
Appreciated!

Re: Bad Boys II P226

Yeah, I suppose we should, just because MPM2008 went to the trouble of taking the picture and it would be a shame not to use it. Especially if it's a more accurate representation of the gun that Lawrence uses in the film.

Beretta M92FS

Don't know if this is good enough. Let me know. I was trying to find one with a Pietro Beretta marking on the slide, but a lot of mine have Beretta USA marked on the slide. If it's not good enough, then I'll keep on looking for one that's not all beat up with a Pietro Beretta marked slide. Alot of our Berettas are heavily customized.

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Hey, Alienqueen, now that we have our own genuine 92F picture courtesy of MoviePropMaster, do you want to start replacing the Beretta image that we've been using since the site was started? Last I checked, we have over 100 pages linking to the old Beretta image, so it might take a while, but I think it's worth our while to phase out older images taken from other sites, and replace them with MPM's images.
BTW, to answer your question: There is pretty much zero difference between American-made 92Fs and Italian-made guns besides the markings. There are some internal differences between the original 92F and the 92FS, however, but I don't think it's terribly relevant for the purposes of this site.

RE: Dawn of the Dead

Feel free to remove them or add some of the info to the descriptions. -GM

Re:

Probably for the better...unfortunately, I'm not so good with shotguns (I have trouble telling Mossberg 500s apart from 590s, for instance). -MT2008

Only thing is, I'm a bit worried, because isn't it going to fuck up all the links on movie/TV/game pages that go to the Beretta page? It's kind of a bad situation when you've got a page that's got so many other pages linked to it. Is there any way to find a list of pages that link directly to the Beretta 92F page?
Also, I agree with you that people should not put links to gun pages in the titles. It looks really bad, and personally, I like pages to look clean and neat. -MT2008
Oh, yeah, and I didn't realize you could delete stuff? Can I give you some other pages to delete? As well as images?
Hmmm, maybe I'll do it later. But right now, here are some pages that need to go, because the users who made them didn't check carefully enough to make sure that other pages existed, or because they just weren't relevant to IMFDB:
Also, the talk page for the SIG SG 551 page you deleted is still there, so you might wanna ditch that, too. -MT2008
Awesome! Will do. But it looks you've got a good start so far. -MT2008
Thanks! Like I said, I will get around to it, though not tonight. -MT2008
If I were you, I'd go ahead and just add a lock on MPM2008's images to be safe. But then again, considering this user has openly defied you and doesn't seem to be contributing much of use to IMFDB, you could also just ban him for being a nuisance. -MT2008
Good call. It sucks when we have to do stuff like that, but I think it's a necessary evil at the moment. -MT2008

Is it everyone you can't block? Or only people with weird characters in their names? bunni 22:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Hah! Try it out - I think I fixed it. bunni 22:37, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

WTF?

I leave for a few days and all Hell breaks loose! hahaha ;) What was going on? I think someone was being careless with image overwrites. I guess now I'm a mod, though I will pretty much only have time to protect images (and the occasional banning of a vandal, but only if I'm 100% sure).  ;) You guys did a great job of reverting pics, many times BEFORE I even noticed it myself! :) That was pretty seamless and invisible support, but I suppose that it got tiresome for you guys. I guess I won't have to complain to a mod if I see more vandalism on the site. Thanks. I do like the ability to edit the uploaded images. MoviePropMaster2008

edit: I still can't figure why someone would overwrite an image that was SHOT for IMFDB with a 'stolen' shot from the net. Weird.

870

As for the DOTD 870 I would have to get Mossberg ghost ring sights and PUT them on an 870, which is what I'm pretty sure the armorer did. I don't have ANY mossberg sights and currently aren't ready to spend the $$ to pick them up, but I will try to get someone with both to do us the favor and swap them for a pic. I'm pretty sure that will do it for the page. :) Will keep that on the list of things to do. MoviePropMaster2008

Re: Good news

Excellent! Nice to be rid of that dude finally. I dunno what his problem was, anyway.

I appreciate the nomination for mod, but I must warn you that I'm not sure I can be all that helpful. I'm working 40 hrs. a week now, and I usually don't post from my computer at work. So it's kinda hard for me to keep watch on this site regularly like I could have done when I was still in college. -MT2008

Oh, I'll most def accept it, provided Bunni's OK with it. I'm sure I can help out to some degree even if I can't always be on the site. I just thought I'd give you a heads-up. -MT2008

Okay, I'll get to it when I can.

Screencaps

One thing I'd recommend...for now, we should leave the movie screencaps up, but only if they're ones that haven't been replaced by better ones on their pages. Choi's shots from The Killer, for instance, are worth keeping. I'll put them on the page when I get around to it. MT2008 05:03, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I think so. I'm guessing some of these images may have been uploaded for pages that were lost in the Great Crash. MT2008 05:09, 2 November 2008 (UTC)
Yep, that would be a good idea. And wow...between the two of us, we've REALLY put a serious dent in the number of unused images that were in circulation. Unfortunately, as I'm discovering, there are still some users who uploaded images of guns we already have JUST for their own pages - the Chaos page was a good example before I edited it. We're gonna have to watch out for stuff like that, too - unnecessary images of guns that appear on only one page. It looks like user Mmanalang did this quite frequently - I'm gonna have to work on his Revolver page a bit, too. -MT2008 05:15, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Re:Jaws

Go for it, I don't own it. I only added stuff to the page because I saw it on TV. If you do do it though, don't forget to cut out any widescreen bars and gets some nice shots of Sheider shooting his guns, because his current pic on his page is mediocre at best. -GM

4 brothers HK41

Uh, that's not an HK41. the 41 was the early precursor to the HK91 and fires the .308 round. That's a 223 magazine. that's an HK33.MoviePropMaster2008 07:26, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Someone else put down that it was an HK41, long before AlienQueen. I hadn't seen this movie in a while and couldn't remember what it was myself, but I doubted it was an HK41. -MT2008 18:28, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Database Error

I just tried to access the article for The Beast of War and got some kind of database error. Think you & Bunni could take a look at it and find out what's wrong? Orca1 9904 21:07, 4 November 2008 (UTC)Orca1_9904

Thanks

Thanks for recommending me as an admin. to bunni. I really like being an admin. Check out my Leone trilogy sometime. That's a fistful of dollars, for a few dollars more, and the good the bad and the ugly if you don't know. I finally got them done. -GM

Nice work with Four Brothers, btw.

