Talk:Supernatural
Please conform to IMFDB standard
For one, identify the actors please. This is super important since we eventually want to add their gun usage on this show to their actor page (and that includes GUEST stars). Also identify the Season and episode on ALL screencaps. Having seen a bunch of recent Supernatural episodes, I know that there are better shots of all the main guns .... just have to get them that's all ;) Finally, if you can, give the readers some context into the screenshots. Yes, I know, sometimes it just slips, and I've done it too, but try to put meaningful explanations into the texts of the Screenshots. This puts the image into perspective for the viewer who doesn't immediately know what episode the pic is from. WHich reminds me, NO SPOILERS. Not that anyone has done it yet, but don't do it in the future either. :) MoviePropMaster2008 14:45, 28 September 2011 (CDT)

I swear I think that's a Hi-Point. --Predator20 20:58, 13 September 2011 (CDT)
Looks like a Beretta Px4 Storm to me. --cool-breeze 15:05, 28 September 2011 (CDT)
STOP! putting hyperlinks in the section titles
Whoever did that is an idiot. The rules specifically prohibit putting hyperlinks in the section titles, and yet, several anonymous users (IP addresses only) went through and hyperlinked nearly this entire page (which is now being changed BACK). Knock it off. If any more anonymous users does something that goes against the written IMFDB rules again, they get ONE warning on their talk page, and if it happens again, even ONCE, they're banned. Either READ the rules or go away. MoviePropMaster2008 17:52, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Amen. --Jcordell 05:21, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Ruby´s knife
Shouldn´t ruby´s knife be on the page due its ability for killing demons and other creatures? Besides, can´t its blade be the lance of longinus?-the las one is a suposition due its power against demons- (sorry because of my bad english, im not a native speaker)
- Nope, stupid idea, what is with foreign IMFDB members wanting to include all these 'non firearms' into the site. Ridiculous MPM
I wounder what would a be a good handgun for fighting paranormal threats. Rex095
While I have no issue with displaying all weapons used, this is the Internet Movie Firearms Database. And an edged weapon is not a firearm. --Crazycrankle 06:03, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
If any of you have ever seen the show, the knife makes demons to burn inside the human bodies. So its, that technical way a firearm, it sets things in fire (demon souls)
"A firearm is a device which projects either single or multiple projectiles at high velocity through a controlled explosion. The firing is achieved by the gases produced through rapid, confined burning of a propellant. This process of rapid burning is technically known as deflagration" --Crazycrankle 22:31, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
And [[1]]? It doesn`t fire projectiles. ¿And what can you tell me about Rambo knifes, green arow bows, non firing guns. I was just saying that it IS important in the show, and it was my way of asking if someone has a drawing or a picture of the actual used knife. If imfdb doesn`t consider it a "firearm", well, it won`t be here. Sorry if bothered, just wanted to explain myself. TheBarry1394- (sorry, I was the one asking in first place, and the another one, I dont want to login in this pc)
Supernatural: The Anime
I heard about this today. I don't know whether to laugh or to cry. The trailer is in Japanese. --redram355 11:30, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
It was actually amazing. Just like the show. They captured the humor perfectly and Jared is in the Dub. Dean seems to use the Taurus PT92 as his main gun. (Even has the grip safety drawn on it). Only thing that sucks was they had to change all the other characters looks. Dad is fine but Bobby is lame. Needs a IMFD page :P
Sixth Season Weapons
Where are they, what did they use, does anybody know? Especially the sniper rifle from "All dogs go to heaven" ? Sorry, I'm a weapons noob, but I wanna know ! -- 89.12.246.31 18:00, 29 April 2011 (CDT)
In episode 21 HP Lovecraft uses an old Smith & Wesson Model 10, cocks the hammer but doesn't fire it. --Taurus96 06:04, 21 May 2011 (CDT)
Unknown revolver
Not sure about Dean and Kubrick's revolvers, but Ellen's revolver looks like a Colt Trooper Mk. III to me. - Matt Bold text
Kubrick's (Michael Massee) revolver is a Colt Python with a 4 inch barrel and nickel finish. --Mmarlon brando (talk) 10:12, 3 November 2012 (EDT)
Unlisted Revolver
In season 1 episode 21 "Salvation" Dean aquires an old Colt Revolver (?) to stand in for the real Colt and gives it to John. Thought I'd list it here since it isn't on the page yet. - Diego Wolfwood 21:01, 17 February 2012 (CST)
In season 2 episode 12 "Nightshifter" there's another unlisted revolver used by Dean, probably taken from one of the bank security guards. Diego Wolfwood 22:56, 25 February 2012 (CST)
In season 3 episode 14 "Long Distance Call" a man kills himself with a revolver in the beginning. There's a pretty clear shot of it. Diego Wolfwood 01:22, 6 March 2012 (CST)
Season 7, 8 and 9
I know that season 9 has only recently come to a conclusion but is there a particular reason we haven't created these pages? --Bauer2121 (talk) 15:17, 3 August 2014 (EDT)
- The seasons all used to be combined on one page and when I split them a while ago it was very incomplete with basically nothing on the later seasons. I have been making the pages as I've gone along watching it but have only done up to 6 so far. However, I have been on a bit of a binge recently and have the caps for 7 ready to go and am currently watching 8 so those should be up relatively soon. If somebody wants to do 9, feel free as I do not have that on DVD yet.
Anyone seen this blog post?
I found a blog post which has some pics of various costumes and props used in the series, including the Colt and Taurus pistols used by Dean and Sam (respectively). The post contains images of both the real (blank-adapted) weapons and the rubber weapons that are used to stand-in for them during stunt work. -MT2008 (talk) 15:50, 24 July 2021 (EDT)
