Two magazines taped together

I always thought or assumed taping two mags together came from Vietnam. But considering Murphy does it in a 1955 film, that disproves what I thought (Murphy probably must have did it also in WWII). I can't think of any other WWII films that shows this being done. --Predator20 16:15, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

I have seen photos of GI's taping three mags together for the M3 Grease Gun and Thompson. Also the OSS welded two mags together on their UD42 SMG in France. -Phoenixent 16:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Lee Marvin also did it in the Dirty Dozen. --funkychinaman 16:43, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Page Reworked

I have re-uploaded the images from Crackshot with the proper type of screenshot image names. Removed was some excess images and the use of the weapon nomenclature as image name. Credit for the images originally uploaded by Crackshot have been labeled as his. --phoenixent 15:30, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

I doubt this is important in any way but the 3rd Thompson picture isnt Murphy. its Brandon. as i recall Pfc.Brandon was lefty, and also Murphy at one point says to him "Gimme back my thompson." i believe they switched weapons because Murphy was running around. "German" Tanks

This page states that the tanks standing in for Panzers are M47 Pattons. The tanks in the movie could actually be M41 Walker Bulldogs. Majorcamo (talk) 23:53, 9 February 2015 (EST)
