That unknown pistol looks almost like a Lemat to me, although it's almost certainly one of the caplock or pinfire revolvers from the 1860s to 1870s. It has a somewhat tall hammer that you can see going up to the top of the frame which makes me think it's a pinfire revolver, also see a reflection of the muzzle blast under the barrel which would seem to indicate an under barrel ejector rod. Picture is dark but it looks like the hammer is in the white with a possible dark finish either blue or paint and a lanyard ring at the base of the grip which itself looks slightly rounded against the mans cuffs.