New pics

Thanks. I try to please. I will be shooting a a3 and A4 as well as a Diemaco soon. I really want to start replacing all of the Colt commando and 653 pics when I can. I got better versions of all these guns and as you probably can tell, I've started taking all my pics with a Nikon Digital camera instead of shooting with a film camera and scanning the pics (some of the older ones were that "old School" way). The Digital camera sure makes a difference. MoviePropMaster2008 20:07, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Thank you much! :)

I explained my lighting set up to GM45 (you can check it out on his talk page), but it seems pretty complicated, but not so much once it's already set up. But thanks anyway. 99.999999% of the gun pics on the net SUCK! (also they're probably not public domain which is why IMFDB should try to replace as many of the copyrighted images as soon as possible). I just wonder if anyone notices (other than GM, MT, you and the other heavy duty mods/contributors), i.e. people who just visit IMFDB. So far I haven't seen any of my images pirated on other sites, so that's a good thing.  :) hahaha. I replaced one of my older M4 pics with a new one done with the new digital camera... It's one with aftermarket Rails but it's an iconic M4 image that we didn't have a good one of. I will also try to do the LE version and one with an M203, more like Thomas Jane's version in "the PUnisher". MoviePropMaster2008 20:48, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Luger P08

Hahahaha. I finally posted a pic of one of the Lugers we have in inventory. Apparently this is one of the Luger P08s used on the Television show "Hogan's Heroes" in the 1960s. It sure is beat up. Though that info is third hand is the only reason I don't post it because I don't have the info directly from the source. The Barrel was replaced about 20 years ago for some reason, which is why the finish doesn't match. It's a bit of TV history, thought you'd get a kick out of it.  :) MoviePropMaster2008 23:07, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Assault on Precinct 13

Hey, have you seen the special feature from the Assault on Precinct 13 (2005)‎ DVD where Charles Taylor (the movie's armorer) shows off the guns used in the movie? Dunno if you've thought of this already, but you should screencaps from that and use them on the page, just as GunMaster did for the Bad Boys page. -MT2008 02:37, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

I should get rid of those pics tho, the armorer was actually showing guns similair to the ones in the film. I only realized this after I had finished uploading them. Shooter had a similair special featture.
I have a lot of stuff to do tonight so I'll do it tommorow anyway, you starting AOP13 just help give me the extra boost to say "aw, f#@% it". -GM

To Alienqueen11. I belive I am not aware of vandilising any articles. Maybye it was an edit I made that has been mis-classified as vandilism? I have made an article on Stormboy, which I wasnt sure on due to the fact its a kids movie. Ultraussie 03:52, 10 November 2008 (UTC) NOTE: Now I remember that ive edited Die Another Day article with vandilism. Please dis-regard my previous message. Ultraussie 03:53, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

Tears of the Sun

Nice job chopping off the widescreen bars, it needed that. I did that with Quigley Down Under, and I don't want to do it again after that. Training Day, Rambo: First Blood, and Hostage (2005) need similair treatment. -GM

Check it out

I think this is the most pristine shot of an AK-104 ever on the net! ;) And only IMFDB has it. :) hahaha. The only inaccuracy is that I didn't have the bakelite 7.62 magazines that are correct on this model, so I used a Bulgarian Waffle Pattern Magazine. If you think it's too inaccurate then I will try to find a mag and repost the image.

MoviePropMaster2008 01:44, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

The only thing really bugging me is the stock. The buttstock is a converted synthetic AK74 (made to fold) but the sling swivel is on the wrong side and the big gap for the scope mount on the stock is not there. I am waiting for a shipment of the real buttstock for the 104. That's a movie gun so it's not a perfect example of the real world AK104. I'll put a note that this is will be rephotographed when I get the correct magazine and buttstock.

Hostage

Thanks, it looks much better but you missed one or two of them. How come the Beretta still has black bars but is squished now? -GM

You missed one of the USP Expert shots. I always thought if they got all distorted that I did the upload wrong, now I knwo. Thanks for fixing it. It looks far better now. -GM

Request

I'll keep it in mind. I usually do a bunch of handguns at once, and then a bunch of Rifles at once because I have to shift and adjust the entire lighting setup to do each size. I've done a bunch of images that I haven't uploaded yet, because I want to edit out the plastic pegs holding up the guns in the photographic table. Edit: Some of the Berettas don't interswap. I tried it once. I'll try it amongst a variety of models to see what fits. I've noticed that some different finishes have different tolerances between the frame and the slide. Again I will add that to my long list of things to do.

hehehehe. Here's a weird one. I saw this WAAAAAAYYY in the back of the vault. Figured someone would be interested in it. ;)

mystery gun

hahaha sorry for being unclear and confusing with my file naming nomenclature :) . That's not an FG421. The file name is actually supposed to be FG42 1st pattern. It's a FG 42 aka Fallschirmjäger Gewehr 42 - the full sized assault rifle that fired the 7.92 Mauser round, used by Fallschirmjäger (German Paratroopers) in World War 2. It's so rare that few people have one. I missed an opportunity to get the 2nd pattern one, and now I'm kicking myself for missing that opportunity. I could have had both versions. MoviePropMaster2008 04:23, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Widescreen Movies

Two in need of fixing are MT2008's Training Day and The Replacement Killers pages, since they are on the main page. Other than my Rambo: First Blood page, I think that's it. Not to bug you or anything, I just thought I'd let you know. -GM

The Dark side of movie guns

One of the original Type 56 rifles from the movie "Uncommon Valor" (and no, please Don't post this image on that page, I have access to other rifles from the movie that are in way better shape and I intend to delete this image after a little while). This is what SOME movie guns look like. (Click on the image to see it up close) And no, they're not MY GUNS. I have some guns I need to clean up, but any beaters I try to clean up and keep as good as I can. But I tend to pick and choose the most pristine examples I can find of each movie gun. As you can guess, a lot of the movie guns (not the HERO pieces) are pretty beat up. We have actors and stunt persons dropping them and mishandling them all the time. Smokin' Aces

I don't own it but next time I go out, I'll buy it. My to-do list is sky-high and if I keep buying movies, I'll never bring it down. This is what is in my pile now.

  • The Whole Nine Yards/The Whole Ten Yards DVD double featture
  • Unforgiven
  • Young Guns
  • The Last Boyscout
  • Mr. & Mrs. Smith (unrated cut)
  • Starsky & Hutch
  • Daredevil (director's cut)
  • Supertroopers
  • 30 Days of Night
  • Speed
  • The Dirty Dozen
  • Flags of our Fathers
  • The Jackal
  • Absolute Power
  • The Thin Red Line
  • Tango & Cash
  • Blazing Saddles

As you can see, I'm trying not to make it any bigger until it is a least half done. But I can add one more I suppose. Almost done with Crank, than I'll do Speed, 30 Days of Night, and the Whole Yards movies. Fun. Gunmaster45 04:08, 27 November 2008 (UTC)

My thoughts on Molotov Cocktail

Don't know what your thougts are on this but I posted the message below:

Just so you know, I'm strongly against an improvised weapon like the Molotov Cocktail having it's own page. It's a bottle with gasoline in it. It's not manufactured or crafted, like any of the weapons on the other pages including things like custom swords, bows and knives.

Also no user ever needs to know, "Gee, what was the make of that Molotov Cocktail I saw in that movie?" Since IMFDB is an information resource on stuff that people intuitively would NOT already know, I feel we should not put pages on things that are improvised weapons, like "the Bride" in KILL BILL using a piece of wood with nails in it to kill Gogo Yubari.

Also would you also list the propane tanks used to blow up Zombies in DAWN OF THE DEAD as a weapon as well? They had a road flare in them so they were 'modified' like a molotov cocktail.

