Talk:The Equalizer (1985)
The Equalizer and Callan
I don't know many people are aware that the serie's makers and Edward Woodward considered the program to be an unofficial sequel to Woodward's earlier series Callan. There was an interview with Woodward were he said that David Callan had gotten so sick of working for British Intelligence that he emigrated to the U.S. and took the alias of Robert McCall. In the U.S. he was recruited by their intelligence agency, which he worked for for some time (around 16 years). I believe they couldn't gain any rights to have the series as a direct sequel due to the original rights being held by the BBC.--The Mercenary 16:31, 29 May 2012 (CDT)

McCall's PPK grips
I was watching "Reign Of Terror" today and when McCall slams his PPK onto the counter near the end you can see that it's fitted with wrap around rubber grips, I would guess that they are Pachmayr ones from the look of the rubber. --cool-breeze 14:07, 9 December 2011 (CST)
Season One
Ive just watched a few episodes from season one and notice a a few ommisions...
The Children's Song has Perry Lang using a M14 and possibly a Itheca pump action shotgun but with a longer barrel.
The Distant Fire has a hitman using a suppressed M1911 type pistol, it seems to have been modified with a longer threaded barrel. --The Mercenary 16:31, 29 May 2012 (CDT)
