Machine gun
After reviewing the movie I think I've discovered a machine gun not featured in the article When Bond leaves the warhouse during the gunfight he is stopped by a Locque henchman firing what I believe is a MG. I cant identify it 100%, but judging by the brief screens I have of the scene in question I'd say its a german. MG34 or MG42. I'll be uploading the screens in a few days. - User "Ben41" beat me too it and uploaded screens of the MG42/34 in question. Thanks man :) Dudster32 13:57, 6 July 2012 (CDT)
Biathlon rifle, too loud?
Brief question: The "Biathlon rifle" Kriegler is seen using is a .22 long right? Then how come it makes such a fecking loud noise when firing? :P Dudester32 (talk) 15:57, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
- According to wikipedia, .22LR didn't become the standard for biathlon until 1978, just three years before release. It's entirely possible the rifle they had on hand was still chambered in a larger round. --Funkychinaman (talk) 22:08, 10 May 2014 (EDT)
- You might be right. I dont know anything about biathlon rifles except I know one when I see one. Caliber is another question though. I'm do some more google-jutsu and see if I can find the exact model like in the movie. Might get lucky! Dudester32 (talk) 06:59, 12 May 2014 (EDT)
- After watching the movie again I feel 99% sure the rifle is a .22. When Kriegler reloads you can (sometimes) see a tiny little brass cartridge which is way too small for the older Biathlon rifles. In the second screenshot of the rifle (in the article) you can see the numerous holes for .22 magazines in the bottom of the rifle. For some reason they aren't filled with spare mags. Thirdly the ejector "hole" (not sure what the technical term is) seems to small for anything but .22. Dudester32 (talk) 07:27, 12 May 2014 (EDT)
- It looks like a .22 to me as well. It's just a bit funny watching the huge guy trying to kill James Bond with a .22.

- Heard that! Dudester32 (talk) 12:22, 12 May 2014 (EDT)
- I still havent found out the name/model of the rifle though, which is kinda annoying. I'm gonna try and ask in a military-group I'm with on facebook. Dudester32 (talk) 11:56, 13 May 2014 (EDT)
Unknown machine gun