Since the page was made and effort was put into it, I won't complain any more, but I thought you must realize how I feel towards improvised weapons. I lump them in the same category as a crowbar (weapon used in Half life), a rock, a stick or a brick. Sure Video games use them as weapons, but they don't deserve the page that a known firearm or munition does since no one will ever wonder what country they came from, who made them, what their history or caliber is, or what version or variation is being used. IMHO

WTF? Now we have internet Flash animation webisode shorts?

Anonymous user 98.216.249.226 has created a page for Taegukgi. This is NOT the Korean war Movie of the same name, but a Flash animated short that lasts less than 60 seconds, created by an (albeit talented) fan. WTF. Though the short is quite cool, it's weird and stylized animation of round headed figures duking it out for about a minute. does it count if it's only public release is a website? I think people are pushing the boundaries of what is a legitimate title here.

The page on IMDFB. http://www.imfdb.org/index.php?title=Taegukgi

Where you can watch Taegukgi:Stagnant Fire (Stagnant Flame is the 2nd webisode) http://216.40.252.130/stagnantfire.swf

The Dark Knight

Thanks man, I'll get working on it soon. I was just starting when I saw gunny was adding shots. I stopped and started on Mail Call. Once I finish saving those shots, I'll get my DVD on. - Gunmaster45

Care to take a look at my RE:E movie page?

Since no one did this page since the DVD release, I decided to do so. I need some check ups cause I always have a hard time telling Taurus from Beretta. Also see if you can ID the Cobray M11 for me if it is one. The previous guy posted up and even I thought it was an MP7 until I looked closer. If you got the time Excalibur01

I can't be nice anymore

Someone has to draw the line. This guy Don whatever. He just posted a NEW flash animation on this site. What the hell? I've see the pics or trash that resembles pictures of guns and he thinks those are what they are? Is he high or some punk kid that thinks it's so cool that it deserves to be on this site. Sift Head and that other flash animation thing, Taegukgi. Those are pardon my language, pieces of shit that are NOT worthy of this place that some of us hold with respect. Yeah, they seem entertaining, but if we decide to let something this slide, then whose to stop from putting other flash animations that have "drawings" of guns on them because "Oh they have guns, so therefore they should be on this site". I want to remove it, but I like a majority vote instead of me acting pissed of. I'm asking everyone else their thoughts. Excalibur01 02:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

I wnat to be a mod

I've already requested to be a mod of the forums, though that place isn't as popular of talk as I thought, so I mind as well be one here Excalibur01 02:58, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

My airsoft

So what do you think of my airsoft? I know a lot of people have a bad idea about what airsoft is, so what do you think? I'm a guy who likes to show off sometimes, that's one reason why I ask since I've updated pictures on my page, but more to ask what others think, particularly people who are more into firearms. Excalibur01 10:28, 20 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, they are as heavy as they look. They have a real feel to them, but still somewhat lighter since not all of the parts are made of steel. I do play to buy a gas powered M4. It doesn't require a battery and operates by gas, so there is a working bolt and bolt catch, giving it a more realistic feel and even recoil. Excalibur01 09:52, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

Heckler & Koch UMP

I'm sorry for the picture changes I just think it would be better if I could have a same replica of a UMP 45 and a UMP 9 to show how close and what the difference is. If you don't want it fine i'll just upload on other guns.

Got it, finally :)

Finally Answering your questions

Sorry, but sometimes I miss the obvious! :) The AKM Pistol was one of several, I saw one with a painted bolt carrier. The one I photographed has a faded blued carrier. Don't know which variation was in which film. I think Mike's is the full auto gun, Harry's is the Semi auto pistol with a folding stock (Rambo 2008) registered as an SBR, but I'm not sure. So that's why I didn't mention if it was in anything or not, but I'm 100% sure that's the same type of gun. You asked previously if any of my M16s were from Iraq. That is unlikely for any armorer. All of the US Property marked M4s or M16s are being used or utilized by the military or national guard or given away to allied nations. All of our guns are lower receivers within the domestic chains of commerce, either pre-1986 transferable full auto lowers or post 86 dealer samples, none of which would be overseas or used by any government entity, whether military or law enforcement. Sometimes we "could" pick up a post 86 sample that was used by a non government entity (aka private party) like Blackwater Security in Iraq, but that's hypothetical and it hasn't happened. It's also funny that IMFDB tries to determine whether or not an M16 was the A2 or A3 variant. I don't know how some of the other rental houses get their stuff nowadays, but I would venture a guess that 95% of all the M4s or A4s are just commercially purchased barreled upper receivers, mounted on existing full auto A1 or A2 style lower receivers (built up and registered with ATF). I have rarely seen any 3 round burst guns in Movie armories, since no movie director ever uses it, so why spend the money on it. It's all smoke and mirrors and we build and rebuild guns all the time to make things look like the latest and greatest incarnation of the guns. I just converted a bunch of M16A1s into A4s for an film (spring 08) and then had to convert all of them BACK to A1 for a Vietnam movie. So most of the time it's a moot point. There are no distinctive A2s or A3s or C7s, or at least we can't tell from the rate of fire since most of the guns are "Build ups". All M16s in inventory go full auto or semi auto only. (that's as far as I've seen and I've handled and inspected literally one hundred movie M16/AR15 variants, including carbines, 9mms, fake XM177s, A1s, A2s, M4s, A4s). So I wonder, how do we reconcile the difference between the real world and the movie world? I think we should keep on doing as we are doing. Designate the difference between the A2s and A3s (etc) since that's correct in the real world and (whether intentional or not) that's what's being represented in the movies, but be aware that most of the guns are just dressed up A1s. Sorry for the longwinded post. Didn't mean to ramble. Have a happy new year MoviePropMaster2008 20:07, 3 January 2009 (UTC) BTW, I'm tickled (again) that IMFDB is the only place on the net to have a pic of this gun. :) (edit)(BTW: I will photograph a C7 for the site soon just to complete the M16 series)

Mossbergs

I'm putting up more Mossberg variants, but only those that have appeared in films. I also have some of the wooden stocked 500s (like the ones in The Way of the Gun). Which mossbergs do you want? Let me know and I'll put them on the list, but I am actively photographing more Mossbergs for the page right now anyway. Thanks. MoviePropMaster2008 22:29, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

I see what you wanted. Sure, you did fine. I thought you wanted me to cut out the 500 with heat shield on the comparison pic and replace it with the straight model, which would have taken more time. But you did great. You also cropped it just like I prefer it :) hahaha. MoviePropMaster2008 08:40, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Scarface

Do you still own Scarface? If you do, could you add a few extra shots? I recently have looked at Legions of Fate's page and it is a lot more filled out. Since a lot of people see that page, I think we kind of owe it to them to fill it out. Not that I'm forcing you to do it, just let me know if you do and you can. Thanks. - Gunmaster45

