The following weapons were used in the film Blazing Saddles:
Single Action Army
As with most westerns, near everyone in the film carries a Single Action Army revolver. Sheriff Bart (Cleavon Little) carries a 5 1/2" Artillery with a nickel finish and pearl grips, while Jim (Gene Wilder) carries a pair of nickel plated 7 1/2" Cavalry revolvers.
Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbine
Despite being anachronistic (although it doesn't really matter in this film, since at one point it jumps from 1874 to 1974), some of the townspeople are seen loading up Winchester 1892 Saddle Ring Carbines when Bart (Cleavon Little) introduces himself as the new Sheriff. Several are also seen in the gun rack at the Sheriff's Department.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
Some of Taggart's (Slim Pickens) men are seen using 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns with exposed hammers.
Springfield 1903 Prop Gun
The dancers during Lili Von Schtupp's (Madeline Kahn) performance fire prop firing Springfield 1903 rifles into the air. Later on, German WWII soldiers are also seen with them, which is factually incorrect enough to not require comment.
Trapdoor Springfield 1873
Two Civil War soldiers in the "bad guy" lineup have Trapdoor Springfield 1873 rifles.
Remington 1866 Derringer
Hedley Lamarr (Harvey Korman) carries a nickel plated Remington 1866 Derringer as his sidearm in the film.
Flintlock Musket
Two Arabian "bad guys" are seen holding Afghan-style Flintlock Musket while waiting in line.
Blazing Saddles Television Pilot "Black Bart"
The following guns were used in the failed TV show spin-off of the film:
Remington 1875 (mock-up)
Sheriff Bart (Louis Gossett Jr.) carries a Remington 1875 visually mocked up to resemble an older and cheaper Remington 1858 New Army.
Single Action Army
Sheriff Bart (Louis Gossett Jr.) tries out a gun salesman's 4 3/4" Quickdraw Single Action Army with a nickel finish and pearl grips throughout the episode. At the end, Howard Johnson claims he bought the gun but is trick by Bart into trading it for his piece of junk "pig gun". Jim carries two blued 5 1/2" Artillery Single Action Armies as well. The bad guy in the episode also carries a 7 1/2" Cavalry version.
Winchester 1892
Several Winchester 1892 rifles are seen on the gun rack in the Sheriff's Department. The bad guy and his men are also seen firing them at the protagonists in the woods.
Remington 1866 Derringer
Lili Von Schtupp is seen using Remington 1866 Derringer to save Bart at the end of the episode.
12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun
A candy store owner holds up a thieving little boy with a 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotgun before Sheriff Bart (Louis Gossett Jr.) intervenes.
