Guns from other manufacturers?

I just created a page for the TOZ-35 and made a link to the gun page on this manufacturer page. In the process, I happened to notice that judging by the gun decription on the respective pages, many weapons on this manufacturer page do not actually seem to be manufactured by Tulsky Oruzheiny Zavod but rather by others (see below).

(1) Izhevsk Machinebuilding Plant --> AKSU-74

(2) TsNIITochMash --> PSS Silent Pistol, AS Val, APS Underwater Assault Rifle, SR-3 Vikhr & VSS Vintorez

Somebody with more knowledge of Russian manufacturers please advise what to do; (a) remove these guns from the Tulsky Oruzheiny Zavod page or (b) add Tulsky Oruzheiny Zavod as manufacturer on the above 6 gun pages. Thanks in advance for your feedback, PeeWee055 (talk) 09:14, 31 August 2014 (EDT)

AKS-74U was designed by Izhmash but manufactured by both Izhmash and TOZ. And TsNIITochMash is a design bureau, not a manufacturer, so all guns that were created on TsNIITochMash were manufactured in Tula or Izhevsk. Greg-Z (talk) 09:23, 31 August 2014 (EDT)

Hi Greg, thanks for the detailed explanation. With that in mind, it seems logical we take two actions. First, delete the manufacturer page for TsNIITochMash simply because this company is not a manufacturer.

From this page, 5 out of 9 guns are already mentioned on other pages with a manufacturer (TOZ, Izhmash and/or Izhmekh) so we’re fine. However, the remaining 4 guns (see below) have no proper manufacturer allocated.

(1) SR-1: manufacturer?

(2) SR-2 Veresk: manufacturer?

(3) KS-23: manufacturer?

(4) PKP "Pecheneg": manufacturer?

Can you indicate to what manufacturer (TOZ, Izhmash and/or Izhmekh) these 4 guns must be allocated? Thanks for letting me know, I will be happy to follow up - PeeWee055 (talk) 16:03, 31 August 2014 (EDT)

Sorry, looks like I mistaked, and TsNIITochMash manufactures some guns, at least SR-1, SR-2, SR-3M (but not SR-3), according to their website. Other manufacturer for SR-1 is Mayak plant (cannot say more about it). Pecheneg is manufactured by Degtyarev plant. I have no info about KS-23. Greg-Z (talk) 16:21, 31 August 2014 (EDT)