Thanks, I've been putting off Mail Call for almost a month now. Just finally uploading the season one caps. Then I'm going to do season two, which is pretty low on guns. The SNAFU dvd (which is goofs) has a LOT of guns and I'm really looking forward to it. I'm also going to link a youtube page showing the episode where Gunny goes to knob creek. Look up "Mail Call Knob Creek" if you have 20 minutes free and watch the pure awesomeness. - Gunmaster45
Nothing pisses me off more when people delete screencaps I take from a page. I think they do it because some of the shots look similair enough that they feel they should be removed. That isn't their right to decide. The person did it on The Dark Knight with the modified Glock with the shots of the Joker loading up and the flashpaper gun when it fires (the muzzle flash was very hard to catch) and he did this with the Collateral page when I noted how he missed the third guy and the muzzle flash shot with the USP in the club. Apparently anonymous users don't understand how hard our work can be. If he deletes another image, I'm banning his ass. If he returns and continues to delete images, I'm going to hunt him down and kill him. It is my right as a screencapper and an administrator. :) - Gunmaster45
Do anonymous users have a hate for my work? Apparently that guy thought my opinion was irrelavent for the site. I blocked the page for obvious reasons. I have half a mind to block him. I've always been adamant that anonymous users should not be able to edit. Like you said, at this rate that will eventually be the case. Thank god we have the ability to revert these asshole's changes. I for one can't believe he got rid of the whole faulty scope section and anything that sounded like an opinion. I was just listing goofs. What a douche bag. - Gunmaster45

RE:

Yeah, it annoyed me, too, mostly because it wasn't even that good a picture. Considering how much shit you can put on an M4 (just look at all the stuff that's included in SOPMOD), I would rather these users not set a precedent where anyone can upload a new picture of a gun we have simply because we don't have one with the exact same accessories setup as one in a particular movie. -MT2008 23:29, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

M1-C

It loads the same. The whole point of the scope being off to the left (not right), is so the clip can be loaded and ejected. Personally I hate left mounted scopes, it makes aiming akward and you usually end up using your none dominant eye. Hope I helped.

And after so long, I finally am getting shoot em up screencapped. I tried downloading VLC media to screencap it but it was too hard to use so I used my sister's 1200 dollar laptop. It screencaps higher quality so it will look great. - Gunmaster45

Your question to Gunmaster45 about the M1C

Sorry in interject here. I'm sure GM will say the same thing, but the scope are offset on these sniper rifles. They mount to the shooter's left off from the center line of the rifle. So you can still load and unload Enblocs from the top of the rifle. Here is an example I shot for you ;)

Usable pic?

I was tempted to reshoot this on a pintle mount so that I can get closer to the gun. Let me know if this format is preferable. I am still tempted to reshoot some of the Aircraft guns much closer so that we see more of the gun and less of the mount. I had to shoot it in the warehouse and digitally wipe out everything else with white (what a pain!) since I was alone and this sucker was TOO heavy to lift by myself! ;)

Beretta M9

And if it's possible, can you obtain a U.S Military issue Beretta M9, I know it's very much the same as a Beretta 92FS, but I heard there were some slight differences, and it would go great with the M9A1 you uploaded before. But if you can't get ahold of it, it's okay. The 870 and the Beretta 92FS Inox are the main things I want.

I'm not aware of any external differences, besides the fact that the M9 says "M9" instead of "92FS" on the slide. Actually, I take that back...I have seen at least one M9 that had the dot-bar sight instead of the three-dot sight. From what I read, this either is or was standard, but it's not exactly relevant because if MPM took a picture of an M9 from the side, you wouldn't be able to tell.

Anyway, the thing is...I can't imagine that there are any movies that use real military-issue M9s. I'm pretty sure all of the movies you see that have U.S. military personnel use the same Beretta 92FS (marked) pistols that are available to civilians. You already know that armorers are in the habit of dressing up M16A1s to look like A2s, or Browning M2s to look like DShKs, because they know the average moviegoer won't know the difference, so why would they go through the trouble of getting M9s just for the markings?

So if you ask me, it seems like a waste to have MPM photograph an M9. No movies use it, and there's just so much other stuff on his request list that I think this site needs way more than a picture of a Beretta M9. -MT2008 20:10, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Updates

So what did you think of my last massive update? past the initial posting on the 'obvious pages' any other updates that are required, are appreciated. :) I spoke to the armorer of True Romance and made changes that he pointed out (and also photographed the GUNS). I was pretty thrilled when I got to photograph the original Beretta Pistols (though I will have to call the armorer and double check on the movie chronology and model type again) for the movies Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. I got the original Model 19 from Lethal Weapon (though I don't know if Danny Glover keeps it in any of the other movies (I stopped watching them after LW2 when I realized the director's incredibly anti gun views). I sure hope people don't mind that I replace some of their pics. I am also trying to replace LMO's movie gun pics where I can (since they belong to Dan Shea) and frankly, I think I take better pics of the guns ... ;) Did you get to check out the XXX movie guns? :) I replaced the 629 from both films with my own shot. I still have to double check the filmography of some of the guns. When I'm photographing the guns, we're literally pulling them out of the vault like crazy and photographing them and putting them back as quick as I can. As you can tell I had a TON of help from some pretty heavy hitters in the movie Armorer crowd and I think they like the way I take pics of their stuff. Anyway, if you want me to keep on going, let me know :) MoviePropMaster2008 08:28, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the formatting advice!

Works like a charm! I fixed the 5906 page and it works great! As per the Berettas, yes, they were in a museum glass case. I just asked 'Hey! Can I take these out and photograph them?" So I did. I was very careful and put them on a Rubbermaid clear box that I brought with me and snapped away. It was less than Ideal photographic settings, since it was NOT in a studio with all the white backgrounds and special lighting rigs. I had just one working portable light and had to make do with that. I did a LOT of photoshop after the fact to clean up the pics. That I was pretty surprised that they were that beat up, but they have been used a lot and were in films as of 1986 up to the early 1990s. Anyway, sorry for my long winded post previously. You responded to me before I could post my initial comments! :) MoviePropMaster2008 08:47, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Saturday Shoot --- more pics coming --- just a heads up

cc:d' to MT2008, GM45, Alienqueen11 I'm heading to another armory to photograph some more long guns this Saturday if all goes as planned. (I'll get a new StG-44 amongst other cool stuff (like a SR-25, all tricked out, etc.) I've been photographing a lot of pistols recently. Since the last group of famous gun pics took an entire day to photograph and multiple days to 'clean up and format' (and put electronic Copyright tagging) on the images. I am also returning to Stembridge/CW to photograph a bunch of their more famous subguns/shortshotguns. I already have permission to photograph the actual McMillan TAC-50 used in S.W.A.T. As far as my own inventory, I still have to rebuild and fix some of MY guns still. I still have an M249 full stock gun that I need to photograph and a Walther MPL that needs fixing. And a bunch of Benelli M3 Super 90s in different configurations :) I want to work some more on the M16 page. If I can't get a real 733 (for example) I will try to build up an exact duplicate of one in the right configuration and then take a pic of it. Some of my older photos of M16 guns (like the 733) were build ups (i.e. just a standard gun with the barrel cut down, and not the exact configuration of the original gun type). I want exact examples of each one so that our M16 page is the definitive page of M16 types on the net. BTW: I have to go down to CW again and I will try to grab more "the Quick and the Dead" guns ... :) More handguns, especially Sharon Stone's SAA and Russell Crowe's gun (and original holster) and all the original screen used guns from 'Iron Man'. ;) I am also trying to get a ton of more famous screen used western guns for GM45's pages. (I let HIM do the honors on the Western movie pages ;) ) Just a heads up guys! :) MoviePropMaster2008 04:35, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Titles starting with 'The' ....

