Surely the gun on the film poster is a Walther P38? Alasdair.

A few extra guns: The rifle used by Don Cheadle is a Zastava M70B1, the rifle in the trunk is an Armalite AR-18 along with a Glock 19 and a Beretta 92 pistol series of some kind. Is the rifle leaning against the wall meant to be the same gun used by Don Cheadle? If so I would say it is a replica AK-47 (not an AKM, wrong front sight) used for non firing scenes. Also, I would say that the AKs in the bag and the one in the trunk are Type 56-1s (top gun in the bag is the same one as the trunk gun, can tell by marks on the handguard). You can't see the front sight totally but could be hooded, but the combination of stamped receiver, un-ribbed top cover, perforated gas tube and no muzzle nut points to the Type 56-1. --commando552 04:42, 14 February 2012 (CST)

The one leaning against the wall isn't a Zastava, as it has the regular two vent handguard and doesn't have the grenade sight. In that case would guess it is a non firing replica, so would probably call it an AK-47 replica. --commando552 04:30, 15 February 2012 (CST)

Regardless of all the AK variants this was one funny movie. Over course it's over the top, but it also nailed the weirdness of police work - even if it is an Irish movie. There are certain aspects to the profession that are the same pretty much where ever you are. Funny stuff. I can also tell you that I work with seveal guys who would hate this movie.
