Talk:Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow
Under "construction"
I'am currently collecting screenshots of the weapons, wich will probably take some time.
- If you're still playing the game, then it's probably best to construct it on the talk page and move it over when it's finished. Most people have screenshots on hand before they start the page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 13:24, 3 March 2014 (EST)
- I hope we can avoid some of the formatting errors that plagued the previous Syphon Filter pages. Please go over the IMFDB Page Templates again. Thanks. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:09, 9 July 2017 (EDT)
- Also try to keep the firearm names to what's listed on IMFDB. It is Heckler & Koch, not Heckler and Koch, and most weapons (USAS-12, SMAW) use abbreviations. Also try finding the weapons on IMFDB first, problems arise such as the naming of the MAC-10 and TEC-9 with Ks, the incorrect SPAS-12 designation, the Zastava and AUG retaining their in-game names, and other biz. This was written in no way to discourage you, and in fact I'm just trying to help. Sorry if it sounded harsh! :) -SeptemberJack (talk) 12:49, 10 July 2017 (EDT)

Of course, it's STILL a work in progress. As explained, it's impossible to screenshot the Vita, so I took pictures and will cut out the weapon images with Paint, then paste them here. As for weapon naming conventions, yes I'm well aware of company names and the like, but knowing Syphon Filter Sony and Bend likes to issue more unconventional names. -Ft763
- It doesn't matter what they're called in the game, the ID is based on what the weapons actually are. --Funkychinaman (talk) 07:42, 11 July 2017 (EDT)
- Some points here - When you're about to shift to a main page proper, you start a new page (or edit the old, if there was one and the content was removed) and only move the content from the talk page over. You don't move the actual talk page wholesale to a main page. Moving a page can cause some issues. For one, it (by default) turns the previous page into a redirect page that in this case moved you in circles when you tried to use the talk page. At least until I removed the redirect. Also, by moving it the history of the talk page is now gone, as it's now history for the 'main' page. Not a huge thing but can be confusing and problematic if you're wanting to go back through previous edits. Bottom-line, there should be (and indeed, usually is) no need to actually use the 'move' option on anything for most editing - moving pages is a particular operation that can cause some issues when done improperly. Keep this in mind. That said, there's no absolute need to move/create a page just because discussions have started on the talk page, that's what they're for, and they can exist concurrently with your WIP content. We have categories for a reason. With that, I otherwise personally don't think this was ready for going on a main page, as you're still missing quite a bit, but that's me. Bah, anyway, just my piece. Weapon identification
These weapons SERIOUSLY need to be identified.
- I'm not sure if this is a real pistol. It looks like an M1911 and Glock had a baby. --Funkychinaman (talk) 08:13, 21 May 2017 (EDT)
Apparently, somebody claimed it's some kind of Glock. Probably painted matte black to discourage people from ID'ing its true model.

Or it seems to me Trinidad (the Chinese agent) could be pulling a Lara Croft. I'm guessing she's dual-wielding a Heckler and Koch USP but maybe that's taking things too far? - Ft763
Ok, more pictures of unidentifiable weapons. The quality sucks I know, but does anybody have the faintest idea what this is? -Ft763