I am willing to start mass changing titles that start with "The" to the standard nomenclature (used by IMDB) (i.e. instead of "The Shining" (yeah I know we don't have that movie ...) it would be "Shining, The". I can't count how many people have complained to me (in person, not on the net) about that.

I have some famous armorers complaining about that ;) SO I am willing to start changing them myself. Any complaints? Seriously, if any of you are seriously offended by that, I will change them back.... no charge ;) But the last straw was some blog making fun of us because of that. :( So I am going to start changing the titles. Just wanted to give a heads up....

(edit: I've done nine titles as a test. So far, I like them, but I think MT2008 had a cool technique regarding re-directs which would allow the main page to have the fixed titles, but when you click on it, it goes to the original named page. Let me know what you think)  :)

Update on the new gun pics.... I started the new photo shoot on Say, but had to cut it short. Will reschedule and complete my massive new gun shoot either tomorrow or the next day. When I have a bunch, I start uploading them. :) But you guys are already bored with guns pics by now.MoviePropMaster2008 06:55, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Got A Project Idea For You

Think I found a movie that might be of interest for you to make a page for here; the 1997 sci-fi/horror film The Relic. It features a monster terrorizing a Chicago museum and at one point a SWAT team is sent in to try to stop the creature and in another scene survivors try to escape the museum via the sewers and I believe at least one of them is armed with some kind of shotgun. Let me know what you think. Orca1 9904 03:04, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

You might get a kick out of this

Would YOU want a handgun collection like this? The pistols on the right side belong to Syd Stembridge (he still has some stuff), and the back wall and left wall belong to Mike Papac. (And yes, the boxes on the ground are full, there is no room on the walls left. All the empty slots are for handguns that are either out for repair or out on rental. My own handgun inventory is less than half of theirs, so I'm a small fry compared to these guys. But I thought you'd get a kick out of this pic. A similar pic has been seen in articles in the past about Stembridge Gun Rentals, so it's nice to see that this room still exists, though I need a bigger wide angle lens, I can't get back far enough to even get a fraction of the room. It is massive.

Imagine if you will.......

Walking down a hallway in a warehouse, from floor to ceiling are wooden cubbyholes, in these cubby holes are jammed multiple items which comprise three specific things (either submachine gun, select fire pistol, or short barreled shotgun). I am not sure how these items are sorted but I don't care, I like it! I LOVE poking around places like this. It make me happy :) I also see some items which I will try to photograph for IMFDB in the future (recognizing some of the stuff that I have on my list to take pics of for some of the specific movie pages). I just needed to cheer myself up after hearing daily news from the new administration! Just thought I'd share it! :)

File:ArmoryWall02.jpg
Which cubbyhole do you want to stick your hand in first!? ;)

Regarding message "Re: Imagine if you will......." on MPM's talk page

The "green-looking Beretta" is a Taurus PT92 stunt gun from what I see. They typically use these for training people in gun handling who can't be trusted or for teaching disarming techniques when the gun needs to be dropped. - Gunmaster45

You so owe me ;)

It was difficult to do the gun, but I said I would and I did. Mossberg and Remington parts are NOT easily interchangeable so I am mystified as to why the armorer for Dawn of the Dead did this franken-gun in the first place?

edit - Fixed it, NOW it looks like the one in the movie. :) MoviePropMaster2008 01:19, 13 March 2009 (UTC)

Dawn of the Dead shotgun

IMFDB member Yournamehere was right about the shotgun. He pointed out that it has an aftermarket extension tube, rather than the Stock remington one, and the tube clamp is set further back on the gun. I have one of those aftermarket extended tubes (easily swappable) and the tube clamp is easily moveable. I can swap out the aftermarket tube, put the shotgun back on the photography stand and rephotograph it. Argggh. More work for me, but I am glad IMFDB user's eagle eyes caught that, since I was building a gun based on screenshots. I will try to install that stuff and reshoot the gun tonight. MPM2008 Remember, if it ain't 100% then it ain't worth doing ;)

Taking no more gun pics

apparently it is becoming more acceptable for others to create 'frankengun' photoshop jobs out of my original pics and not even give credit. Heck. I would give credit to the previously Google jacked shots that I clean up with recropping, or color correcting if I knew who the original photographer was. But that's a minor point. My intent all along was to replace all jacked images with official licensed images. It's a lot of hard work and only a very few (like you) even seem to appreciate it. (plus you're way more tolerant of the inevitable flood of conflicting page styles and info from new (and some anonymous) users ... inevitable as the site gets more recognition). I'm on hiatus for taking pics of guns for a bit. Working hard for IMFDB should be enjoyable, not irritating. :( A break is good thing. MPM

Re: Jacked images

Oh, and look who it is that's been doing it, too...our good friend Cutaway. I've warned him about a whole bunch of things before (not the least of which includes uploading insane amounts of images we don't need). You think we should take harsher action this time? -MT2008 18:31, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

OK, will do. But Cutaway seems to have a remarkable lack of regard for formatting and other stuff. He's also in the habit of ignoring requests. -MT2008 17:59, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

THANKS! for the note of support

It was appreciated. Well I am back from a pretty tough assignment (over a week of 14 hour days and nothing but grief) Regarding the break, I actually didn't know WHO did WHAT on the so called franken guns. I was not really paying attention for months to the M16 page and only concentrated on the AP74 22 clones at the bottom. I didn't even know that some guy (Kin93) out of Hong Kong had made so many franken guns out of my pics. But after a really BAD week (which I will go into on a general note later) I scanned up on the M16 page and saw literally a BUNCH of Franken M16 pics. I thought "WTF?!!" It wasn't so bad, in just it was just the topper of a really bad week (where someone in the real world took a custom shotgun I built, replaced the buttstock, and then showed it off to various art directors as a gun 'HE' built even though I did 99.99% of the work). So it was kinda just the straw that bent (not broke! :) ) the Camel's back for that time. I KNEW I had to take a break, and I sure felt better when I put a stop to the 'picture requests'. like a weight was taken off my back. (Also I was getting a little TOO wound up over the wave of new anonymous/newbie users whose gun knowledge is only airsoft/Video Games making wrong edits on all the pages. hahahaha. It was bound to happen and is the risk we all take on an open wiki page. Anyway THANKS for the note. I am now motivated to photograph real versions of the Franken guns, also so that we (IMFDB) don't get accused of 'creating virtual/fictional weapons' on the Internet.) Hope you've been doing well. best regards MPM

Edit MPM2008, When you come back, I think you should see this:[1] Okay. It's a Mark 23 page on Wikipedia. :)  ????????? MPM2008

Molotov from "Hostage"

While I do agree that this is a weapon, this is the Internet Movie FIREARMS Database. Molotovs don't qualify. Sorry.

