MP-412 REX serial number 001 - .38 Special. Judging by the marking, it appears to be made in 1998. Note the different grips, hammer spur, and frame lock design, changed on the later variants of the revolver.

Discussion

Which games actually depict the automatic extractor on this revolver?

The vids I've seen for Bad Company 2 don't actually depict the automatic extractor (which is supposed to eject the rounds when you operate the top-break action) working--the player character just tilts the revolver backwards and shakes them out.

Also, is this revolver ambidextrous by design? --Mazryonh 03:28, 30 October 2011 (CDT)

Battlefield 3's reload animation features the automaitc extractor, it's a pretty useless sidearm but has an awsome reload animation.--Mattatack92 09:16, 31 October 2011 (CDT)

It is ambidextrous, but only really because the only controls are the trigger and the frame release (which is two buttons that must be pushed from either side at the same time). --commando552 11:47, 31 October 2011 (CDT)

I see; it's probably made so that you have to press a button on both sides at the same time so as to lessen the probability it will pop open when firing the powerful .357 magnum cartridges. Other top-break revolvers have a standard one-point release latch on only one side, I've heard, so they wouldn't be ambidextrous by design.
