Taurus PT25?(Oct 2011)

Here's some Blu-ray pics of the unknown pistol in E Malama. Taurus PT25? Any more ideas? --Ben41 20:27, 18 October 2011 (CDT)

The cleaner raising her suppressed compact pistol. Can anyone read the engraving on the slide?

The pistol aimed at the witness.

The engraving to the best of my ability reads ".32ACP MW Candina?, CA" no idea what that means though.

Unknown pistol at first glance looks like a Taurus PT25, but slightly different features. - Redtornado

Its a Silver Grendel P-10 --Сергей Титов

Could it be a Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle? A lot is right, but a lot is also wrong like the curved front of the trigger guard. This is a really confusing pistol. Based on the diameter of the silencer could it be .32 or smaller something like a .25? AHHH, this gun haunts me. --Rebusdi 19:49, 7 October 2011 (CDT)

Looks like a Magnum Research Micro Desert Eagle, NAA Guardian, or Grendel P-10, but the distinct trigger guard makes it two-tone Grendel P-10 -DrNubb762

The problem is that the Grendel P-10's rear cocking serrations and top of the slide look nothing like the one in the show. The hinge from the front of the Taurus is clearly absent from the unknown gun. It is not a NAA Guardian, again the rear serrations are wrong, the front sight is wrong and the trigger guard. The Magnum Research, the front of the trigger guard is not correct, and the top of the slide looks somewhat wrong. The Rohrbaugh R9 seems similar, but again that trigger guard is the problem. With the scene being that almost as soon as it is pulled out by the assassin she is tackled by Kono, could it be that this gun is a rubber prop, not entirely based on any single gun? The only thing that gets me is that the assassin's little finger is projected from the rest of her hand implying a magazine base-plate like that of a NAA Guardian. I hope this helps us get a little closer to figuring this out.--Rebusdi 05:18, 22 October 2011 (CDT)

Why does it look so white? Angle of the shot or something?--Сергей Титов, Sergei Titov 15:18, 29 October 2011 (CDT)

Angle of the shot coupled with the lighting, those pistols have a dull rather than shiny silver colouring so I imagine that if exposed to high lighting they will look more white than shiny. --cool-breeze 15:25, 29 October 2011 (CDT)

Stock footage

Has anyone noticed that piece of stock footage that they have used quite a few times, of the police officers wearing tiger stripe camo getting out of a van? It was originally from the episode where the guy broke out of prison, but in every other episode the police SWAT wear black so it really sticks out like a sore thumb. Anyway, I think one of the guys jumping out of the van is carrying an M16A4, or some kind of AR-15 DMR, fitted with a telescopic sight. --commando552 10:12, 8 November 2011 (CST)

I'm totally digging the typo in your section heading and will try to find a way to use the phrase "sock footage" in one of my videos. Evil Tim 10:18, 8 November 2011 (CST)

2nd Screencap

am I right to think the Guns in the abandoned van are all the Props/Guns used throughout the Season? No point in hiring several new guns just for one scene. I thought i'd open the topic to purhaps point out the guns in the Van, and where they appeared in an Episode. In the 1st Screencap, on the bottom right, I see the Kimber used by the fake HPD assassins. I also see three 5906's used by Chin Ho and other HPD extras. The other S&W is Kono's Ladysmith. In the 2nd Screencap, I think it's McGarrett's H&K 416. Also, on the far Left, are Chin Ho's Shotguns.

I also spot Steve's P226's and Danny's P30's.----JazzBlackBelt-- 00:00, 26 February 2012 (CST)

"Molotov Cocktail"

Molotov Cocktails are prepared by McGarrett and Kono to temporarily blind the NVG goggles used by rogue security contractors in "Poi'pu" (S1E09).