I'm confused here

I may have forgotten so I need help. How was it that you ended up uploading this pic? http://www.imfdb.org/index.php?title=Image:KahrCW9.jpg Thanks MoviePropMaster2008 01:44, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Image rewrites

Well I am against re-uploads for several reasons. I put on an electronic tag (i.e. an electronic watermark) but only recently. I am concerned that some of the images are right click 'saved' and when they are reloaded, the older 'saved' image overwrites the version with the newer electronic (copyright IMFDB) info that was invisible and only viewable through special software. Just a thought, since I don't have them on all my pics and I haven't gone through and redone all the old pics. Other than that issue, it's just stupid unless they want to somehow take credit for the pic (which seems to be a temptation for some members of IMFDB). MPM2008

k98k better than the smle?

ok I won't edit anymore. what do you think about what I said?

if you study it ,you will find that the Mauser is better than the Lee Enfield.

Finally replaced some of the old images

Two tone Jericho 941. All of our Jericho (original pics) are of the original 941. I don't have any of the 941FS, which seems to be the model which is used whenever they have two toned Jericho pistols - the FS has the decocker on the frame, not the slide. I'll check around to see if anyone has a 941FS model.

Heckler & Koch HK91-A3. I hated that jacked image of the A3 model with a 'custom flash hider and barrel' it was a non-standard configuration that no one would ever see in a movie.

Winchester 1894 - .30-30. Is this a saddle ring carbine? There's no marking on it other than Winchester Model 1894 - .30-30 Winchester and there doesn't seem to be a hole for the saddle ring, but it looks to be the same

FINALLY replaced that jacked image of a Benelli M3 Super 90!! I will also have a version of the M3 with ghost ring sights and the shorter pistol grip version soon

Finally replaced that 'place holder' picture of the black Jericho 941. I was sitting, staring at a 941 for weeks, but I didn't have time to set up the photographic lighting rig. This one is way better than the previous one.

I'm just doing pics as I can, not rushing out and killing myself trying to get weird or wacky configurations.  :) MoviePropMaster2008 18:07, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Redirecting

Go to "Move" at the top of the page. It is WAY easier than making a new page and writing "#REDIRECT" and then linking it, which I'm assuming is what you do? BTW, glad to see you making pages, I haven't seen your work in a while. - Gunmaster45

Thanks, I hope you do upload some new shots for "I Am Legend". Bunni's caps on the page are too small IMO and some of the shots are jacked from Legions of Fate's site, which isn't cool. CTone has the right to be pissed if he finds his images on here. BTW, I linked The Hills Have Eyes so if someone searches it with the "THE" first it will redirect there. - Gunmaster45
I usually only replace shots when they are low res or really small. In I Am Legend's case, I see the caps as kind of being both. So I'd recommend you replace them. Besides, it is easier to screencap a movie if you take every cap necessary and never think "Oh, that one's already on the site", because then it is easier to miss things. And CTone does a great job on his site, although he doesn't always capture every gun in the movie as the users on IMFDB do. He's better for commentary, which I find quite insightful. I look forward to seeing IAL. - Gunmaster45
It's cool that you're doing new shots, but...how did you miss that really good close-up of the Mark 23's handle when it's sitting in the door of his SUV? -MT2008 00:52, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, it's just my opinion, but I figure that's pretty much the best shot of the gun in the whole movie. I remember people on HKPRO used to argue over whether the gun was a USP or a Mark 23 before someone posted that exact shot from the DVD.
Also, just an FYI...the civilian Mark 23 isn't called the "SOCOM"; it's just called the Mark 23. You can see the picture of the gun we have, it just says "HK Mark 23" on the slide. -MT2008 00:59, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Not to be a pain, but do you think you could grab just TWO more shots from I Am Legend? We have images showing how it is equiped with a TA31F ACOG and a Pentagon light, do you think you could snap a shot of the false reticule and when he uses the light in the dark house so those sections can be filled out? I'd do it myself but I don't own the film, I just rented it one time. Thanks. - Gunmaster45

WTF?

http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/Beretta_M92_%22Samurai_Edge%22 This is a dedicated gun page to a firearm that belongs to the Resident Evil VG universe only. Do you think this gun deserves a separate page? Being that it is a weapon that only exists in either airsoft or the VG series Resident Evil and is based on the 92FS or Elite alreadY? Your thoughts are appreciated. MPM2008

Thanks

I had no idea that this guy plagiarized the entire page from another site. Yep, that's a sure fire DELETE in my book. Thanks so much for the input. MPM2008

Thanks

Thanks you for the compliment! I didn't like the older Taurus images. That low resolution Stainless model pic bugged me for a long time. Also movies change the components so now that I have the guns (or easy access to them) I can swap out items to make the gun look identical to the movie versions. It's nice to know that folks notice ;) BTW: do you think we're spoiled regarding gun pics. I remember the bad old days when we had so many jacked AIRSOFT images! ugh! LOL. MoviePropMaster2008 03:26, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Did someone ask for a Mossberg Pic?

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Mossberg 590 Combat model (Parkerized) with 500AT wood forearm and stock - 12 gauge

I could have sworn that someone, someplace requested that I photograph a Mossberg 590 shotgun (parkerized version) with a 500AT wooden furniture for some movie but I can't remember now what it was for. Well, here it is! :) I actually bought the AT wood to put on one of my 590s for the pic so I sure hope that a movie used this configuration somewhere :) best regards MoviePropMaster2008 03:26, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks so much!

Yes, now I remember! Wow, I even made contributions to that page, but I forgot all about it and was searching through my requests to see who asked for a 590 in that configuration. Argghhh. I must be dyslexic or something! Those weren't AT stocks, but 500C stocks. I made the change to the Dead Presidents page to reflect that. AT has the vertical riot grooves. Sometimes my brain just doesn't work! Thanks again! You are too kind re: the photography compliment.MoviePropMaster2008 03:45, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Calico Weapons page

Well I've been busy, photographing every Calico Variant I can think of (or that is available to me). The Calicos are probably the least photographed weapon on the Internet and a lot of the web based information pages on the Calico are either wrong or lame. IMFDB will soon be the only place where a lot of these variants are seen (well at least via a cursory Google search). Tell me what you think of the page and if you see a Calico on a movie page that is NOT listed, I would appreciate the help! :) best regards MoviePropMaster2008 06:02, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Any old gun page will do!

Cutaway is not the only one doing it. New members are starting to post gun pages on whatever gun they think is cool, regardless of whether they appeared in anything or not. I'm tempted to start giving them a deadline to list a film, television show, anime, VG in which this firearm appears ..... or else I am DELETING their page. I am also tempted to delete the pages (not the images but just the page) of those bizarre Cutaway experimental guns that don't appear in anything (Like the Siamese Tromix which is a ONE OFF experimental gun from some custom gun maker in the SouthEastern U.S.). to be fair I will also have to DELETE my own Browning Pro-9 page, since I don't think it has appeared in anything yet, even though the images are of blank adapted guns in active armorer inventory. Should I keep pages for guns that are (a) blank adapted and (b) already in active rental inventory of SOME armory? The chances of them appearing in a future project is far greater than these obscure foreign or experimental guns. I look forward to your opinion on this. MoviePropMaster2008 20:15, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Bravo

Thank you for getting rid of those rediculous movie & game templates, that was a great move. Orca1 9904 02:16, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, been meaning to do some of those for a long time now, and I just scored a subscription to Blockbuster Total Access so I decided to start getting some of my to-do list sorted out. Pitty you can only get videos with that instead of games though. I also have more that I plan to work on using this, including the anime preceeding Patlabor: The Movie 2. Orca1 9904 04:22, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

I Am Legend

The page looks great now, finally complete! BTW, thanks for removing the dumbass templates Dragon put on all the pages. Also, are you ever going to join the forum? You're a main user here, you should check out the forum. - Gunmaster45

Why do people forget Category:Movie?

