So, I just finished watching the movie, and I think the ACOG-equipped carbines used by Henry Cavill's SF team are actually M727s as they lack thumbscrews to remove the carry handles. Spartan198 (talk) 12:18, 29 May 2017 (EDT)

I haven't seen it but judging by the caps on the page I don't think so (at least not on the carbines shown here). They can't be seen ultra clearly, but if you look at the rifle held by the guy going up the stairs you can see the rail clamps on the right side. Also, I found this production image where all of the carbines visible are M4s, either with carry handles fitted or with them detached and replaced with ACOGs. --commando552 (talk) 12:56, 29 May 2017 (EDT)

There are unmodified M60's standing in for Abrams tanks, clearly reffered to as Abrams at the beggining of the movie --Iceman (talk) 12:59, 29 May 2017 (EDT)

Most Abrams tanks you see in movies are CGI since no vehicle prop company has any (functionally, at least; I think some company in the UK owns the burned out hulk of an XM1 that was destroyed during trials back in the 70s, but I don't entirely recall), hence the frequent use of stand-ins like the M60 and Challenger. The only real one that we know of was in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and it was lent to the production by the DoD. Spartan198 (talk) 23:52, 17 September 2019 (EDT)
