The Cockpit

The Cockpit (ザ・コクピット ) is a 1993 three-part OVA anime which tells 3 fictional different stories about Axis point of view during World War Two. The first episode "Slipstream" is about a German Pilot who has fallen out of favor but is nevertheless tasked with escorting the first German atomic bomb. In "Sonic Boom Squadron", the viewer gets an insight into the last hours of a young Japanese kamikaze pilot during early August 1945. And finally in the last episode "Knight of the Iron Dragon" two Japanese soldiers, during the Battle of Leyte, embark on a journey trying to keep a promise.
