Again: Just my opinion but I think the .30 caliber MG was the origin for this blaster and unless anyone has any contrary evidence or opinions I will update the article to include this. I've been trying to figure out what weapon the Bounty Hunter "Zuckuss" (Empire Strikes Back) uses. In the screencap below you can see several details but nothing conclusive as to specific model. From what I can see it is a heavily modified bolt-action rifle, possibly a "sporterized" version of an old war rifle such as the SMLE. The magazine looks a bit like a SMLE but not exactly. There also appears to be a semi-auto pistol magazine inserted just in front of the magazine..(probably to make it look beefier). The barrel is shorter than a regular old time war rifle and it has a pistolgrip with the rest of the stock removed. The wooden forward part is also chopped. At the end of the barrel you can see some old fittings, probably for some sort of muzzle brake or flash hider like the one on the Lee-Enfield Jungle Carbine. At first I thought it was a Jungle Carbine or a Lee Enfield Sporter, but the magazine on the movie version is not lined up the same way as the real life weapons. Any guesses? Ax-108 "Ground Buzzer" surface-defense blaster cannon
So according to "Wookiepedia", this blaster shown below is the "Ax-108 "Ground Buzzer" surface-defense blaster cannon". From my perspective it looks like a .30 caliber machine gun, though wookiepedia does not state any origin. Again: Just my opinion but I think the .30 caliber MG was the origin for this blaster and unless anyone has any contrary evidence or opinions I will update the article to include this.