Actually sometimes I don't mind that they do forget Categorizing their pages. Some of the pages suck so bad that I want them to completely fall off the radar and not embarrass IMFDB ;) MPM2008

RedHeat link

Sorry about that. I forgot and linked the gun title. I will try really hard not to mess that up again :) MoviePropMaster2008 21:21, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Podbyrin

Unfortunately it is a detailed copy of the pistol, made by a gunsmith fan of the movie built up from a 357 DE. It is a live firing pistol and adapted for hollywood blanks. Since i KNOW it is not a screen used pistol from Red Heat, but it may be a screen used pistol for V.I.P., should I remove it? I took a pic of it because it was 99% accurate (everything but the trigger guard) and I believed it to be the best pic of the Podbyrin on the net. Anyway, I'm glad you like it :) MoviePropMaster2008 21:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Honoring Actors who have passed away

Since the news of David Carradine's death :( I was cruising around IMFDB and I noticed a nice touch to Charlton Heston's page. Someone put a photo of him, not a screenshot, in which it simply stated, "Charlton Heston: 1923 - 2008" I wanted to do something similar to Brandon Lee's page (1965-1993) :( , but I also thought that it would be nice (but completely optional) to put a DOB-DOD listing on actors who have passed away. I was going to do one for PhoenixEnt's page for Morris Ankrum the actor, I was going to put (1896-1964) but I figured I would check first. Also I thought it would be nice to know which of our famous actors have passed on. Thoughts anyone? I'm not going to do any sort of mass campaign to do so, but to know that no one else has objections would be nice.  :) MPM2008

Gran Torino

I'm getting it for my birthday on the 27th of this month so I'll try to get it done by that time. - Gunmaster45

template

Thanks but PhoenixEnt designed the original template. I am just playing around with it to try to see what format seems best, and boy is it hard. I sure hope we all agree on something :) Thanks for the note, though. I am hoping my suggestions for the final version of the template will be instituted or something close, but I think the MODS should try to agree on something that we all think will suit the different pages well. Thanks. MPM2008

Hey, Thanks for the good word. I am just part of the group that was thinking a little outside the IMFDB box. The template will be a great addition to IMFDB looks once it is all ratified between the Admins on the layout of the columns. -Phoenixent

Standardize Template Layout

Hi, As we are moving forward with the new layout on the Guns and Actors pages. We need to finalize a standard layout for the Template. We have been changing gun pages over and they do look better but everyone has their own style. Dates for instance some are on the right side some on the left, some have the most current movie at the top and some have the oldest. Then we have other issues like the headers are different from one poster to another. We need to fix these issues now before we have a ton of double work to do. Please give you feedback on pages completed like the M1911 pistol series and the Steyr AUG so we can have a standard on these pages. Thanks - Phoenixent

Template

Thanks for the note. To the mods: Though my own preference is strongly towards chronological order, I can accede to the wishes of the majority. I do like the format of Title First, before actor. Please note all, in the Steyr AUG page that the title, then character, then actor template, dovetails nicely into the other genres (television) but also Anime and Video games. Since there is no Character in some and no Actor in Anime or Videgame, I think this order maintains the same look from Film all the way down to VG. Thanks and please look at the page to see what I was referring to. Thanks again. MoviePropMaster2008 04:27, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Updated Template

Thanks to everyone for the response. I have changed the first entry in the 1911 page to a blend of both mine, MPM and MT2008 which looks very nice right now. As to the other suggestions on lines for each entry I have posted samples at Talk:Test Template Page. The third sample looks the best as in not quite as busy as the others. The colors can be changed to a lighter gray or blue if that need to be changed to make it a little more eye appealing. It looks like we are getting close to a standard on this pretty quick. As for added actors using the same weapon I have always included them on the listing instead of trying to place multiple actors on one entry that way it has less clutter. Thanks on your input on this. - Phoenixent

True Lies

I've seen your True Lies page on the site for a very long time and you did an excellent job with it. It's one of my all time favorite movies. But I noticed both your DVD and mine put out some low-res squish images that look like some bizzare widescreen. I was wondering if I could re-do the page with specially treated images? I tried it with a shot of Arnie firing his Ruger P90 and it looks a little better:

Error creating thumbnail: File missing
Granted the image isn't blu-ray quality, but it looks better right?

Let me know. It seems like I've been re-doing a lot of other people's old pages lately, mainly because I saved these movies on my list for last. - Gunmaster45

the Hills have Eyes redirect

I think it needs to be fixed. The part Category:Movie should be removed prior to the redirect and then amended later. After redirect we can put the Category":Movie part. Now the system thinks that there are two movies, one called "The Hills Have Eyes" sorted in the "T" section and "Hills Have Eyes, The" in the "H" Section. And I can't remove the Category:Movie part from the original redirected page. the other redirects were done like this. Can you fix it? I can't figure out how to fix it. Thanks MoviePropMaster2008 07:25, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Hills have eyes

Thanks. I just noted it to you because I didnt' want to delete if you created it. The only way, it appears, to clear a ((category:Movie)) code from a redirected page is to delete it and create it from scratch. I've found that the re-directed page must be blank or uncategorized lest the blank page show up in the alphabetical listing. This was done several times intentionally with titles like Raiders of the lost ark, where someone input 'indiana jones and the raiders of the lost ark' so that it grouped in with all of the other films and yet re-directed correctly to 'raiders of the lost ark' as well as having an entry in the 'r' section as well.  :) Thanks. I've been pretty busy so I've not been that active on IMFDB recently. Hope everything is still going well :) best regards MPM2008

RE: Happy Birthday

Thanks. Also, I got Gran Torino screencapped last night and am going to upload the screencaps now. After watching it, I have to say it is now one of my favorite movies. - Gunmaster45

Thanks. - Gunmaster45

I'm back briefly

Just dealing with a bunch of Indies who want guns... And as you well know, sometimes the production has no idea what they want ... and when they want it. Ugh! RE Incomplete Category

No problem, Thank Vangelis as well for making a incomplete template in addition :) --AdAstra2009 05:44, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Alien vs. Predator: Requiem

I did a bit of a re-vamp on the AvP:R page. Nothing personal; just thought it would be better to post some improved screencaps with the correct aspect ratio, which is about 2.25:1 (instead of the 2:1 that yours had, which makes them look crushed horizontally). -MT2008 22:50, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Nah, I'm still using VLC Media Player. However, there's a setting on VLC that allows you to change the Prefix of the screencaps when they're sent to your "My Pictures" folder, so that they won't all have "vlcsnap" on them. Because I've taken so many screencaps for this site, and because there's only a finite number of 5-digit numbers, I started to have issues with screencaps having the same File Name when I uploaded them. Better to ditch the "vlcsnap" prefix and get one that's movie-specific.
Most of the screencaps on pages you've worked on look a bit "crushed" horizontally. It's most likely because your media player (whatever you use) has the aspect ratio set too low. The previous AvPR images you uploaded had an aspect ratio of 2:1. A better ratio is about 2.2:1 or 2.3:1, depending on what your player allows. -MT2008 23:19, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

