is the MP-444 "Baghira" the Russian army new side arm?
- Actually, the Makarov PM was officially replaced in Russian service by the Yarygin PYa, but you still see a lot of Makarov's around. Orca1 9904 18:01, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Which also has designation MP-443 "Grach". By the way, SB2296, reason for moving article to MR-444 Baghira? Because BF2 said so? Despite it having lots of errors and the sources I provided? I'll revert the change if there is no disagree. --Masterius 12:33, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

"Baghira" pistol is almost unknown in Russia. The Army primarily uses the old PM, and also they have a small number of Yarygin PYa pistols (9 x 19 Luger). Also I heard that the army and police are dissatisfied with Yarygin PYa, and we have (in Russia) to build a plant the company Beretta. So perhaps that will soon be replaced by Yarygin PYa. Instead the Russian army will receive a Beretta pistol, but is not yet clear which one. Maybe this will be a model 92FS. In either case, "Baghira" has no relation to weapons of the army or police.Flexo 17:09, 25 March 2011 (CDT)
