The '''Manurhin MR-73''' is a French solid-frame, swing out cylinder, double-action revolver. The barrel is cold-hammered forged, which is unusual for a revolver, and makes for a very strong and high quality weapon. It also makes for a more expensive weapon. There is the usual flat mainspring operating the hammer, but there is a separate flatspring controlling the trigger. This second spring operates on a roller to decrease friction, moves the trigger forward after firing, and moves up the safety block to prevent the hammer's nose from inadvertently setting off a round. The end result is a very smooth and consistent trigger which aids the shooter tremendously; also making for a very accurate revolver. The MR-73 is also capable of shooting 9mm Parabellum by exchanging cylinders. The MR-73 to this day is utilized by the French GIGN and RAID. They are fairly scarce in the United States. The Manurhin MR-73 is a French solid-frame, swing out cylinder, double-action revolver. As of 2021, Beretta USA is in charge of importing them to the US.
