AK variant
I can't tell 100% what the rifle is as it is not shown very well in that cap but it is definitely not a SA Vz.58. It has the wrong front sight, the gas tube protrudes too far ahead of the handguard, handguard looks like a standard AK, and the magazine is a standard AK-47 magazine rather than the proprietary when that the Vz.58 has to use. Not sure as it is not a very good shot but my guess would be an AK-47 as it looks to have the wide front sight, a smooth lower handguard and I think I can see something on the receiver which looks more like the back of the milled lightening cut rather than the stamped dimple. --commando552 (talk) 19:42, 25 December 2012 (EST) Yes, right, that SA 58 was not very affordable (our army had good records of weapons and ammunition). This gun really comes from Soviet soldiers, which before going home to sell their weapons for our mobsters. Here's i´m sent a picture for better identification.--Pandolfini (talk) 08:50, 26 December 2012 (EST)
AK47 or AKSM?
- Still not 100% as the folding stock is covering the location of the dimple or the lightening cut, but I think I can see the bottom edge of the milled receiver cut making it an AKS-47. Also, although not necessarily definitive, this gun has the milled AKS-47 style top cover and folding stock rather than the stamped AKMS ones. --commando552 (talk) 10:57, 26 December 2012 (EST)
