I own Stairway To The Stars, LLC and have been dealing in film memorabilia for nearly 30 years. I studied film history at FSU under the late Dr. Don Ungurait. After giving up on a retail location in Mt Dora, FL, I was hired by most of the auction houses wishing to have Entertainment sales and went on to catalog the PLANET HOLLYWOOD sale for Sotheby's in December 2002 and the JOHN WAYNE Estate in October 2011 for Heritage. My main focus, was reading and understanding Western Costume Company numbering systems, used on their labels, to identify film use. Prop weapons, although some of my favorite endeavors, have remained elusive, up to the early HIGH NOON sales when a population of Stembridge pieces came to market. Later, in 2007, the Peterson hoard was sold, at Little John's, making many collectors quite happy, in spite of the many incorrect attributions. I am mostly retired now, but continue to collect what I can find.
