I think that Chassepot rifles are most likely Gras 1874, as large number of Gras were purchased by Russian Empire during WW1, and lot of them were still at hand in late 1930s. These rifles have nearly identical outlok. Also I have some doubt about Enfield: the screen gun has the sling attached to second barrel band and buttstock while standard Enfield sling was attached to first barrel band and trigger guard. Let's keep it Enfield until some more hard evidence could be found. Greg-Z (talk) 02:16, 15 February 2017 (EST)
- Many thanks for the help! About percussion rifle, I think, tht's Russian 6-Lines Rifle Pattern 1856 (which also my be one of the Percussion cap musket in Déjà Vu (1988)). Pyramid Silent (talk) 09:30, 15 February 2017 (EST)
- The problem with M1856s is that they were converted to Krnka rifles, most if not all, so intact 1856s must be very, very rare (here is a discussion about the rarity of this gun). Everything is possible, of course, but I really cannot say. The image doesn't allow to make a strict guess. Greg-Z (talk) 11:15, 15 February 2017 (EST)
- It's the only moment, when this rifle is seen. Due this rifle didn't fired on screen, it's may be defective (if it was an actually real M1856 and not other gun, it's may was reason that avoid convert it to Krnka). So, what will you advice me: what's gun page I should add link to this movie? Pyramid Silent (talk) 11:54, 15 February 2017 (EST)
- Well, I see more "pro" than "contra" for M1856. As I have read just now, not all of these rifles were converted, as I previously thought. It's a pity there is no photo of an example of this rifle, only drawings and low quality pictures. Greg-Z (talk) 12:15, 15 February 2017 (EST)
- This photo may be better? Pyramid Silent (talk) 12:36, 15 February 2017 (EST)
