The New Template

I think it should be like this:

The Uzi Submachine gun has appeared in the following:'

The layouts below are the type being used at this time on several pages. It will be the standard layout for now. The Note spacing has been increased. -Phoenixent

I prefer sample #1. #1 looks really professional and organized.-Oliveira 15:39, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks that is one for #1 and one for #2. -Phoenixent

Sorting

Part of the reason I like the idea of tables is that I think it will encourage us to SORT movies on gun/actor pages, which is a much better and more organized way of doing things. I think we should arrange all tables by the date of the movie/TV show/video game/whatever, and then by title. Though maybe titles would be simpler, but what do you guys think? -MT2008 02:24, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I would sort by date as you can see when the weapon came in to use and on the actors page the weapons used over their career from beginning to end. The many thing is to get to a standard as soon as possible so we don't have pages done then have to redo them. -Phoenixent

Narrowing Down

As I've made clear, I really like the box column style template (sample #2), so my vote of course goes to that. You have to fill in every column with something though or else the columns have holes in them that look bad. So if an actor is unknown put "Unknown" in and if there are no notes, put "None" in that column. I think the whole reverse chronological order makes sense, since it is also how IMDb organizes their movies. To see examples of the format I prefer in use, see SIG-Sauer P220 pistol series (although some boxes were emptied and my computer crapped out before I could fix them) for a gun page and Jeffrey Dean Morgan for an example of an actor page. - Gunmaster45

I vote on Sample numbah 2 as well. I also agree with John that we should fill the empty spaces.-Oliveira 22:51, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I pretty much agree with what we've been doing (box style and dates going in reverse chronological order, not like on the Steyr AUG page). But as for filling in every column, I do think the "Note" column should only be used if the weapon has been modified from its factory-standard appearance or is distinctive in some way (i.e. pointing out that an M16A1 is fitted with an A2's hand guards, or describing a finish that is different from factory black or whatever else is standard). -MT2008
"WE" as in you and some others ;) I don't like Reverse Chrono for the reasons I've stated. I noticed that NOT doing reverse Chrono is not even listed as an option. MoviePropMaster2008 02:32, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
I made this post before we talked more about this on the forum and I even realized that there was any dissent. :) But yes, if anyone DOES disagree with reverse-chronological order, please do mention it here. This is the place to make your voice heard (one of the places, anyway...) -MT2008
Okay so we will wait for the others to state their opinion and then it will be a done deal. After we standardize this format we can move forward with this project. John has done some actor pages already and we will incorporate the layout he has made with any other mods that come from this. Sample #2 is fine and a reverse chronological order on both the guns and actor pages. -Phoenixent
