I am a collector of bolt action military weapons and a film lover. I recently obtained a Remington M1903 made in July 1942. It came with a Type C stock with RA-P as the only cartouche and is obviously a Raritan Arsenal rebuild either towards the end of WW2 or just after. I have a Remington M1903-A3 that came with a scant stock that is apparently original to the rifle. However, last night I swapped stocks and now the profile of both weapons is to my liking. The 03-A3 looks better with the Type C stock and the M1903 looks better with the scant stock. The weapons were made by Remington as they were converting to the 03-A3 and the M1903 has a combination of stamped and milled parts. Its interesting. Now I want to look at these weapons as portrayed in the movies. I really like IMFDB and have looked at it many times in the past so I thought this would be a good time to register and give support to the site. Thank you.