RE:

Basically, it turns out that there may be some legal issues involved. I really can't say a whole lot more than that, but I'm trying to get to the bottom of the matter. In the meantime, the pictures, and any references to the company (you'll notice I deleted your post on my Talk Page) by name, have to go. I realize this seems strange, but please trust me on this. -MT2008 03:41, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Actually, I really don't know what I'm doing in this case, and I'm worried that I may have gotten IMFDB into trouble. Or I might also be over-reacting a bit. It's just kind of hard to be sure right now, so to protect us, I'm taking precautions. I will figure out exactly what's going on, though. -MT2008 04:00, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Template Layout

Hi Everyone, Now that I am back let's talk about the page layout template. On the forum we had one item brought up about the chronological order being reversed. Also another item was brought up about putting lies or boxing in the information. As admin it is up to us to police the site and make a decision that is agreed upon by the majority of admins and then implemented. Let's all go back to the Talk:Test Template Page and nail these last issues down. As we talk about it pages have been created and might need to be corrected so there is a standard look to all the gun and actor pages. Thanks for you input and help on the. - Phoenixent

Re:Announcement 1

The sporterized version has double set triggers used to lighten the trigger pull to make shots more accurate.

Info on sporterized version :After the World War I, the Treaty of Versailles left Germany extremely constricted in terms of military power. Civilians were not allowed to have any use of standard military weapons or ammunition. Since the 8 x 57 IS round was so stout and great for hunting, people did not want to give up on it, so a redesign of the cartridge was made for the civilian market and the 8 x 60 S accommodate the new longer case.

The also rare 8 x 64 S cartridge offers a comparable rechambering option for Mauser Gewehr 98 and Karabiner 98k rifles sporting 8 mm S-bores. Due to its larger case capacity the 8 x 64 S chambering offers better ballistic performance than the 8 x 60 S. Some custom rifles were made using Mauser 98's and rechambering them for the 9 x 57 Mauser.

Since the purpose for these rifles was hunting and sporting, the bolt was professionally bent down, gradually the bent bolt became the standard and replaced the older straight bolt (though that was of course not always the case). The standard military sights were replaced by a 100 m sight, along with a flip-up on the rear sight for 200 m. The military stocks were replaced by newer ones that did not include the extra piece of stock for the bayonet lug.

Today these sporter rifles are extremely rare and the 8 x 60 and 8 x 60 S, 8 x 64 and 8 x 64 S and 9 x 57 Mauser cartridges are nearly obsolete, as only few mainstream ammunition manufacturers along with some other smaller companies continue to produce them. When correct ammunition is used in a converted rifle, a 8 x 60 (S), 8 x 64 (S) or 9 x 57 Mauser modified Gewehr 98 can be an extremely potent and inexpensive long-range big-game rifle.

Also, many Gewehr 98 rifles acquired as trophies by Allied forces during the war and brought to the US were converted to the 8mm-06 wildcat cartridge, a modification of the original 8 x 57 IS chambering to 8 x 63 S to accommodate the use of common and inexpensive surplus .30-06 Springfield cartridges, with their 7.62 mm (.30 caliber) bullets replaced by 8 mm (.323 caliber) bullets. Such conversions are indistinguishable from unmodified rifle without careful examination, and can be quite dangerous if fired with the shorter 8 x 57 mm ammunition, as the cartridge case will stretch to fit the elongated chamber and possibly rupture in the process, spraying the shooter with leaked propellant gas. However, the Mauser 98 action is designed specifically to direct gas away from the shooter in the event of a case rupture. - Kenny99 03:26, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Re:

Thanks for reminding me. You can probably leave it. I'm planning to re-post the other pictures in about another week or so. It's really only the Public Enemies pictures that got us into trouble, not the others, so I'll probably restore the rest at some point. I'm only waiting to see if the situation has quieted down. -MT2008 14:09, 4 August 2009 (UTC)

(here is a note I've been posting around IMFDB)

I recently had the unpleasant experience of having some of the performers being insulted in some of our movie pages see what some of the IMFDB members write. there are some pretty condescending remarks regarding horrible grips, gun stance, bad gun discipline and blinking while shooting. I'm trying to promote the website and it's embarrassing to see actors getting insulted for pretty trivial reasons. What are your thoughts regarding this?

See below:

I'm asking all members to stop with the sarcastic comments in the screencap descriptions Too many members feel it's funny to be extremely sarcastic about actor's shooting stance, their blinking, their pistol grips. Only if it's so over the top as for the average person to notice, then don't keep on harping on it. Most actors are given only a bare amount of time to train, if at all. Many times the editor picks the worst take for pistol grip, but best take for other reasons like acting. Also much of the blame falls on the director. Some directors don't want to be bothered trying to train the actors and don't allow us armorers to even give them more training than the minimum safety training. People in the industry check out this website, and some think we're a bunch of obnoxious kids. I am not happy when people in 'the biz' look at the site and scoff at the snarky remarks. Some of them are the actual actors being insulted. We can always put in criticism, but IMFDB members going forward going to criticize a film, should try to do so in a scholarly manner or not at all. Thanks for your cooperation MoviePropMaster2008 05:54, 4 October 2009 (UTC)

whoa

Your edits are completely conflicting with my edits and crashing my updates. If you want to change all the Cruiser pics, go ahead, but let me know. THanks. MoviePropMaster2008 06:00, 5 October 2009 (UTC) (edit) WOW you're fast. Show off! ;) You finished the pages before I could get to them.... :)

Mariner cruiser

I'll try to take a pic of a Mariner cruiser soon. I vaguely remember you asking me for a Remington 870 with black synthetic riot furniture. Was it you? I photographed one and was going to upload it but wasn't sure where it was needed. Thanks. MoviePropMaster2008 06:05, 5 October 2009 (UTC)

Remington 870 with black stocks

Well here you go. I won't make any edits with this image until you're done with it ;)

OK, i think I've got a workaround

You can download the old version of the image file by clicking on the date the file was uploaded, then you get the original image. Download that image and re-upload it. For some reason the revert buttons aren't working. I did try and undo changes on pages and that was working for me OK. So FYI MPM's images aren't lost, the revert function just isn't working for some reason - I'll have my network admins take a look. WikiSysop 00:11, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Looks like you figured out my workaround for the moment. The network admins are working on tracking down the bug, it may have been caused by the recent server move. The network admins username is Unixy, you may see them playing with images - reverting and uploading - don't ban them! They're just testing it out. Thanks much! bunni 01:29, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
Man, it's too bad that loser came back and screwed with the images. When we banned him the first time, I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he just had troubles with English or something, but now it's clear that he is an out-and-out vandal. Sucks what happened. Anything I can do? -MT2008 01:51, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
