Lifelong shooter and firearm enthusiast. Former gunsmith, current hunter and shooter. I enjoy movies that feature proper use of firearms. So many movies are just silly in that aspect. One of my favorite is Hunter with Willem Dafoe. The use of his rifle in that movie was great, you could argue that the choice of rifle was a bit silly. How ever his employer did not want to risk sending a man with anything less than the most accurate rifle. Personally I would have equipped him with a Sauer 202 or Blaser K95 chambered for 223 rem, 243win or 6XC.

I have a theory regarding a compact rifle used in Homeland Season 4. I believe it is a Lee Enfield rifle, possible No.1 MK III. And not Mossin nagant as indicated on the IMFDB page.
