Chiefly a parody of The Fugitive (1993), Leslie Nielsen stars as Ryan Harrison, a concert violinist who finds himself a murder suspect after awakening next to a dead body. The film was directed by Pat Proft, who had written or co-written many of the films in the genre, including The Naked Gun trilogy and three films in the Scary Movie film series. The cast included Richard Crenna, Kelly LeBrock, Melinda McGraw, and Michael York.

Smith & Wesson Model 659

When Ryan is in the fishing store in the village of Hilltop (famous for having "more police per capita than any other place in the world") he encounters CHP Commissioner Hannigan (Maury Hannigan, who was the real-life commissioner of the CHP from 1989 to 1995 and the former host of Real Stories of the Highway Patrol), who can be seen drawing what appears to be an older-model Smith & Wesson 659 without an ambidextrous safety.
