Extended Cut

Interesting

Hmmm. IMFDB won't allow us to type in the actual CORRECT TITLE for this movie, which is "xXx". Because it won't allow a lower case letter to start a title. But the actual official title (per IMDB and the movie poster) is "xXx" (lower case x, Upper case X and then a lower case x). I think this might need Bunni's attention, actually. DISPLAYTITLE, according to the mediawiki documentation I've hunted down, shouldn't need a special template (and you can get rid of that page), it needs a server-side option called $wgAllowDisplayTitle to be set. If I'm reading Special:Version right we're also running slightly old version of Mediawiki software on the site. Evil Tim 03:39, 19 September 2011 (CDT)

FNC, not HK-33

The rifle that Vin Diesel uses during the raid on the fortress is not actually a HK-33, but a FNC that is equipped with a Beta-C mag and telescopic sight. More details can be found on the weapon in this link: Long Mountain Outfitter's page on XXX

Steyr TMP

It's great now (you have such a good eye for shots of the guns). Only thing is, maybe a few more shots of Yelena with the MP9? -MT2008

Unfortunantly it's not a MP-9 but a Steyr TMP with the detachable stock that Steyr offered and an aftermarket scope mount installed. Not in the photos that the stock in the screencaps has no pivots and the barrel is nearly identical to the one shown in TMP photos. Rockwolf66

Hey, chill. He might actually be right. Personally, I can't really tell if the stock is fixed (in which case, the gun is probably a TMP with an aftermarket stock added) or an MP-9 with a folding stock. I for one think you are 100% right. The top doesn't have picattiny rails, and the C-more sight is mounted customly. The stock is likely an aftermarket add on, or another custom job. It's a TMP modified to take a folding stock. They DID have folding stocks available for the TMP and also the others are right, a close look at the body of the weapon indicates it is a TMP. It lacks the changes made in the B&T gun design Just putting my 2 cents in MoviePropMaster2008

Modifications

The "serrated blade" under the barrel isn't actually a blade, if you look at the second screenshot, it's rounded. But if it's not a blade, what is it? And what's that strange ring on the end of the barrel?

The blading is likely just in use like a barrel weight, to make the front end heavier, and the ring on the end is a muzzle break. - Gunmaster45

the description on the page still says, the barrel weight is some kind of picatinny rail system....could this be rewritten, because it clearly isn't a rail to attach something.

also on the picture showing the load of two regular bullets and four special bullets, it says that the purple ones would be blood splatter darts....this is incorrect. the red ones are blood splatter darts while the purple ones are explosive bullets. it is evident by the fact, that XXX uses one explosive dart to blow up the electro-box in the fortress.

the fact that the special bullets look like buttons might be explained that the holes are vent-ports for some compressed gas that is used to propell the darts at less than lethal velocities (it looks quite similar to the gyrojet rounds used in the James Bond movie "you only live twice") WARthog 03:12, 12 May 2011 (CDT)

Yeah, though the rims on the bullets would kinda stop them ever actually leaving the cylinder. I've changed the entry; I really think the serrated thingy is just there for looks, since I can't see how it would do anything other than make the gun more likely to snag on stuff when you draw it. This movie only? C-More sights are very common in movies generally (far more common than they are in the real world). It probably has little to do with advertising; more because they're inexpensive and look very high-tech. Air pistol is not a crosman 2240, but a Webley & Scott Tempest or Hurricane

In the scene at the restaurant, Xander is shot with a dart from a Tempest or Hurricane, not from a 2240. The tempest is a spring powered air pistol, the 2240 is CO2 powered. You can see the difference between the rear sights and at the front. A Crosman 2240 has a round tube under the barrel, the tempest hasnt.
