Texas – Doc Snyder hält die Welt in Atem is a 1993 Western parody movie, written, directed and starred by German comedian and Jazz musician Helge Schneider. The movie was never released abroad, thus it appears here under its original title. (It was a great theatrical success in Germany, though)

The movie was shot at the area of the Karl-May-Festspiele in Elspe (live-action reenactment of the Western novels by German writer Karl May), so it is likely that the guns shown in the film were also supplied from there.

The following weapons were used in the film Texas - Doc Snyder hält die Welt in Atem:

Single Action Army, Artillery model

A Single Action Army revolver with a wooden grip and the 5.5" "Artillery" barrel is used throughout the movie by most of the main characters. It appears in the hands of Doc Snyder (Helge Schneider), the Sheriff (Werner Abrolat) and the Nasenmann (Peter Thoms). Snyder and the Sheriff also carry this weapon holstered.

It is most likely that this weapon is a blank-firing replica.

Unidentified Single-Barrel Shotgun

During a short scene in which Hank Snyder (Peter Berling) is being freed from prison, the Sheriff grabs a Unidentified Single-Barrel Shotgun. A lineup of these weapons is on display at the wall. Later, when Snyder fights the remaining townsmen of Texas, one of his victims lies on the ground with this shotgun.
