The SIG Sauer P220 picture was misidentified. It looks like it is actually a modified SIG Sauer P226. More specifically, it looks like the exact same model P226 that was or is issued to NYPD officers.--L.J. Gibbs (talk) 19:09, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- This is the P226 used in the show: http://www.thespecialistsltd.com/sig-sauer-p226
- This exact same gun was also seen in The Happening, which had the same armorers as this show. It's actually not the NYPD issue, as those are all rail-frame versions. This is an older 226 that was converted to DA-only. -MT2008 (talk) 21:06, 17 September 2014 (EDT)
- The SIG on The Specialists's website has the exact same modifications as an NYPD-batch SIG Sauer P226. The silver controls and grip screws, along with the lack of a decocker are dead giveaways. Take a look at this YouTube video made by an NYPD officer reference his NYPD issued SIG Sauer P226. --L.J. Gibbs (talk) 09:26, 18 September 2014 (EDT)
- The YouTube link didn't appear, so not sure what you mean. The NYPD adopted the P226 DAK after rail frames and milled slides had become standard. The P226 in the show belonging to The Specialists, Ltd. is an older generation version (no rail, stamped slide) that has been mocked up to look like an NYPD-issue P226. So it's not quite the "exact same model". It is common for armorers to modify an older-model gun to look like a newer version when the older model is all that is available (this is why you see so many M16A1s that have been modified to look like M16A2s, and vice-versa). -MT2008 (talk) 18:12, 21 September 2014 (EDT)
