Welcome to IMFDB
Before you do any editing please take the time to read the Rules, Standards and Principles. This is a very important document that explains how this website is setup as well as telling you what is and isn't allowed. If it is determined by an admin that you have not read these rules, your account will be suspended. Continued non-compliance may result in a permanent ban. After that you should also read the IMFDB Screencapping Guide and the IMFDB Style Guide to familiarize yourself with the image and formatting requirements for pages you create.
There are a number of pages that desperately need your help. You can find these Incomplete pages here.
If you have any questions, feel free to post them here but make sure to sign your post by typing --~~~~.
Finally, IMFDB has a forum set up here that is only available to registered members. There is lots of good stuff to see there. If you would like to join the forum, please post HERE and an account will be created for you.
Now, HAPPY EDITING! bunni (talk) 14:56, 23 July 2014 (EDT)
Use "Show Preview"
When you edit a page please use "Show Preview" before "Save Page". In such case you don't need to make numerous midget edits that only infests page history. Thanks. Greg-Z (talk) 13:05, 28 July 2014 (EDT)
- Please check out the IMFDB Page Templates page for codes. It was designed for new users such as yourself. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:19, 28 July 2014 (EDT)
Apologies and thanks for the useful information Eddiehimself (talk) 16:04, 28 July 2014 (EDT)
Yakuza Dead Souls
Will you be uploading screenshots? And the the page needs many formatting fixes. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:47, 25 March 2015 (EDT)
Apologies, it is very much a work in progress. I wasn't planning on making the page live but I couldn't see any other way to save the page as a draft without publishing it. Eddiehimself (talk) 06:15, 26 March 2015 (EDT)
- I can move it to the talk page, where you can take your time. --Funkychinaman (talk) 07:27, 26 March 2015 (EDT)
- Sure, ok. Eddiehimself (talk) 07:30, 26 March 2015 (EDT)
- I suggest you go over the IMFDB Page Templates page linked above. The infobox template is a bit complicated, so I suggested you skip it for now. --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:40, 26 March 2015 (EDT)
- Sure, ok. Eddiehimself (talk) 07:30, 26 March 2015 (EDT)
- I added some more information and corrected guns name: Minebea not Minbea, rifle is Howa. But game screenshots are absolutely needs. If you can't upload screenshots, this article can't exist. Pyramid Silent (talk) 07:39, 28 March 2015 (EDT)
You're still missing a few caps. Will you be uploading the necessary caps? --Funkychinaman (talk) 15:43, 28 May 2015 (EDT)
Sure, I've got plenty of screenshots left if you need them... Eddiehimself (talk) 15:51, 28 May 2015 (EDT)
- Every entry should have an associated screenshot, so please do. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:10, 28 May 2015 (EDT)
Yakuza Kiwami image
I see that you had some issues with replacing an image. Usually, on IMFDB, a new version of an image needs some time to be actually updated after you upload it. However, you can force the article to display the new image; check out more details about this here, where it says "Common Issues, Check Here First". --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 14:34, 25 February 2019 (EST)
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
I'm fairly sure the "Vicar Mk. II", which you have as a SiG 551, is actually an FN FNC. Don't want to get into an edit war so figured I'd let you know.--Mandolin (talk) 20:41, 1 March 2019 (EST)
Cheers for letting me know. I think you are indeed right. You don't have to send me a personal message though. Feel free to make the edit yourself if you want with your reasoning, or at least put an entry on the talk page for the article. Eddiehimself (talk) 18:38, 2 March 2019 (EST)
Yakuza
While I do thank you for the very eloquent message you've given me, my weird text style and varying grammar isn't a major issue with myself, it's just that I tend to get lost in the blur of HTML and end up having to come back later and fixing it. I'll try to corral that myself, but thank you for bringing it to my proper attention --PaperCake 03:26, 15 March 2019 (EST)
