Help! is the second full length feature starring the Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr,) directed by Richard Lester, following A Hard Day's Night, also directed by Lester. Unlike their previous feature, which was more of a day-in-the-life mockumentary, Help! is much more of a spy spoof. In it, the Beatles, Ringo Starr in particular, are chased by a band of cultists from an unnamed eastern cult, because Ringo is wearing their sacrificial ring. The cult is joined by a mad scientists, who wants the ring so he can rule the world. They're chased across England, to Switzerland, and finally to the Bahamas before the end. Being a Beatles movie, several Beatles songs are mixed in between the action scenes.
The following guns were used in the motion picture Help! (1965):
Handguns
Webley Mk V
Professor Foot (Victor Spinetti) uses a Webley Mk V when he intervenes during the cultist assault on the Beatles' residence. Foot would later turn the revolver at the Beatles in order to get the ring off Ringo's finger. However, the revolver misfires and Foot had to make a hasty retreat.
Enfield No.2 Mk.1*
Professor Foot is later armed with an Enfield No.2 Mk.1* revolver with spurless hammer. (Maybe he couldn't afford that Luger.)
Walther P38
Ahme (Eleanor Bron) rescues the Beatles from Professor Foot with a pink Walther P38, which matches her outfit.
Rifles
L1A1 Self Loading Rifle
British soldiers on Salisbury Plain are armed with L1A1 Self Loading Rifles to protect the Beatles while the band recorded their new album.
Lee-Enfield No.1 MkIII* rifle
A Lee-Enfield No.1 MkIII* rifle is used by either Professor Foot or his hapless assistant Algernon (Roy Kinnear) to capture Ringo in the Bahamas.
Lee-Enfield No.4 rifle
Buckingham Palace guards parade with Lee-Enfield No.4 rifles.
M1 Garand
The M1 Garand is the primary rifle used by both sides in this film, including the Bahamian police.
Machine Guns
Browning M1919A4 machine gun
Browning M1919A4 machine guns were seen mounted on the British Army's Centurion tanks on Salisbury Plain.
L7 Machine Gun
One of the British soldiers guarding the Beatles on the Salisbury Plain is armed with an L7 GPMG.
Heavy Weapons
Panzerschreck
The cultists use many antiquated weapons, including a Panzerschreck (minus the shield.) They use one to take out the Centurion the Beatles are escaping on.
Royal Ordnance L7
The Centurions are armed with Royal Ordnance L7 105mm guns. The tanks fire several times during their defense of the Beatles on Salisbury Plain.
QF 2.95 inch Mountain Gun
The cultists use QF 2.95 inch Mountain Guns on Salisbury Plain.
Brass cannon
The most antiquated gun the cultists have at their disposal is an antique brass cannon, fired a few times on Salisbury Plain.
