Unknown Rifle 1
A guard at the fort is armed with a rifle. It's too long to be a carbine, but it looks a bit short to be a full sized Trapdoor Springfield. It's also got a socket bayonet, which also rules out the carbine. To my knowledge, the one size fits all rifle didn't come around until the turn of the century.
