Unknown Handguns to be Identified
A stainless handgun is seen next to a slain gang member in "Wednesday" (S4E01). Also in the episode, Officer Sherman enters a backyard during a footchase,and several partygoers are seen with various handguns including a revolver and a stainless automatic.
- I think it has the 3rd gen wraparound grips meaning that it is either an early model 4506 or an early 5906, but without seeing the sights or the barrel length I don't think you can tell the difference. I would probably go with the 5906 as I think that you would probably be able to see a bit of the adjustable rear sight from that angle if it was a 4506, but am not sure. --commando552 03:59, 26 August 2012 (CDT)
Toy Gun
In the episode "Fallout", Tang shoots a kid with a toy gun, which is later seen to be a SIG-Sauer replica, it appeared to be a compact model, either a 228 or 229. It is even referred to by one of the officers as a "SIG 9mm" when he talks about not knowing the difference between the toy and the real steel. The toy appeared to have a black (blued) finish with silver (stainless) controls. Tang removed the orange cap to make her shooting look more justifiable. If anyone could add this, it'd be wonderful. I can't figure out for the life of me how to screen-cap, so I didn't want to add it to the page just yet. Glock172 02:03, 26 August 2012 (CDT)
I've recently rewatched this episode with a cop friend of mine and he said that it is still justified because if it "looks enough like a gun", don't take any chances. He recalls a report about a man that disguised a shotgun in a super soaker. I've played Airsoft in college as a hobby, all dressed up and it's were I learned how to handle guns before getting real ones. - That's absolutely right. If a police officer feels that you are a threat to him or someone else, they aren't going to take the time to double-check what the weapon looks like. If it looks like a gun from first glance and they feel endangered, they shoot. You might get a warning beforehand, but if you don't heed it, it's lights out for sure.
