The Battleship Island Ryoo Seung-wan . Set during the Second World War, the film follows the imprisonment and slavery of a group of over 400 Koreans by the Imperial Japanese on the manmade Battleship Island / Gunkanjima , an artificial island off the coast of Japan, and their escape from their Japanese captors.
