Lever Action

Curious, is this thing ever fired? If not I think it may be a complete mock up as it lacks both a loading gate and a ejection port. I suppose it could be a real gun with a plate stuck on the side, but that would make it non functional, and why bother? --commando552 (talk) 04:24, 23 August 2013 (EDT)

It's probably just a mockup as I read an article with the propmaster that this weapon was added late in the production. The barrel is shown to fold out and it looks like a CGI muzzle flash when fired. --Ben41 (talk) 11:45, 23 August 2013 (EDT)

The genre of the movie

This movie seems to be more a fantasy than a science fiction, doesn't it? Maybe it will be better to put it in Category:Fantasy? Greg-Z (talk) 15:38, 3 September 2013 (EDT)

Hans' custom revolver from the trailer

The picture we have up is terrible, but the weapon is actually based on extremely rare "turret" pistols. While there were other turret-style weapons, the Cochran is the best match I think based on the horizontal drum and the shape of the grip. They were percussion weapons designed to get around Colt's patent, but they have a serious design flaw: all the chambers in the drum are open, so they were subject to row detonations. This is pretty bad as it is, but it's worse with a turret gun - one chamber is always facing the shooter. In fact, the designer of the Porter pistol was actually killed by his own design when it misfired. Atypicaloracle (talk) 15:56, 25 October 2013 (EDT)
