XM177E2 ? - bozitojugg3rn4ut 15:19, 10 February 2012 (CST)
- From what I can see that matches, but would need better shot of the flash hider to know for sure. --commando552 14:55, 13 February 2012 (CST)
- Unfortunately, there is no better shot of the gun. Considering that it is from an archive footage, it is probably a real XM177E2, not a mock-up. On the M16 page there is no other variant with this kind of a barrel and forward assist, that is why I thought it is a XM177E2. - bozitojugg3rn4ut 15:15, 13 February 2012 (CST)
Is this some sort of variant of the MAG? According to wikipedia, that is what should be mounted on a Merkava Mark IV MBT. - bozitojugg3rn4ut 13:37, 13 February 2012 (CST)
- Yeah, that is the loaders FN MAG. It looks odd because it is fitted with the barrel of the coaxial variants (like the M240C) which have no flash hider or front sight. I assume it is meant to aim purely with tracer fire, which is fair enough considering you are firing from the roof of a tank as it bounces around. --commando552 14:55, 13 February 2012 (CST)
- It is part of a remote weapons station? --Funkychinaman 14:57, 13 February 2012 (CST)
- Don't think so, if it was part of an RWS I think you would see sensors and a sturdier mount. Also, the gun would be mounted directly on top of the tank, not hanging off to the side. The loaders mount is barbaric on the Merkava, it is pretty much a cradle on the end of a pole that you can swing around to where you want it. --commando552 15:12, 13 February 2012 (CST)

- No, it is not part of a RWS. Oh, and thanks. --bozitojugg3rn4ut 15:15, 13 February 2012 (CST)
Ferfrans RMGL 403
I think this is actually a DEFCOM XL 200. I can't find any info, but assume that Ferfrans bought out Defcom and now makes a version of it, but you can just about make out the word "DEFCOM" stamped on the side of the launcher. --commando552 08:12, 18 February 2012 (CST)
- Could be a licensed copy of the XL200. I took the "RMGL 403" name from their website, it is never mentioned on the show, only XL200. - bozitojugg3rn4ut 12:29, 18 February 2012 (CST)
AC-130
Which AC-130 is this:
AC-130A ? --bozitojugg3rn4ut 11:44, 19 February 2012 (CST)
- I'd have to guess AC-130A as well. --Funkychinaman 14:17, 19 February 2012 (CST)
- 4x Miniguns, 4x Vulcans, I'd love to see that thing fire. 48,000rpm. Or 800 rounds per second :)--Mandolin 14:54, 19 February 2012 (CST)
- Yes, is definitely an original AC-130A "Project Gunship II". Does anyone know where the 4 miniguns are located on the original AC-130As? The four large cannons along the bottom in the pic are the 20mm Vulcans, and the little gun you can see poking out above the front of the landing gear sponson is a minigun. I think there is another a couple of metres aft of this but is obscured from this angle by the sponson, but where are the other two? I can only find pics of back end of the upgraded "Surprise Package" AC-130As, which got rid of the other two miniguns and the aft Vulcans to mount a pair of 40mm Bofors. --commando552 17:18, 19 February 2012 (CST)

Unknown M16 variant
My guess is the XM16E1, although the receiver looks different. --bozitojugg3rn4ut 14:38, 1 March 2012 (CST)
- It isn't and XM16E1 as it doesn't have the detent holder (horizontal rib on the lower receiver under the ejection port:
- In that cap it also seems to lack the step halfway along the lower receiver which makes the magazine well part of the receiver slightly thicker than the rear part (step lines up with rear of ejection port), which is present on all AR-15 type guns that I know of. Quality is a bit dodgy in this cap though so it could be there, do you have another shot that shows it? Either way, there is no standard colt gun like the above one, as it has an A1 upper with slabside lower. It also looks like it has an A2 pistol grip and stock, so think it is a mix. --commando552 15:38, 1 March 2012 (CST)
- On second thought, it could be a sporter of some sort with the screw pin replaced with a push pin. The early models of the R6500 AR-15A2 Sporter II had an A1 upper with slabside lower, with A2 handguard, grip and stock. The only way that it is different to this one is the handguard, but I think the early models of the R6500 had a proprietary handguard that was made to fit a triangular A1 end cap, so if these had broken of were worn out the easiest replacement part would actually be a triangular A1 handguard like this one. --commando552 16:01, 1 March 2012 (CST)
- There is no better shot unfortunately. Should I add it as "Custom AR-15" ? - bozitojugg3rn4ut 17:20, 1 March 2012 (CST)
- Probably, is hard to tell for sure from that shot. My best guess is an early model Sporter II with the handguard replaced. The below pic has had the crew pin replaced with a push pin, although looking at the one in the show again it might actually still have the standard sporter screw pin but again, is hard to tell. --commando552 18:14, 1 March 2012 (CST)
The Browning HP
This is a stupid thing to point out and ask, but why does the Browning HP they show next to the MP7 have Pachmayr grips from a Colt Gold Cup National Match? PaperCake 01:00 21 December 2014 (EST)
- They aren't from a Colt Gold Cup National Match. That has normal 1911 pattern grips with a pair of grip screws on each side, so two holes in the side of the Pachmayr grips. This just has the one hole at the back, due to the fact that they are made for the Browning which only has the one grip screw on each side. Apart from the screw positions they look similar, but most of Pachmayr's grips tend to have the same general design, just adapted to fit the pistol in question. --commando552 (talk) 18:29, 21 December 2014 (EST)
